Since he retired, Dr. Brian Barron has taken over ownership of the clinic. I have found their vets. to be superior in all aspects of their care. Knowledge of current state and treatment of acute animal illnesses, as well as management of chronic conditions, e.g. My senior dog had severe arthritis in her spine. Dr. Barron, my vet, recommended weekly laser treatments to her back to reduce pain and inflammation. She responded very positively to the treatments. Dr. Barron heads the clinic, & has 2 Associate veterinarians that work with him. They are thorough in their examination of your pets, kind & considerate, explain steps of the treatment plan to you clearly, are not rushed when they are examining your pet, & honest in their responses to your questions. Office staff are polite, friendly, professional, and efficient. They clinic moved to its current location late last year. The new clinic on Kanis Rd is bigger & more spacious than previous location. Has a large waiting room for patients, has more exam rooms, and plenty of free parking. Clinic offers boarding and grooming. It may cost slightly more than other clinics, but the confidence and trust you feel in the care of your pet is worth the expense

Everyone needs to know to NOT board your pets there because they leave them unfed, unwatered, and unlooked in on for almost 48 hours between noon on Sat and 7:30 on Monday. If that isn't negligence I don't know what is. The worst thing, they aren't going to tell you this before you leave your pets there. If I could give them a negative rating I would.

Over the years I've had the dubious honor of going to a lot of different vets. A lot…read more So, when I say that Briarwood is the best animal hospital/vet clinic I've ever been to, not only is that out of a big sample size, but it's the highest praise I could give. Briarwood's folks were prompt and wonderful on the phone. They knew exactly what offerings they had, their schedule, prices, with no hesitation over the phone. They were willing to take in both of our dogs and a stray (THREE dogs) in one appointment, and that appointment was a masterclass in caring efficiency. Taking care of three dogs at once is impressive, but doing it with care and making sure each one gets the individual attention they need is unheard of. Not only did we get thorough checkups and necessary shots for everyone, but since they're a groomer too they threw in things like nail trimming (much needed for my old, slow dogs) just as part of the appointment. That alone was huge. I was particularly shocked when a little less than a week after our appointment, the vet we saw called to follow up and see how the stray was doing (he'd been malnourished and weak when we brought him in) which was above-and-beyond, and exactly the kind of thing I look for when trying to find someone to look after my furry friends. Seriously, I could not recommend Briarwood more!

The Drs. are not only thoughtful, compassionate, and incredibly attentive, but extremely knowledgeable and truly exceptional at what they do. They truly go above and beyond, not only in the care they provide, but also in the way they explain things and answer questions. I know that with their staff, he is in the best hands! Dr. Rene took excellent care of Eeyore during his surgery and recovery is going very well. Dr Lowry was patient and kind when answering questions about his aftercare instructions. The ENTIRE staff is amazing, kind and considerate. They gave me comfort in a stressful time, and I will always be grateful to the Drs. and staff here.

The previous owner, Dr. Laura, was like family. Well, I can honestly say that Pinnacle Valley Westrock Animal Hospital is still the best for me and my family. While I have seen a number of veterinarians there, Dr. Sonya is my dogs PCP. She is the best. She knows her stuff, but more importantly, she loves animals. The love at Pinnacle Valley shows throughout the place. It isn't just Dr. Sonya but the entire staff there is firing on all cylinders. They are really kind people. You know when someone is an animal lover. It is a calling. That is definitely true of Dr. Sonya. The kindness Dr. Sonya and her staff have shown me in recent weeks while we were dealing with a dearly loved pet with a terminal illness was so appreciated and so meaningful to us, I cannot adequately describe how much it meant to my family and to me personally. I can't imagine taking my pets anywhere else. I just can't say enough good things about Pinnacle Valley Westrock Animal Hospital. If you are needing a new vet home for your furry family members, you owe it to youself and your pets to check them out. You'll be glad you did.

Over the last few months, my dog had several infections from the original surgery, and my vet determined that his body was rejecting the implanted plate. We tried several rounds of antibiotics to no avail. I finally arranged for Dr. Fields to see him to evaluate him and remove the plate and screws. Today, I dropped him off for this surgery, and it was truly a day filled with concern for my dog and compassion and graciously generosity for the work they did, how the kept me updated throughout the day, and just overall how they treated me and my pup. I am forever grateful. I know there were some new people, but the staff that worked with me previously came out to greet me and welcome me, and they were INCREDIBLE. One came out to share how her dog had gone through the same and gave me tremendous hope that my boy will be running again in a few weeks without the pain he's struggled with for months. I hope I don't need their surgery services again, but if I do, and am confident I will feel good about returning.

My 4-1/2 year old English Mastiff, Xena, was treated by this clinic, specifically by Dr Matthew…read moreField, for surgery treatment on my sweet girl for cancer. I will say information was given, along with pricing of each portion of her surgery. Dr Field 's assistant called me during Xena's surgery to provide information and my instructions to continue for a stated price. I was actually shocked and frankly, appalled that my dog was simply lying on a surgery table, and care was withheld until money was discussed. WTF! After I greenlighted further care, my poor baby was treated and placed in recovery. As she remained w them for over a week and a half in the hospital, I was at least able to see her briefly several times a day. She was not eating, so they allowed me to bring her cooked chicken livers w rice. When Xena was finally able to come home, she went downhill quickly. Even though I called Dr Field's assistant and advised she was feeling terrible, and I wanted to bring her back to the hospital so she could be seen by a doctor, I was told she was just feeling bad from surgery. I called 3x expressing my concerns, but was told to keep her home. That final day, I placed a call again and advised Xena was urinating straight blood, I was told to bring her in. When I arrived and placed her in the care of the ER portion of this clinic, I gave my sweet girl a kiss and held her head up, placing my forehead on hers and told her I would see her soon. I never saw her again after that. This greedy and unsympathetic clinic actually withheld emergency treatment until the billing employee was able to reach my husband, as he had my bank card. They demanded $1500 down-payment before providing my baby any sort of treatment. I received a call from the clinic within 2 hours time advising me my poor deathly ill baby had a huge seizure in a cold and bare cage. The ER doctor advised she vomited a large amount of blood before going into cardiac arrest. The ER doctor contacted me, as they were trying to revive her via CPR, to see if I wanted them to continue trying to revive her. WTF! The description given by the attending doctor was horrifying. I stopped CPR treatment as I knew my baby was too far gone. Later, I was advised she had been bleeding internally since being released from the hospital. WHY DID THEY NOT LISTEN WHEN CONTACTED BY ME! I had Xena cremated, and when I picked up her ashes, Dr Field's assistant came out to my vehicle to apologize for not listening to my earlier concerns upon bringing her home. HOW DARE SHE! I was so broken at that moment, I had no reply. Well, NOW, I have plenty to say. After spending close to $15,000, (yes, that much) for this horrifying and gut-wretching service, I can honestly say that I wholeheartedly recommend NEVER GO HERE FOR QUALITY CARE if you love your animals. If I could do it over again, I would rather have euthanized my sweet girl immediately after her cancer diagnosis. I will NEVER forgive or understand how in the hell can those employees sleep at night knowing THEY WITHHELD EMERGENCY TREATMENT UNTIL PAYMENT WAS RECEIVED. My poor baby was just shoved to the side EVEN AS SHE SAT THERE DYING IN FRONT OF THEM. I hope everyone of those greedy heartless people rot in hell. NEVER GO HERE IF YOU LOVE YOUR ANIMALS.
