Super cute spot! We were stopping through Little Rock on our road trip and looked up dishes the city is known for: possum pie appeared on our list. We found Honey Pies which had a perfect mini pie which we could split and try! read more

Honey Pies - Possum Pie - Bakeries Near Me - Little Rock, Arkansas

I'm not a pie person, but I had to try possum pie! And when I saw I could get four mini pies for $24, there were a few I wanted to try. In order of favorite to least favorite - possum, fudge brownie, key lime, and banana cream. I also got a double strawberry (strawberry cake and strawberry icing) cupcake. They were all pretty good, but the possum pie was the obvious standout. I also loved how they were packaged so neatly. read more

I don't know where to start, I am a baker and therefore a bit judgy about other bakers. Everything I had from here was superb. I had the self care box which came with two cookies, two petite fours and a cupcake, all superb! Also, we're visiting here in the south, so trying different possum pies. This place, by far, has the best! I wish I would have had more, but I just had the mini pie :( Loved everything about this place! read more

Honey Pies - a woman sitting at a table holding a box of doughnuts - Bakeries Near Me - Little Rock, Arkansas

I really like this cute little place. I've been a few times lately to meet for coffee. They have updated it and have a lot more sweets and options. I got the cappuccino which was so good, I got a second to go. They have Blue Cake Co petit fours which were delicious and the cookies are good too. I love that they have a corner with games for kiddos to keep my little one busy. It's not ever super busy when I go so I hope they stay around. It's one of my favorites for a coffee date or a sweet treat. They have free wi-fi too! read more

What a quaint treasure! Mom flew into town today, so the hubs and I made plans to bring her along on our first trip to Honey Pies! The pies (and good Lord, that CRUST) were divine! I'm not really a pie girl, but I'm definitely rethinking that after today's visit. We tried the fudge and pecan pies, and also grabbed a caramel and mocha latte. Well done! I tasted a few Loblolly flavors as I'm already a fan and couldn't resist the urge. I love the partnership and the fact that Honey Pies is now "proudly scooping!" Mom got a 2 for 1 in getting her first taste of Loblolly on this trip to HP! Based on my journey to the restroom, it looks as though they're expanding next door. I can wait to return and see what they've done with the place! read more

If you have not been here you're missing out. Everything is delicious. The owner truly care about their business and customers. Staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. If you come here once, you'll be back again and maybe again and again. I love supporting small businesses and this one is one of the best! I'm very glad that they care bout their safety and safety of anyone who enters their little place. I'm glad they require masks in the pandemic. I care that they care! Go try them out! read more

Easy parking. Roomy interior. Friendly staff. I went because I heard there was Possum Pie, and that's something I wanted to try while in Arkansas. I was very glad to see it was available, but if you don't want to gamble I learned that you can call the morning of your visit and reserve a specific kind of pie! Possum Pie was fabulous. It had a flaky crust which was easy to cut through, rich and creamy chocolate filling, and a gooey marshamllowy meringue like topping, ever so slightly toasted. I would love to return and try out different flavors. You can get whole pies, slices, mini pies, and there are even some savory options if you want to have an entire meal here. Love that there is a water dispenser and clean restroom facilities. Great spot to hang out over a slice. read more

I wish we had a place like this in Dallas. There are some good pie places in our hometown but not with the variety of pies and, for a gourmet pie place, at the pricing of the pies as Honey Pies. If you want cheap and commoditized pie, go to your grocery store :-)) We did a sample of the possum pie, the peanut butter pie, peach, apple, key lime, and the brownie pie (a chocolate chess pie) The fruit pies were wonderful. Good fruit flavor and good crusts. I loved the salty sweet taste of the peanut butter pie. The possum pie had good chocolate flavor and was not overly sweet, which I like. The brownie pie had a really cool texture and tang: Chewy on the outside and smooth on the inside. But the surprise of this place is how good the coffee is here. I drink my coffee black so I can immediately taste the difference. They get their beans from a local coffee roaster. One more thing: They have a GREAT eating area. There's a corner with crayons and cute pie pictures for kids to color on and even a wall for the kids to hang their picture. My youngest made me wait so she could color and hang up a picture. This would be such a great place to hang out with friends and there's plenty of space for large gatherings. I really hope Little Rock understands that they have a wonderful gem in this place. read more

Honey Pies - Apple pie and pecan pie with a side of macaroon! - Bakeries Near Me - Little Rock, Arkansas

We love a delicious pie shop, and Honey Pies is as good as we've found. This was an unplanned stop on our trip, and we usually scout places to eat far in advance. I happened to see it on a Google map near our hotel. And I'm so glad I did! We had delicious possum and key lime mini pies, and the guy behind the counter even sent a piece of fudge pie with us on the house closer to closing time. How did he know my wife loves and makes her own fudge pie at home?!? Simple but elegant decor inside as well. If we're ever back in Little Rock, we'll be visiting Honey Pies! read more

Honey Pies - Possum Mini Pie - Bakeries Near Me - Little Rock, Arkansas

This is my place to go for pies and birthday cakes. My husband loves their apple pies!

Honey pies has AMAZING pies (and cake and creme brûlée). Their espresso beverages are also amazing- they offer seasonal flavors in addition to your typical flavors- like vanilla- and almost all of their syrups are made in house. Their all butter pie crust is unbeatable, its texture and flavor are both perfect. If you want more crust, they offer mini pies. If you like pie filling more, then ask for a slice. My personal drink favorites are any of their lattes, their London fog, and their americano. For desserts, you almost can't go wrong, but my very favorites are their mini peach pies, mini apple pies, or a slice of their peanut butter, key lime, or possum pie. If you don't like pie (which is weird, but whatever), I also would recommend their Neapolitan cake, and their creme brûlée. They also have food- soups, salads, and sandwiches. I have loved their chicken pot pie soup, and their Cobb salad with house made ranch dressing. You can buy or order whole pies, and they also have take and bake options- like chicken pot pies, quiche, and sweet breads. The space is very kid friendly, and great for studying. All of the staff I've encountered are extremely nice, knowledgeable about the menu, and happy to answer questions and make recommendations. read more

Sadly disappointed. Whatever transition this business has experienced, it did not result in a good outcome. We had visited last fall and were thoroughly impressed, however today's visit was very disappointing. Bland, dry product. Coolers for cheesecake definitely not at the right temperature or humidity. The place is absolutely filthy. read more

Honeyyyyyyyyyy - y'all gonna eat everything in this place. I'm dying over the brownie pie. It was basically brownie batter blessed by the pie gods. My cinnamon roll was ahhhhmazing as well. Cute decor, plenty of seating, and smiling faces. Loved this place! read more

Poor customer service. I was so excited to buy some pies. I walked in and no one greeted me or asked if I needed help. There was a small wait when I was ready to check out, but again I felt totally ignored as there was no acknowledgement of when they'd be able to help me. I ended up just leaving without a pie. I rarely ever leave negative reviews, but I was disappointed enough by my experience that this was an exception. read more

The home made chicken noodle soup was very good on this cold day in February. The roast beef sandwich was excellent. Can't wait for the pie. Coconut pie for me and chocolate. Well, the chocolate was very good. I believe it had a marshmallow topping. Looking back, the roast beef was really good. They are very busy for a small shop. This is were Bruno's used to be. read more

Let me start by saying "I love Honey Pies." I first discovered them before they had the brick and mortar store. Back then, HPs could be found on the local food truck scene and at various festivals. The pies were sliced in generous portions and boxed for easy transport. I'm a person who will happily pay $5.00 and up for a slice of really good pie. Fast forward to the store where the slice is no more and has been replaced by the mini-pie. The mini-pies are too dry. The cherry pie mini had less than a quarter cup of filling. The fudge brownie pie - one of the signature pies - was dry and crumbly. I love your business philosophy. Please, please, PLEASE go back to sliced pie and dump the mini. read more

Honey pies is a great local business. I'm glad they have a permanent store now. I would go to food truck festivals and always get something from Honey pies. We have been here several times and the staff has always been welcoming and friendly. Today we took home one of the chocolate brownie pies. They are delicious, such a rich chocolate brownie in a wonderful crust baked to perfection. They have ice cream from a local creamery in Little Rock and it's amazing. They have a nice selection of the ice cream and they love to give you a taste. Their pies are always beautiful and the ones I have tried have been wonderful. They also have mini pies, so if you want to just try a flavor that's the way to go. They also had several cupcakes, I have not had one but they really looked good as well. read more

We were going to an afternoon cookout to watch football and the host ask us to bring a dessert, I turned to Yelp and found Honeypies. We called ahead for a tin of banana pudding and added the pecan and chocolate "Mini" pies. Huge hit! I would highly recommend and will definitely be back! read more

I called in and ordered a pre-made pink cake a day ahead with some writing. I paid and was told it would be ready by noon. I came in at 1:30 and they had no record of my order. I confirmed the number I called and the charge on my credit card. She wrote it out for me, and to be fair I said any color icing, trusting it would look nice. When she came out with blue icing on a pink cake, I said it looked like a baby cake, and that was that. She kept mentioning I must have come to the wrong location, after she confirmed it wasn't at that location either. I just wish there had been an offer to fix the writing after I expressed it didn't look nice. read more

Good pie is hard to come by now a days. I'm glad I found this place I just wish I knew about it sooner. I was lucky enough to be in the neighborhood of WLR and decided to treat myself to a delicious mouth watering chocolate brownie fudge pie. I don't know if that is the official name for it but what ever it was it was glorious. I couldn't put my fork down until every last morsel was consumed. I can't wait to go back to try something else. read more

No city is complete without a quality pie shop. Little Rock was in desperate need of a place like this. Great spot to come for a slice of pie and a cup of coffee. Top flavors sell out, so if you want to try something special come early. I had the coconut cream pie and was very satisfied. The crust was a buttery graham cracker and the filling was the right proportion of sweet. Everything looked delicious! read more

Checked this place out on a recent business trip after dinner. The person at the register was very helpful and patient in giving me the overview. At their suggestion I tried the chocolate ganache cake. I was hoping it would at least be better than what you get at a grocery store. I was blown away. This was the best chocolate cake I think I've ever had. The actual cake was light and moist and the frosting was sweet without crossing the line into cloying. The next time I'm in the area I will make a point to go back. read more

i got the slice of coconut meringue vs the mini pie as many suggested. possibly best coconut meringue pie ive had. good ratio of filling to meringue. the meringue was stellar as it definitely wasn't whipped cream and the crust was fantastic. banana pudding was a bit too sweet for my tastes and not enough banana flavor but still great HUGE HUGE dine in area. im actually shocked at how large it was JEANS: OK by far ORDER: at counter read more

When we vacation by car one of our favorite quests is a perfect piece of pie--both crust and filling must be excellent. Our expectations of Honey Pies were high based on reviews and their website. Since this place features breakfast and lunch options, we figured that the best selection would be all available early in the day. There were apple, peach, chocolate, pecan, and Keylime pies in their cases. they did not have any cinnamon rolls out; however, when I asked about them they were produced prepackaged from the back. We didn't choose them (too much icing). My husband got a spicy sausage roll and I got a sausage and cheese muffin, both of which were microwaved to warm up for eating on site, and they were the best things we ate. He had a slice of peach pie and I had a slice of the chocolate fudge pie and both were just OK. Nothing special, other than you could taste the butter in the piecrust. It seemed to me like the crust was made possibly with melted butter rather than cold butter because it was not flaky. Since it is peach season, my husband had visions of beautiful fresh peaches in luxurious juicy pie filling, but it was compact and smooth, and he said tasted of pectin. I had the chocolate fudge and it was intensely almost gaggy in richness. Perhaps too early in the day to be eating such a pie. Our French press coffee showed up at the table about the time we were done eating. It was fine. Overall, we were disappointed after having built up our expectations for this place. Restrooms were dark and toilet brushes and cleansers were on display-- lighter paint, better lighting, and a cabinet would improve this. We also wondered how this business is able to support such a large space. read more

First time to Honey Pies. Pie sampler: top meringue, possum pie, key lime pie, peach pie, brownie fudge pie (Their best selling pie.), coconut pie, pecan pie. My favorite was Key Lime pie, but in all fairness it's already my favorite pie. Second best was the brownie fudge pie which was a surprise because I don't like chocolate. We had excellent service. The attendant was very sweet, patient, and helpful when explaining our options. Even though there was a line behind us, she didn't rush us or feel flustered. It's pretty pricey, but worth the occasional splurge if you love pie. If you're taking refrigerated pies to go, you have a 2 hour time frame to get it home. read more

Just place is just one big MEH. My husband and I were so hopeful, but there really isn't anything special about this place. We ordered a brioche cinnamon roll, lemon blueberry cheesecake, strawberry bread, and peanut butter pie. It was good, but nothing special especially for their pricing. To me, the cinnamon roll was the worst of the bunch. It completely lacked flavor. So bland and gross. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a cinnabon roll- more go flavor, bigger, and moist. We thought the cheesecake would be really good, but it was just okay. The peanut butter pie was pretty good, but nothing I would go out of my way for. Honestly, we won't return. read more

Don't touch the drinking edge of my coffee cup!! Handed cup by employee who had four fingers on the rim of my cup as she handed it to me. Thumbs and fingers of both hands!! Eekkk! Stopped in yesterday because I was craving a cinnamon roll, that was a huge disappointment. We also for a slice of the chocolate fudge brownie pie and the peace pie both were delicious but honestly way overpriced. $5 for a slice?! It was good but I probably won't make my way back. Also the person working wasn't very friendly and looked so unhappy to be there. read more

We saw a PBS special on AETN Make Room For Pie recently and decided to go on a pie tour since we wanted to expand our horizons. Neither of us is a baker professionally but our interests have piqued we make cookies cakes and breads at home for our family and neighbors during the cooler seasons. I guess we caught them between the rush because at 130 in the afternoon the place was empty. Apparently possum pie is supposed to be a version of chocolate pudding pie or a French Silk. The Meringue was gritty and the chocolate tasted like canned pudding. Maybe they would do better to call it Karls roof pudding pie. (Or maybe use opossum?)The Coconut was the same. A little Coconut and a lot of pudding. Espresso was bitter and cold, like my Mother in Law. If I'm gonna get out of this review on a positive note, I will say the home made crusts are totally great and the staff were very nice and helpful. If you're going, Stay away from the icebox pies and go for the seasonal specials instead. Hopefully you'll have better luck happy eating. read more
