Extremely disappointing and completely lacking in compassion…read more Our Jeep tour was canceled because I was experiencing a genuine medical emergency that ultimately required emergency surgery. My sister called Red Rock Jeep Company twice--first when I was in Urgent Care and again when I was in the emergency room awaiting surgery. Their employee told her, "No problem, just let us know," and during the second call explicitly said he would cancel our reservation and send it to accounting "for a refund." At no point did he mention a 24-hour cancellation policy. When I later followed up, we were given the runaround and ultimately told that the company would keep our $350+ payment because of their cancellation policy. I even offered to provide documentation of my emergency hospitalization and surgery. They still refused. We didn't simply change our minds or fail to show up. We notified them immediately, explained the emergency, and followed exactly what their employee told us to do. I understand businesses have policies. But there should also be basic human compassion when a customer is facing an unexpected medical emergency. This was supposed to be a special sisters' trip. Instead, Red Rock Jeep Company showed us exactly how they treat customers when circumstances don't fit neatly into their policy. They chose the policy over compassion, refused to honor what their employee told us, and kept our money. I cannot recommend this company and would strongly encourage anyone booking with them to understand that, apparently, even a documented medical emergency may not warrant the slightest consideration.
