I was looking for a way to get to Valle Nevado for a day of snowboarding and loved the fact that…read moreSki Total not only offered bus rides up to the slopes, but also handled the equipment rental. I arrived early at 7am to buy my ticket and rent my gear. The snowboarding gear they rented was horrible, so if you're looking for more premium stuff, you'd be better off renting directly on the mountain at the ski shop. On the plus, they did rent pants and a jacket, which in my experience is outside of the standard ski/snowboard rental options. There was a really long line to buy the bus ticket and they only had 1 (sometimes 2) employees handling the exchange. By the time it was all said and done, I met my group at the mountaintop close to noon. What I did like about Ski Total is the buses. I got a comfortable seat by the window and the bus wasn't large, but just big enough to fit about 12-15 people. The ride up was fine, but on the ride down, I got terrible altitude sickness (not Ski Total's fault!). Next time I'd take some aspirin as the ride down can be pretty brutal with all the slow, jerky twists and turns down the mountain. I would use Ski Total again, but only if I had my own gear and had a bus ticket in advance so I could leave on the earliest ride out.

Super expensive, and the service wasn't very good…read more Used this company to shuttle us from Santiago up to Valle Nevado and for equipment rentals. I had emailed them back and forth a few times to arrange for the hotel pickup. They were semi responsive and answered my questions as best as they could. They picked us up at the hotel on day of around 7am, then took us to their shop, and we paid for and were given slips for our equipment rental. The snowboard selection was slim pickings and were super old terrible snowboards. There was only 1 that was the length I needed, and it had deep gouges on the board, never been sharpened or waxed. The guy at the rental shop gave me major attitude for asking them to wax the board and adjust the bindings for me. The boots were all falling apart and smelled like dead fish rotting for a century. It was really disgusting. The quality was just lowest of the low. Since I had very little choice, I went with whatever and just make the best out of it. Our bus up the mountain was suppose to leave at 8am, it did not leave until 8:30. We sat there waiting and waiting for a half an hour. Due to us being late getting on the road, we hit traffic and didn't get to the resort until 10:30am. The same bus picked us up at 5pm the same afternoon and brought as back. Then we had to wait for another bus to take us back to the hotel. The crappy snowboard rental was $43usd for the day, snowboard and boots, and the RT shuttle from hotel to Valle Nevado was als $44usd. It's really quite pricey for what you get. Service is slow and not very good.

Once again, I had a blast at this store. I didn't realize that Decathlon is the largest sports…read morestore in the world, since we don't have any in the US, ut I thoroughly enjoyed exploring this store. We stopped by to pick up some fun things for my kids to play with. The frisbee section is in the very back corner of the store, next to some other random fun things like soft boomerangs and bow and arrows for kids. We snagged these really fun and very sturdy bow and arrow sets with suction ends that were a huge hit (with metal rods instead of plastic), plus a big soft frisbee that is also great because it can't hurt you when it hits you in the face. My son picked out a small basketball and my other son picked out a soccer ball. We also picked up kids water shoes and athletic shoes, single wall stainless steel water bottles, and sturdy backpacks for school. Everything was beyond reasonably priced, the sneakers were on clearance, and the quality of what we picked up is better than anything I've ordered off amazon. Everything was the store brand. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and we took our time trying on shoes, as well as trying out frisbees and balls (to my children's delight). Their selection of rollerblades is incredibly complex, and their scooters seem very well made and reasonable. We also tried out the skateboards. In effect, once again, I wanted it all! Thank goodness for luggage weight restrictions LOL
