The displays were great and there were so many fun educational pieces to read along the way. I loved seeing all the variations on what aliens look like and even the fun house style mirrors where you can change hou you look just like the aliens. The giftshop was small but had some fun items and decent prices. Plenty of parking made it a wonderful and easy stop.

You can walk through this little secret world and explore the different cultures of aliens and how they developed throughout time and history. Especially, here in Vegas the world's most fascinating place to see aliens . Shhh!! There is a secret base that you can visit to find out. Or so they said. No one has lived that long to tell the public. Are you wondering what it looks like to see an actual alien? They have examples of what an alien craft could look like as a replica of course. We all know what our ancestors looked like? Or do we ? There is nothing better than to see proof. They have ancient knowledge of a crystal structure skull ! Could it be real perhaps . Lots of evidence in an actual alien autopsy? They set up the scene of the movie where you can see it . Its attention to details is amazing. This is a fun place to come and let your imagination wander and discover new things about aliens among us.

Could you imagine...... Could you imagine a time when you…read morehad to go hungry, or not have a job to support your family . You had to figure "life" out ! Sounds like some movie, we live in America the greatest country in the world. At one point in our history or a few the people were hungry and times were difficult. In fact no one had a job. This reference refers to the Great Depression . To control the wild Colorado River and make jobs the government started the Hoover dam project . This project was a plan so huge that it put individuals back to work . The dam was a huge endeavor and engineering project. It would dictate how the Colorado River and its allocation would affect California, Arizona, and Nevada water rights . The city of Boulder was the town created to house the workers and their families during this time of building. This first phase of the city of Boulder was controlled by the federal government. The city had bans on gambling, drinking, and enforced strict rules . These early settlements were not nice or great. The living conditions were poor. In fact prior to Boulder was conceived the living condition were something referred to as "Rag Town." It was a collection of shacks and tents. The worst possible. As an individual walks through this museum you can have a glimpse at what the average individual life's journey resembled through their eyes. What was daily life like ? What challenges did they encounter? What a great impact this museum presents through the workers point of view. The museum is put together so well . All the work that went into gathering the artifacts and information was done by hands that wanted others to see the world through their eyes .

4.5 stars This…read morelittle museum is located inside the historical Boulder Dam Hotel. Frankly, I was charmed by this hotel and would love to return someday for a stay. But, moving onto the museum...it is a small museum that packs a punch with the journey starting in the Great Depression when whole families migrated to places where they could get work. One of those places was Boulder city where the Boulder Dam (now known as Hoover Dam) was being built. The history of building the Hoover Dam is rife with struggle and, without the contributions of Depression-era Americans, this dam would not be possible. This museum highlights the struggle and sacrifice of these people, the development of Boulder City, and how politics played a huge role in keeping Boulder City from turning into the next Las Vegas, as well as drama over naming/renaming the Hoover Dam. The "official" count of industrial fatalities is 96 per the Bureau of Reclamation, but more industry-related fatalities have been suspected. The dam was built in 1931 and completed in 1936 with hydroelectric generators going online in 1937. Total cost was approximately $49 million (about $1 billion adjusted for inflation). The Hoover Dam is predicted to last 10,000 years, but experts believe other elements like water shortage would put the dam out of commission before the dam actually stops working. The Hoover Dam is still considered an engineering marvel with visits from 7 million tourists annually. This museum is worth the visit and it's free! There's free street parking as well. Highly recommend!

We had to reschedule our trip twice and both times our money was fully refunded immediately. When we finally got to go it was so worth the wait. We were picked up at a local casino/hotel in Las Vegas and driven to small airport in Boulder where there were snacks and a gift shop. Short check-in and wait and then we boarded a small aircraft for about a 25 minute flight to the Grand Canyon. We were taken to the helicopter and fantastic flight over the canyon and down to the canyon floor where we boarded a covered pontoon boat for about a mile up the river. Views were spectacular and boat "captain" took multiple photos of everyone. Small group so easy and fun. You then spend several hours at a couple of different locations at the rim. NOTE: some climbing, some a little challenging for us but we are 70 and 80. Cannot take large backpack so think small but include money for lunch and sunscreen. Everyone - from pilots to boat crew to behind the scene employees are fantastic to work with. Once in a lifetime experience - worth every dime. Highly recommend.

As you board the plane, they tell you where to sit. We ended up in the back of the plane, I'm guessing because my friend was tall and a little heavy, and I'm a little chunky so for weight purposes we got the back. It was not bad as it offered more leg room which the copilot told us which was a nice way of saying, you will balance out the weight for the rest of the people and being on a cane, sit in the back. I was on the left side of the plane which allowed me some great views of the Hoover Dam but not so great views of the Grand Canyon. The people on the right got the best views. The reason for the two stars, when you get on and sit down, they tell you to put on these headphones and to keep them on for the duration of the flight. A majority of the people did not keep them on. There was a little and I mean little history given as you approach the canyon and the rest was loud obnoxious music. Sadly there was NOTHING pointing anything out like, you are now flying over the Grand Canyon or giving you any landmarks to look at. If you did not know the canyon, you would never have know we actually flew over it as it looked a lot like parts of Lake Mead or mountain and desert terrain. It was a decent 1hr 20min flight with music playing in your ears, but I would NOT pay to do this again and if you have never been to the Grand Canyon, I would not recommend this tour. You will learn history like watching a movie but you will not know what you are looking at and if on the left side of the plane, you won't see much exciting landscape. The pilot & copilot add nothing to the information throughout the flight. The pilot flys the plane, the copilot helps him and every so often turns around to give you a thumbs up to make sure you are still alive. Save your money and take a bus tour, you will have better views, you will actually know you are in the Grand Canyon and you won't have to guess about anything you are seeing.

We were told that the raft could hold about 32 people, but we were lucky because on tour we had a total of 17, which was nice. We were also given a bag with snacks and a bottle of water, which was great to snack on during the tour. We met our driver at the Hoover Dam lodge. There was a lot of parking available, which made it easy. Our driver was super friendly and very informative. He took us to the raft to meet our tour guide. Our tour guide wasn't welcoming to my husband and I, but as other guests loaded onto the raft, his attitude changed. As we started the tour we stayed at the same spot for 30 minutes. Our guide passed out pictures in sheet protectors and began sharing about the history of the Hoover dam. Throughout the tour, our guide was testing us about our history. We didn't know much of it, that's why we attended the tour to learn. The best part of the tour was us getting out of the raft and landing on a piece of land to touch the water and skip rocks and take more photos. It was nice to see a few mini waterfalls and even a hot spring! I did wished we went deeper into the dam, but I guess that would've been for the longer tour. Also, I wish we could've swam in the lake, but it was very chilly. It was a great experience, however, the initial encounter with our guide was uncomfortable. We learned a lot and the views were amazing.

Really nice guy and very knowledgeable about the area. Our driver Micheal was also fantastic and helped get us oriented to the dam as we took the drive from the meet up point to the boat. Would highly recommend this tour, especially if you need to get away from the craziness of the strip for an afternoon. We did the hour and a half tour, but I think we will come back for the three hour.
