CNC never did a spring clean up, never trimmed the bushes, applied 1 single weed application when there was supposed to be 4 and when they did apply it they did it in the middle of the hottest days so it burnt up the grass around the property. The board of directors reached out 4 times to the owner Chad about our concerns who apparently shrugged them off because nothing ever proved so we decided to terminate the contact giving them 30 days notice. They were so professional they chose to ditch out and not show up the last week (don't worry we will be holding payment). 5 weeks of season they didn't even show up now! They also never clean or weed out the garden beds either as designated in the contract. Do not hire this outfit if you have pride in your home they are extremely unprofessional, sloppy, and unreliable.

In May of 2018 I selected Vander Veer Concrete for a driveway replacement. I had other…read morecontractors submit bids and Vander Veer came in with the best bid. During the entire process, they were professional, courteous, and easy to work with. The removal and installation of the new driveway was done professionally and looked great. During the first winter I noticed a lot of pops and other imperfections with the material. I contacted Vander Veer and when the weather was conducive, they came out to survey the drive. After having them check it out, Reps from Ozinga Ready Mix and Ozinga's material supplier, Vulcan, inspected the drive. The end result was that Vulcan supplied Ozinga with inferior limestone and the stone was holding too much moisture and when freeze happened it caused the stones to pop and break the surface. Unfortunately, Vander Veer was unable to do anything about this, which is understandable as it wasn't their product. Sadly, neither Ozinga nor Vulcan would take responsibility for the inferior product that they supplied Vander Veer. Both companies just shrugged it off and basically said, "Not our problem." The popping of the inferior stone continues into the 2nd winter. I will definitely used Vander Veer for any future concrete needs, but I will request that they use materials from a supplier that will stand by their product.

Not a good sign when the first words out of his mouth are trying to upsell. I told him no, broom finish. He has no tape measure with him to measure the area. He didn't have anything else to say so I asked him how would they reinforce it? How would they slope it? I think this guy was a salesperson who probably never did concrete work. Then I had to bring up the subject of stairs. I work during the day and this guy is wasting my time with his lack of sales skills and knowledge. So then he goes to his car and write up an estimate for $4,400. Congrats, you are the highest bidder! On the estimate form it says something like "Material prices go up in June, labor prices in July". This is to motivate you to sign now. He offers no information about whether or not the company is registered with the village. He wrote on the form "Customer gets permit", something we didn't discuss. I ended up hiring Caesar Garcia Concrete Solutions from Cicero thru Home Advisor. Saved $1400 with them. True professionals. Forget Vander Veer.

The owner, Jay El Mahassni and office rep Katie Smulevitz have shown a complete disregard for their contractual obligations and have demonstrated poor communication throughout the entire process. From the beginning, there were several issues. They significantly "miscalculated" the amount of pavers required for our project and suggested an unnecessary additional retaining wall, which we fortunately caught before it became a costly "mistake." Despite taking our final payment, they failed to complete the project as outlined in the contract. Attempts to contact Jay and Katie regarding these concerns were met with unresponsiveness. We made numerous calls and sent multiple messages, but it's clear they had no intention of addressing our issues or fulfilling their contractual obligations. Furthermore, the contract specifically stated that they would switch out the copthorne on the fireplace, but they outright refused to do so. Despite our persistent attempts to contact them regarding this matter, they continued to ignore our requests. Other aspects of the project were also left unfinished. The natural edge border around the arborvitae they planted was never created as agreed upon. The polymeric sand did not cure properly, leaving unfilled areas, and many of the edging pavers quickly became insecure. Any time it rains, polymeric sand erodes and finds its way into the pool. Additionally, the deck was not properly pitched, resulting in water pooling in multiple areas. In the worst area of pooling water, their solution was to install a drain off to the side, rather than the lowest point where water naturally settles. To make matters worse, several defective pavers were installed, which should have been covered under warranty. However, our attempts to contact Katie and Jay to resolve this issue have been futile, leaving us frustrated and without any recourse to this point. Several of the arborvitae they planted are dying and even though they are under warranty for one year, Jay El Mahassni refuses to return calls and texts. The warranty, which is clearly stated in the contract, does not appear to be something All Seasons will honor. It's clear that All Season Landscape and its owner, Jay El Mahassni, lack professionalism and operate without integrity. The consistent lack of communication further exacerbates the problems encountered throughout the project. I strongly advise others to avoid doing business with All Season Landscape Services Inc., regardless of any referrals or recommendations. Save yourself the trouble and find a reputable landscaping company that values their clients and stands by their commitments and warranty.

The trees are doing well The owners are ready to help and the customer service is great. They know their plants and will give you suggestions based on shade, no shade, soil type and proper planting. They even went the extra mile to help me secure the plants in my car and wrap the pot, so dirt didn't get on the inside of my car. Driving a car with three full plants inside was interesting. But I didn't take the option for them to deliver.

He insulted me and called me names for no reason. I never mentioned anything about race, but he still accused me of being racist, which is especially hurtful since I am Middle Eastern and deal with racism myself. This company showed dishonesty, disrespect, and zero professionalism. Based on my experience, I do not trust them, and I would not recommend their services to anyone.

One of the reasons we chose them was because they are Unilock certified, which was extremely important to us for warranty purposes. The majority of our project involved extensive Unilock pavers off the back of our home and surrounding the new pool, and their craftsmanship is absolutely outstanding. At the beginning, we had a clear plan, but as with any large construction project, things changed along the way. Jimenez and Sons handled every change quickly, professionally, and without ever falling behind schedule. They made on-the-fly adjustments to retaining walls, pool equipment locations, and even the water features--all without a single complaint. Their work ethic is unmatched. They were on-site at 7 AM every day, stayed until dark, and even worked Saturdays, something you don't see from many contractors today. This is clearly a family-run business, and they treat you like part of that family. They work on your home as if it were their own. Even the father, who started this business many years ago with just a shovel and a wheelbarrow, was there from start to finish. His passion for the craft still shines through. And I have to highlight Rene Jimenez specifically--he is truly the best. Rene is not only extremely knowledgeable, but also an all-around great person: honest, easy to work with, and patient. They moved and replanted trees to improve the view, added multiple new trees and shrubs, and placed everything perfectly to enhance beauty while blocking unwanted sightlines. Unfortunately, the installation completely failed to meet that standard, and the customer service follow-up was non-existent. The discharge point they installed sits in a depression, meaning the water constantly overflows and sheets directly across the public sidewalk instead of draining properly. This created a slip hazard and left a permanent puddle in the yard. Because the water was left to sit stagnant, my grass is now dying and turning orange from iron bacteria. When I reached out to Daniel with photos of the flooding, he told me to 'wait 10 days' for the ground to drain. I waited the full timeframe, but the problem persisted. I reached out multiple times afterward to get a plan together to fix the grading or extend the line. Daniel completely stopped responding and abandoned the project. I am now having to hire a second landscaping company to fix the problem.
