Very unassuming restaurant. Clean and simple. I've always had this impression that Chinese food is always too salty and oily... it definitely was not the case here.
We ordered the Wonton Noodle soup and a plate of Siew Mai. Along with an Iced Lemon tea and coke no sugar. The overall price was reasonable at just under NZD$30.
The soup was clear with a very natural taste of the vegetables and wonton. The noodles were a thin light yellow noodle - almost like mee suah. The wontons were very tasty. It is not like the typical wonton noodle soup, yet it was very tasty.
The siew mai was a good size each with lots of shrimp. It wasn't hard but instead was of the right texture that melts in the mouth.
We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Then again we were the only customers at that time as it was early in the morning. As we were leaving more folks started arriving.
In all the service was prompt and good. read more
