Great little place for Chinese medical treatment and herbal medicines. Very simple facilities perhaps that could be updated but still a good place although I did find quite expensive.
The doctor (Ms Ming Hui Lou?) is very helpful with her explanations and actually helped me get back to health after me being very, very ill for several years and unable to function normal and with a lot of pain daily, without much clarity or help from modern medicine. She explained that I had circulatory and kidneys problems. I got multiple herbs (monthly supply), cupping and acupuncture - which totalled £150 which I found rather expensive. I had expected no more than half of that price but most of the cost was for the herbs. However, after each cupping treatment I felt fantastic and painfree (at least for some hours) after being ill for so long. Cupping increases circulation. I went twice weekly asking for cupping until they refused to give more treatments (!) because increasing the circulation also increases toxins moving around in the body that need to be extracted first through the use of the herbs, which I had somewhat neglected to use due to the cost.
I also love that it's run by women, which feels more comfortable. I did ask why it was so expensive, especially the meds, and they explained that there is a big difference in the quality of herbs used in Chinese medicine, where many suppliers don't have the actual ingredients labeled so they opt to buy from very high-quality, verified suppliers and this makes it more expensive. Could be true.
I started making efforts to increase circulation, detoxify the blood and add a kidney friendly diet. My GP denied that I had any kidney problems at the time, but 1.5 years later after I insisted on multiple tests they indeed confirmed I had reduced kidney function. Three years later I am now about 70% cured! It's all due to this little clinic and their help to give me clarity what exactly was happening, which any other diagnosis and treatment had failed. read more
