Out in the middle of nowhere, this old Spec's has got to be a city treasure because I've never seen so many people here on a non holiday week/weekend. It's a very small and tight space so I don't really recommend this place while our country is currently suffering from this crappy Coronavirus pandemic. Social distancing is not being enforced and I didn't see hand sanitizer anywhere. To their defense the way this store is laid out it would be really hard for them to enforce social distancing unless they had people wait outside. The corners and aisles are very tight and there's hardly any space between the cashier and aisle. Selection is limited. They didn't have what I was looking for that every liquor store should have. The cashiers themselves don't seem to be in a very good good. It was a very transactional experience with RBF. This place is in the middle of nowhere off of I-45. It's Spec's and that's it. Glad to have found this location in case of an emergency however it's not the greatest Spec's I've ever been to. I'll give it a mehhhhh. The truck came. I had to wait an additional 2 hours for my wife (who was in Houston) to get to me. I spent that time on their front sidewalk with all the presents, my luggage and dog looking like a homeless person. So I called 2 of the stores in Angus looking for the large bottle of Crown Royal - Apple flavor and JJ's was the spot. The owner was very helpful and friendly over the phone. We had to go to another liquor store first because my granny likes that one for her scotch!! LOL (NO....I'M SERIOUS) While I was at the other liquor store, I noticed the price of their large bottle of regular Crown Royal. When I got to JJ's, I inquired about a price match and even though they normally don't do that, they honored the competitors price....SCORE!!
