Found this on the internet yesterday…read more Sad and tragic news regarding Tom. ----- Obituary for Thomas P. Jones V November 29, 1987-August 18, 2022 Thomas P. Jones V has sadly passed away on the evening of August 18, 2022, as a result of a motorcycle accident. He died doing something he truly enjoyed. Thomas graduated from South Glens Falls in 2006 and continued on to get an Associate's degree from ACC. After graduating from ACC, he worked at Trustco bank in South Glens Falls for a short time until he realized that he had to follow his dreams. Five years ago, he decided he wanted to open his own business and that is when Devocean Watersports was born. He managed to put together a great team of employees that helped him with boat charters and jet-ski tours on Lake George, out of the hotel "Twin Birches." Thomas loved his business and put everything he had into it. His smile and enthusiasm was infectious to everyone he met along his journey in life. He really enjoyed teaching people how to do things that was out of their norm. Thomas also made many friends down in Marathon within the keys were he went every winter, enjoying life to the fullest. He was predeceased by his father Thomas P. Jones IV. Thomas is survived by his mother Denise Jones, his brother Patrick Jones, his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bowen and two uncles Christopher and Bob Bowen. Family and friends may call from 10 am to 12 noon on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Regan Denny Stafford Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Rd., Queensbury, NY. Burial will follow at Pine View Cemetery, Queensbury, NY. A celebration of Thomas' life will continue at the Highland Country Club immediately following the burial. Please no suits, wear flip flops and don't forget to bring stickers. https://www.sbfuneralhome.com/obituaries/Thomas-Jones-123/#!/Obituary ------ Tom, May You Rest In Eternal Peace. I always, and I mean ALWAYS, had a great time jet skiing with you every summer since you opened your business in 2017. My most sincere condolences to your family and friends. Until we meet again...

If you are looking to watch someone fish for 4 hours, then this is the charter for you!…read more When we first boarded the boat we were instructed to take a seat, JJ took us to the fishing spot and started to set up (at this point apart from telling us to sit down he had not spoken to us, just drove boat and ate his fruit) After a few mins we all got up (myself, husband and 2 teenagers) to join JJ at the fishing rods, we were told to sit back down. This is where we sat for 4 hours!!! We were only allowed to get up to reel in a fish and take a picture taken. 1 person get up whilst the other 3 stayed seated. My daughter LOVES fishing, has been on many fishing charters, fished in many different countries, on lakes, rivers, sea. She was VERY excited about this charter, it was the highlight of her trip, she left her seat TWICE!!! My husband asked if we could participate more (net in fish etc) to which JJ replied "No, I have been doing this 26 years, I do not teach' JJ ran around for 4 hours, manning 4 rods, muttering things as he ran past us to change lures, muttering as he looked out at the lake so we could not hear him. After 2 hours both teenagers were so bored they started looking at their phones (by this point both kids had only left their seat 1 time each) In 4 hours, my son only left his seat 3 times (total of maybe 3-4 minutes) My daughter left her seat twice (total of 2-3 minutes) my husband twice and I did not leave my seat at all. We caught 5 fish in total (4 too small to keep) how many fish we caught was irrelevant to us; we wanted a family fishing trip! not a sit down and watch someone else fish. When my husband tried to talk to JJ when we were back at the dock JJ was aggressive and blamed us for not being interested!!! Would NOT recommend this charter!!!

We were super new to owning a boat. Although I'd driven many, I'd never been an owner, but this…read moresummer my wife and I decided that it was the summer to look into ownership and take advantage of all that Lake George had to offer. We went to many private owners and dealerships that sold old and new boats in the Lake George area, but when we entered Yankee Boating, being greeted by Brian MacDuff (Sales Manager), right away we felt like VIPs and Brian's attention to detail and to our needs as new boat owners was just incredible. What's more amazing is that, although we ended up purchasing a used boat from Yankee, Brian never let up on his attention to detail and personal touch, and made sure we left Yankee with an amazing 2014 Monetary 204 FS. This has been an incredible experience that I know we would not have found anywhere else. It doesn't stop there; the entire team at Yankee Boating continued our amazing experience. Whether it was Kate in service preparing our boat to be in tip top shape, or Nino at the Yankee Marina who went above and beyond to assist us in a moment of need, each part of the Yankee family provided us with an experience second to none. The bottom line is that Yankee has proven to be, without a doubt, the total boating experience. If you are in the market for a new or used boat, definitely go to Yankee. Don't even bother with the other shops; I promise you that you won't get the experience and quality that Yankee Boating has to offer. Yankee Boating, in particular Brian McDuff, earned a customer for life.
