This review is based on my experience while WAITING for a fence to be installed…read more Disclaimer: The fence is still not installed. We were looking for a fence that was approximately 190 Linear ft. We contacted Mr. Scagnoli on March 7th to get an initial quote on installing a Black Vinyl chain-link fence on a house that we had JUST purchased and had not yet moved into. We did this because we wanted to have a fence installed in a decent time frame, and we have been fully aware of how hard it is to get contractors currently, and how far they are booked out. We received our quote on March 12th at 10:20 am. I immediately contacted him and told him I'd like to get him booked for an install. Mr. Scagnoli told us that he would be able to get us booked for the end of March. This was perfect for us, as we would have just finished our move. The end of March came, and I never heard from Mr. Scagnoli. Now being aware of the current state of busy contractors I gave him the benefit of the doubt, and gave him a ring. I was able to get into contact with him, and he assured me that he was very sorry and that he still had me on the schedule. Mr. Scagnoli informed me that the weather was not holding out, and that we were temporarily pushed back due to this. This was understandable. Mr. Scagnoli told me that we would be the end of April before he'd make it out. I was ok with this, and proceeded to wait until the end of April. The end of April came, and we were about 1 week out from the close of the month. I never heard from him, so I called him. I assumed at this point he would want to at least come measure, and see the property, so I mentioned this to him when I called. He agreed he would need to do that, but that we had been pushed back a little further again due to weather. I asked him when he was thinking, and he again told me it would be the end of May. Now this was a little frustrating, but we understood and decided to wait. The end of May came, and much like the end of April, I called him around 1 week before the close of the month. Mr. Scagnoli informed me that he had a 3 month schedule, and that he was trying to fit us in. I informed him that I needed some sort of idea of when this would be, as we were going on Vacation in June. After talking on the phone for about 15 minutes he informed me that it would be the end of June before he was able to make it out, but he would give me a call back the first week of June to nail down details. We are at the end of the first week of June now, and I've received no such phone call. Mr. Scagnoli came highly recommended from other fence installers in the area. We are now 1 week into June, I've not heard from him, AND all other fence installers are about 4 months out. This is extremely irritating because now, my family of 4 children and a dog will most likely be waiting until next year to have a fenced in back yard. Had we been properly informed by this man in the beginning... we would have made backup plans just incase. I'm highly recommending anyone that books through Mr. Scagnoli make backup plans because if your experience with him is anything like mine, you will not have a fence installed in a timely manner. What I can say about Mr. Scagnoli is that he always remained professional and business like over the phone. I never once had a negative interaction with him over the phone, however this gentleman has affected our ability to have an installer come out in a timely manor. I'm highly unsatisfied with the fact that I've now called this man 8 times in roughly 3 months, and have never gotten what I was promised with each phone call.

We were so impressed and ready to move to the back this year. The work and the results totally exceeded what we wanted. They have taken the back of our property and turned it into a sanctuary for us. I trusted everything they did and suggestions they gave. All we had to do was sit back and watch the transformation. Tristan and Brian were so much fun to have around at our house during the renovation, and I literally looked forward to starting my day hanging with the guys out back. I can never thank them enough, other than to say I look forward to our next project!! Thank you Hoffmans!! Chad Maple .

The company also was constantly wanting me to pay for the invoice for the job in full when half the job was finished. Because I have questioned the owner about the legitimacy of the thousands of $ over contract price and my desire to have him explain with documentation of the extra charges he has walked away from my job and has kept a substantial amount of my money I pre-paid him in good faith. I'm still in the process of getting my money back. Owner claims the reason for the added $ was due to excavating issues and over $4000 of gravel were needed. It was never mentioned until I wouldn't pay the invoice in full when half the job was completed. He has shown no proof of gravel deliveries when requested. He told me he hauled MY dirt to someplace they pick up gravel and didn't have any bill of ladings or proof of deliveries. I am in need of soil and would not have allowed the removal of MY soil when I have a lot across the street they could have hauled it to. The last $ amount before he just walked away from the job was $5700 over contract with no documentation. Very disappointed in my decision to choose this company for such an important home improvement.

I called the salesman and he said someone would call that night, no call received. Called the next day and indicated that if no call was received that day, we would be contacting the owner. That worked. Got our phone call and an appointment was made to measure the roof. Nick and his super Andrew arrived as scheduled and did the measuring, we discussed our concerns about the tardiness of the first follow-up call after the sales. They agreed and ensured communications would no longer be a concern and it wasn't. Install date was established a week later and all was good, so we thought. Install was scheduled for a Thursday with the delivery a day or so before, all's good. Day before delivery install crew requested permission to start a day earlier and it was agreed. Delivery occurred around 12:00 and 12:30. The crew started around 1:00 PM. The roof is approximately 3500sq ft with a fairly steep pitch and 2 valleys. I monitored their progress throughout the day and the work and all was looking good. It began getting dark around 7:00 PM and they were still at it and finished at 8:00 PM. Since it was dark I couldn't see all of the roof but I was able to see the north side. I pointed out they had missed some enclosures along the ridge vents and I needed those installed before they left site since they had informed me, they were not coming back on Thursday for follow-up. I contacted Nick and stated what I had found and had the crew correct before they left stating I would be able to see the southside of the roof the next morning (Thursday). Nick advised that he would be up that morning as well to inspect their work. The Thursday inspection found they were short snow rail so instead of calling to have more pieces rushed over they decided to use valley caps instead. There appeared to be a screw on the ridge cap not fully seated as well. Also, Nick had found an enclosure was missing on the west side of the garage valley. Nick directed the crew to come back to the site and fix what they could at that time. They were shown what other corrections were required once the additional snow rail was delivered. The additional snow rail arrived that Friday and the crew was back on Saturday. Up to this point I was OK the roof looked good and other than some miss fires, which I attribute to them rushing to get done before they left, the work seemed good. The problem I had, other than the initial communications issue after the sales, was when the lead crew member got into a heated back and forth with me about 2 rivets that went on the just installed snow rail. He was refusing to install them and I was insisting. He stated they weren't needed I said they were since they were on all the other pieces. I stated that PMR wouldn't get final payment until that was completed and he said that wasn't his problem that was PMR's problem. He did finally agree to install the rivets as I was calling Nick. In summary the roof looks good and is functioning properly, meaning no leaks. The initial communications with PMR were disappointing and made me question my decision but Nick did a fantastic job keeping me apprised of things and answered my calls and texts promptly. The crew did not speak English thus making communication very difficult. A translator on site would have been helpful. Would I recommend PMR (?) probably but I would be wary of the crew they send for the installation. If not for Nick I dare to think how this would have turned out. He is worth every penny they pay him and then some.
