His game plan was to…read morefigure out the perfect dinner spot where we could catch an epic Sanibel sunset, then still have enough time to roll over for a hallmark view of the July 4th fireworks. Mission accomplished. Lighthouse Waterfront is huge with a big dining rm on one side and another section closer to the left overlooking the outdoor deck sitting right on the water. If you're chasing sunset vibes, this deck is where it's at. We started with a dozen meaty oysters and a hot crab dip with crispy wontons to dip. For our main plates, hubs ordered the thick-cut bone-in pork chop and loved it while I went with the seasoned grilled swordfish. I had the Dubai Chocolate cocktail and I'll give them props for that pistachio rim and the dark chocolate drizzle.....that Hershey's syrup crap. The only downside was it could've packed a punch. But then again- between my recent trip to Miami/Ft Lauderdale and now Sanibel...I haven't had a drink that would know the shit out me here. No offense. Anyhow, to wrap things up, we shared a slice of key lime pie. That's basically mandatory when you're down here. It was good, but honestly, the real treat was watching that Sanibel sunset. Service was ok- I just wished our young server was more present. On the plus side, when he'd showed up, he made sure to help at any given moment. We finished dinner, headed out to the deck and soaked in every second of the sunset before making our way to catch the fireworks elsewhere.

Where to start. 1)Our servers were amazing. 2) Drinks - pathetic. $16.00 for a lime martini that tasted like a melted popsicle and was a total of 6 oz. Tasted no alcohol. 3) crab dip a 3 inch skillet of carb dip with 10 small pita chips. No taste at all and $19.00. 4) shrimp with garlic and butter over linguini - it was basically pho soup. $28.00. 5) and the best of all. Lobster Mac n cheese. It was macaroni with (I kid you not) seafood bisque over top and a small ramekin of Parmesan cheese $50.00. The man playing music (nice island vibe) in the corner was so loud I could not hear my husband across the table. In fact most asked to move to the other side but it was closed off or outside because it was so loud. Did I mention it was 95 degrees. 5 or so parties were seated after us, and while we were not at all in a hurry, every one of them received their meals prior to us and left before we received our food. Our server felt bad so she offered us some bread for the extra wait. (Shouldn't that be standard). We didn't complain and paid the over $150.00 bill plus a nice tip and the 3% charge for using a card. No manager came to ask how the meal was and at this point we were over it. Asked for a take home box and left. I can also tell you the menu was extremely limited. No crab dishes, no scallop dishes? A seafood restaurant not anymore? What happened? New management, owners? And yes we've been there since IAN so can't blame the hurricane. We will only visit Lobster Lady from now on. I sound like I just want to complain but I don't. I know it's off season and don't ever expect perfection. This was worse than horrible. Beware. It's not what it once was. Sadly! Sorry no pictures mostly out of shock but the water feature that used to be so picturesque outside was green algae.

We split our time between…read moreCleveland, Ohio and Fort Myers, and this place has become one of our favorite spots whenever we're in town. What makes Mango Rita's so special is the incredible lineup of tribute bands they bring in every week. If you grew up on the music of the 70s, 80s, and 90s like we did, this place is a dream. We've seen amazing tributes to bands like KISS, Duran Duran, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, Mötley Crüe and more--and the quality of the bands is outstanding. In fact, the shows are so good that we sometimes plan our trips to Fort Myers around which bands are playing! Beyond the music, the atmosphere is fantastic and the crowd always seems to be having a great time. It's one of those places where everyone is there to enjoy the music and have fun. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners, J.J. and her husband, and hearing their story. They previously owned one of the largest nightclubs on the East Coast in Maryland before bringing their passion for live music to Fort Myers Beach. After Hurricane Ian destroyed their original location, they rebuilt their vision further inland--and we're so glad they did. They're a wonderful couple and you can tell how much heart they put into this place. If you love live music, especially classic rock and iconic bands, Mango Rita's Rhythm Room is an absolute must-visit. We look forward to every show and can't wait for many more nights of great music there!

(kinda on the smaller side) i did end up getting a second one ($15 each). For apps we got the tuna cervichi and flatbread. (I do not eat raw tuna, so I have no option on that dish. But the rest of the table ate it up) The flat bread was great too. It had black olives, figs, tomatoes and lots of cheese. For dinner we each ordered something different. I got the crab cake stuffed Salmon with seasoned spinach and mashed topped with, what i think the waitress said was lobster sauce.. altho my friend that got the seafood risotto was supposed to have the same sauce on top but hers was a much more red color. The risotto was another great dish. It had scallops, big shrimps and muscles in it. Cooked perfectly. My friend had the Sicilian Penne. He said: It was a delicious pasta dish with sausage and cannellini beans. The Gorgonzola cheese was an amazing addition that really took the dish to the next level. Our server Sydney was great. She let us know they were short staffed some wait ataff and she may have been backed up (there was probably 6 tables in there at the time idk.. where I waitress i have a 12 table station, and its fast paced..) but she still a great job. The restaurant its self love nice after the renovations, but inqoukdnhave never known it was a finer dining place rather then a typical breakfast diner from the outside of it. Ill be back! There were other things on the menu I'd like to try. (Please, dont mind the photos, we were all just so excited to dig in i didn't remember to take pics till we were 1/4 of the way into eating)

Food came out fast-. The only thing I didn't love was I felt the bowl of soup serving was really light. I had filled up on the homemade bread and could only eat about a third of the bowl. When we packed the rest to come home for dinner it wasn't even 3/4 full in the ~estimated~ 1 cup to go container. The soup bowl was very shallow. I think the serving could have been heartier. Reservations likely needed. We were there on a mid weekday and it was pretty packed. It was a drive for us but we will be back.

Our server was ok and in general the service was good, maybe can improve a little on the timing and explanations provided but more than anything it was a little hard to get the attention of our server sometimes. We went for brunch and there were good options and food was average... the highlights of the meal were: The Sourdough bread with honey butter and preserves and the outdoor bar with delicious cocktails and the best bartender (Jackson). The farm part is also fun but is very small only a few animals. It's cool you can buy drinks and walk with them while you enjoy the farm. It was a fun activity to do on our vacation but if we want to do it again we might try to go for lunch or another farm with similar option.
