One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Served with a choice of either fries or chunky wedges (think roast potato wedges and you'll get the idea). The cafe makes its own hot sauces and strawberry jams, all of which you should try if you get a chance as they're all scrumptious. You can even buy jars of the sauces to take home. Service is warm & friendly and you're made to feel incredibly welcome the second you walk in the door to the moment you leave. It's situated in a leafy picnic area, next to the South Somerset tourist information centre. The airy cabin-like cafe has WiFi, good toilets, and there is an outdoor eating area as well, though it can get very busy. Staff are down to earth and friendly (it's popular with truckers, as well as families). The very traditional menu comprises all-day breakfasts, mixed grills, burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, omelettes, jacket potatoes and (of course) chips; and traditional puddings for dessert. There's quite an extensive vegetarian menu as well. It offers a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including proper mugs of tea. Prices are very reasonable - mains run from £6.50 up to a steak dinner at £10.95.
