Lost my cat on the morning of Jun 7, even though it was very early in the morning I talked to Eddie on the phone who spoke to me calmly, clearly and softly. Dropped my baby off, was given a clipboard where I could make clear requests and even though it wasn't written I asked to get a clay stamp of a certain paw, which he remembered and I received a beautiful imprint in clay. I can say, though there's a lot of heartbreak right now, it was a shining light with how Eddie and the ladies who work here handled it. Not as a business transaction, but as people- who know what you're going through. We were in town visiting family when my senior fur baby, Sprout, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away Saturday while we were not around. I began searching on Google to see where we could have him cremated and saw Honor My Pet as an option as they had great reviews. I was an emotional wreck and still in a state of shock, however Eddie answered the phone and had a very calming and caring voice. He picked Sprout's body up a couple of hours after I had called him. I wish I could say that everything went smoothly from that point forward, however it did not. I had marked on the form that I wanted 2 pieces of jewelry and the jewelry process was poorly explained to us. Instead of following up and asking which jewelry we wanted, it just was not done. When I asked why, I was told because I had not paid for it....even though it was marked on the invoice. Like most people are, I was still very shaken up and once I marked what I wanted, I handed over my card to pay assuming the correct amount would charged. I expressed that I was upset and they were kind enough to offer one piece of jewelry for free however they had already left the office for the day and said they would send me a picture of the jewelry they had in stock. I did receive a picture of the jewelry they had but unfortunately they did not have two of the ones I wanted from the selection so I opted for just 1 necklace instead of 2. Ok, I thought, I can just find jewelry elsewhere and have it customized the way I want it. Inconvenient, yes, but fixable. My husband drove today from TN to GA and back to pick up Sprout's ashes and memorial items. I was going through everything and I noticed the clipping of his fur was nowhere to be found, which is MUCH worse than the jewelry mishap. I reached out to them and they looked into it. Eddie says he must have missed it on the paperwork. You only get ONE chance to collect these things before cremation starts. I had a plan on what I wanted to do with his fur. I am SO upset. As much as I enjoy supporting family owned businesses, there were one too many mistakes and I cannot trust that they would not make mistakes again. A refund for services has been offered and I have accepted, however NO amount of money in the WORLD will right this wrong or take away the stress on top of the grief. I will say they are very nice people but that unfortunately doesn't excuse missing very important items on an invoice with something as permanent as cremation read more

My regular vet is a mobile vet, and he recommended this crematory. They both provided me with same day service over the week-end, and Honor My Pet was extremely compassionate (as others have said). They are also not trying to gouge people when they are in a lot of pain. The combined fee was over $400 less than what another crematory quoted me. My baby was returned to me just two days later in a beautiful wood-carved urn. They went out of their way to bring her home when work prevented me from picking up her remains. Eddie is incredible! He showed great empathy to our loss of our beloved cat, Hannah. He even delivered Hannah's ash to our home in Cumming and it's a long drive, and refused additional pay that we were very happy to pay. The cremation place is homelike with warming decorations and he talked to me about my loss, showing great empathy. My sweet dog Chelsea passed away on Saturday evening around 7pm at the home of a friend (I was traveling). My friend contacted David, who was extremely kind and compassionate, and he arrived by 9:15pm to pick up Chelsea. My friend couldn't say enough nice things about the entire experience. She asked David to hold off on cremation until our family had a chance to see Chelsea upon our return to Atlanta. On Monday afternoon, we met Debbie, Eddie's wife, and we were able to see Chelsea one last time. She gave us a clay paw print and she plans to deliver Chelsea's ashes to our house later this week. She listened to me compassionately while I sobbed like a lunatic and explained the situation.
