This one is pretty nice and pretty good shape. It has been around for a while, but is in a busier area, but off the beaten path just enough that it doesn't feel busy. It has a lot of selection of items from furniture to groceries to Halloween decorations and other decor items. I didn't find what I was looking for when I was here, but was allowed to wander around the store to see if I could find what I was looking for. Things are a bit unorganized right now because they seem to have so much inventory, that some walkways were blocked a little bit, but not too much so that made it difficult to get around. I just went different ways based on what was open. Tons of furniture. The people at the front when I asked the question about what I was looking for, were very nice even though they didn't have what I wanted.

I will say I feel some items are priced too high and then they have some sales that are "are you kidding me" but you can always find a good sale too. Their outdoor selections are great! Go there, you will be glad you did.

Shambles Furniture Restoration - While it is painted red, I would not call it Redwood. I'll just strip it myself and save $550.

I'm hearing impaired and prefer text or email communication, so I contacted The Shambles using Facebook Messenger and received this immediate response: "Thanks for messaging us. We try to be as responsive as possible. We'll get back to you soon." I requested a text message reply and promptly received contact from an employee. I sent photos of one set of chairs in need of refurbishment. That employee immediately called me, which might have been welcomed if I were a hearing person, but then again, if any customer preferred telephone contact they would not request text or email. The only positive was that the employee advised they do not refurbish that particular style of chair and offered the information for another local business that could handle the work. I replied a thank you for the referral and photos of 2 more furniture sets in need of restoration, requesting estimates. The reply I received was tinged with annoyance... which is why they received 1-star from our interaction. I know for a fact they could replace and recover the seats on my bar stools, but she indicated they don't work on aluminum chairs... I guess she saw the metal back and made assumptions instead of asking questions; not a good business practice. Next she quoted $550 to strip and refinish the "redwood" pieces, which is ridiculously high! I could buy nicer new pieces for $550. But the nail in the coffin was when she stated "If you want to discuss further, please call our shop at 317 894 7075 as this is my personal cell phone." I do business where I'm treated well and I don't have to demand accommodation for my disability. Her suggestion that I "call our shop" was like telling someone in a wheelchair to "climb the steps" so we can take your money. No thanks. Maybe another shop wanted my business so much that they installed a ramp to make it easier to do business with them, since you're not going to be accommodating, I'll go elsewhere.

They draw you attention with a cute chalkboard and some other fun decorations. The inside is awesome! They have so many cute and different items. Lots of Indiana themed things which I love, they have cute notebooks, handkerchiefs, garlands, and lipsense! The prints and postcards are darling, so many different scenes to pick from. I got the impression that a lot of this was all hand made, and to find that in a store is very rare, but enjoyable to be able to go through and enjoy checking out all the different treasures on the shelves. Really nice workers as well, so friendly with the greeting and helping you with any questions you might have.

The furniture doesn't last long because its so cute and one of a kind! She also sells some paintings from a local artist in Fishers that have great quotes on them, in very darling fonts. She also makes some cute Indiana paintings with words like "love," or "hope," written inside the painted state. The shop has easy access and parking from the street, but I don;t think it has wheelchair access because of the small steps leading up to it, unless its around the back. Very cute store with very reasonable prices!
