During my consultation Dr. Marilou patiently discussed all of my questions and addressed my concerns. She made me feel comfortable and reviewed how she would address each issue. At the end of the consultation, she told me that, since cauterization would be very painful, I should try a home treatment first. She carefully wrote every step and included the prescription too. The doctors and staff have been kind to me, this is a review mainly for my experience during the Glycolic Peel. I just wanted a facial to soothe some redness and also get a cleaning done. Mind you, I've done cleanings here in the U.S. so I know what they feel like and I've also done them at Belo Clinics before. Anyway, I got a Glycolic Peel and the peel portion was fine and painless but damn the cleaning hurt so bad! OMG! It was torture! I swear I would have thought the esthetician hated me! I know there's usually that blackhead remover tool they use but it felt like she was following it up with a needle poke in each pore! it was HELL! I was literally crying my makeup off and I don't know why she didn't stop or try to adjust to make it less painful. It was the worst hour of my life and vacation LOL. On top of the pain, because she poked my pores with a needle or whatever she was using, my skin looked like shit the rest of my vacation! My nose had red blood dots from the needle and my nose ended up looking like a strawberry. The worst! It finally only healed now since I'm back in the states. On top of that, I was prescribed a cream to soothe the redness and they charged me 1600 PHP ($31) for Bioderma Brand and when I got home to the U.S. I found out that it's a cheap brand that they sell at Walmart and Walgreens for only $11 -___- Yeah, definitely not a pleasant experience. It felt like elastic bands snapping on my face over and over again for 20 minutes and I was concerned after it started and asked again 100% it's ok, as I saw my skin was getting red and they said yes 100% as some people have this daily and the redness goes in 5-10 minutes. When I finished I had broken capillaries all over my face. They have taken zero accountability about helping fix the problem. They had so many excuses too. Basically they do not know their equipment. The person seeing you before the treatment is NOT a doctor yet claims to know your skin. Even the doctors don't know their machines properly as I saw 2 doctors in their clinic after my experience and they both said different things, only one agreed this machine is not for sensitive skin, yet it was too late as I asked to see them after I saw the damage to my skin, and still she just said "sorry there's nothing we can do." Basically we scarred you and now you have to live with it. This is an operations and values problem as their process is so bad and they don't actually hold accountability for any problems, they just don't care. They charge a lot, try to sell you as many expensive treatments as possible and don't care about you when something goes wrong. Please BEWARE before going to this clinic. I wish I could go back and undo my experience but I can't and I'm left with red capillaries covering my face where the device was placed. I shared to their operations team in depth my experience with before and after photos, and that I think it's run poorly and they should think again about their procedure, and in fairness the girl I spoke to on the phone 'sounded kind, and friendly', yet still they chose to do nothing. When the management has bad values (caring about profit and not the customer), this will never be an experience you can trust. Horrible experience at this place and I wish this on no one!
