I just ran across my notes from a follow up I received after posting my review. I was offered a free oil change as compensation for this overcharge. I refused. The conversation promptly went into accusation mode where I was repeatedly told I was at fault for accepting their screw job. (Female representative) You pick up your car by going to the cashier and get your keys--after techs are gone for the day. You hope you have been treated fairly and honestly. Sometimes you are disappointed. In this case, the charge was over 200 bucks above the estimate. Way to go, Honda West. When there is a problem, attack the customer. read more

My 74-year-old father brought his Honda CR-V to this dealership on Friday, August 21, and Alexander Pfeil was his service advisor. My dad made it clear that he only wanted the B13 maintenance indicated on his vehicle, which includes an oil/filter change and transmission fluid service. However, additional services were recommended, including a BG Platinum Fuel System Service. He ultimately paid $686, approximately $400 of which was labor. What concerns me most, however, is what happened when Alexander suggested that my dad apply for financing through Sunbit for additional recommended services. According to my dad, Alexander asked him for his personal email address AND email password, then accessed my dad's email account using Alexander's personal phone. My dad then said he did not want to proceed with the application. Alexander became dismissive and put his phone down. When I later checked my dad's email, I found two alerts regarding an unauthorized login to his email account. At this point, we still do not know whether a Sunbit application was submitted or whether Alexander accessed or used the verification link. I called the dealership the following day and spoke with Dana and Elaine. Our complaint was forwarded to a manager, Chris, who offered a dealership credit. I explained that after this experience, particularly the handling of my father's private login credentials, we are not comfortable returning to this dealership and requested a refund instead. I was told my dad would receive a call this week from either Chris or Zach. We have not received one. Elaine also told me I could contact her at any time, but my text today has gone unanswered. I called again and was transferred to Elaine, Chris, and Zach, but each call went to voicemail. At this point, I am simply asking the dealership to provide clear answers: * Was a Sunbit application actually submitted in my father's name? * Why was an employee asking for my father's email password and accessing his email account from a personal device? * What action has the dealership taken regarding this incident? * How will the dealership resolve our refund request? The additional service charges were frustrating, but the handling of my father's personal information is by far my biggest concern. A customer, especially an elderly customer, should never leave a service appointment wondering whether someone accessed his private email or submitted a credit application without his knowledge. Based on our experience and the lack of follow-up so far, I cannot recommend this location. read more

Although buying a Honda here seems easy, what comes after is terrible. The service center is terrible. The customer service, the turn around time and their service plan in general. To get a team member to help you is like pulling teeth at this location. read more

I purchased my vehicle from here back in June, when purchasing Jose (sales rep) and Javier (finance manager) BOTH told me that they will cover the cost of the registration. I have been trying to contact Jose for months now about the registration and he has been completely ignoring me and leaving my messages on read. i have screenshots from our messages on discussing the registration and how they are covering it, his response was "yes this year they should cover it" i then sent him an email i received about how much the registration is and he says "sending it to finance to look into it" and i never heard from him again. I have called multiple times, left voicemails to Javier and Thalia about the situation and never heard anything back. despite the fact that I already had issues with them selling me a BRAND NEW car with flat spots on ALL FOUR tires and having to spend 8 hours waiting for them to replace my tires. now i have to continue to deal with getting ignored when they promised to cover it multiple times. for those purchasing vehicles from here be aware and make sure you have in writing what they promised to do for you. Update: Adam the sales manager really helped out with this issue, he apologized and reassured me that he will be able to help fix it and he did!! read more

I come here for service on my Honda and every time it takes so long and isn't done correctly. This last time they told us work was completed on our car and it was not. So we had to come back a second time to get it fixed. Such a time suck. Even with an appointment I've waited 5 hours for an oil change. They need a better system and way to regulate service appointments here. Not worth it and won't be back for the servicing department. read more

Luis Perez took care of my car when I went in to get my car serviced. He's very professional and easy to communicate with. I like the fact that he's detailed in what my car needs done before I leave for Cali. It made me feel at ease. They did a great job on my car. I also had my car appraised by Kate Agas, Sales Consultant, charming young lady and very professional. I told her that I'm thinking of trading my car in the future. She showed me some options lease or buy a new car depending on my financial status. Kate is very easy to talk to and knowledgeable in her field. When I do decide to buy a new car I will definitely come back here to buy a new car. At the moment I will still continue to have my car service here at Honda West in Sahara. read more

I warned them I had bad credit and this is how much I could put down. The car I was looking for was $16,497 2013 Lexus GS350 with 100k miles. I even got a co sign, but they didn't want to put it under my name instead. Which won't even build my credit for that. So without the co-sign they were asking more than $6k down. So I declined. Thought Honda West would help, but nah. Got a call from Ariana Motors and I told them the same thing. They were able to help me and got me a 2017 Nissan Maxima with 72k miles with a price of $13,855 and I put $3k down. Less monthly payment. Car still looks brand new. No issues. Can't wait to re-finance after 6-7 months later. BIG THANKS TO ARIANA MOTORS! BIG NO TO HONDA WEST! read more

I checked the Honda factory manual and noticed this BG Fuel Service is not a required maintenance. However, they labeled it as "Critical" with a red tag on the multi-point inspection, forcing me to feel rushed into getting it done. It feels incredibly deceptive to scare customers into paying for unnecessary, non-factory services by making them look like urgent repairs. Very disappointed with this misleading tactic. I don't often leave negative reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience. I visited this dealership after seeing a specific used vehicle listed on their website. The car was intended as a gift for my teenage daughter. I had already secured financing through my bank and spoke with a representative who advised that the vehicle was still being serviced and detailed. I was told I would receive a text once it was ready for purchase. I received that text today and arrived after work with all necessary paperwork, accompanied by my husband so one of us could drive the car home. Upon arrival, we were told the keys just needed to be retrieved so we could view the completed updates, including new tires, headlights, and a detailed interior. We were asked to wait in the lobby and grab a coffee. Shortly afterward, we were informed that another party was interested in the vehicle and that it would be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Although confused, we agreed to wait. After approximately 30 minutes, no one followed up with us, provided an update, or even acknowledged that we were still waiting. The representatives we had been speaking with were nowhere to be found. Ultimately, my husband and I left feeling dismissed and that our time had not been respected. This experience left a very poor impression, and I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I brought my 2025 Honda HR-V in for an oil change and CVT transmission fluid service. The service advisor told me the only available transmission service was a $275 flush service. When I asked whether there was a more affordable drain-and-fill option, I was told no and was also told the Las Vegas heat required this type of service. Because I felt uncomfortable with the explanation, I called another Honda dealership and was informed they offer a standard drain-and-fill CVT service for around $165. I then spoke with the service manager, who checked the system and confirmed this dealership also offers a drain-and-fill service for about $168. What frustrated me most was not just the price difference, but being told there was "only one option" when that was not true. To the manager's credit, he matched the lower pricing and even reduced the total a bit further to help resolve the situation, which I appreciated. This was especially concerning because I previously had an issue after an oil change at this dealership where the underbody splash shield came loose and fell while I was driving on the freeway. While I appreciate the manager's effort to make things right, these experiences significantly reduced my trust in the service department's transparency and workmanship. read more

I love my Honda. Although I bought it from another Honda dealership, I come to this location for oil changes because it is the closest. Unfortunately, the customer service in the service department has been very disappointing. Despite having an appointment, I waited in line for more than 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. After several employees walked by without speaking to me, I had to ask if I was in the correct lane. Even then, I was told the oil change would still take at least an hour to an hour and a half. I also noticed that several customers without appointments were helped before me, which made my appointment seem pointless. To make matters worse, I was informed that my oil change warranty had expired just three days earlier, so I had to pay $89. No one mentioned any specials or possible email offers, such as the $38.88 oil change promotion. The experience was extremely frustrating, and I will be going to a different location for better customer service. read more

Terrible customer service! My family and I walked in around 8pm and the salesperson (a tall bald man) attitude was atrocious, told us that we can Google if we have any questions. The tone was very passive aggressive and impolite. I know you wanna get off work, but making us feel rushed and unwanted is completely unprofessional. On top of that, the salesperson kept condescendingly emphasizing that there were "no discounts" and we had to "pay full price," using a tone that implied we couldn't afford it. I decided to try Honda West because it's closer to my house than Findlay Honda Henderson, where I usually take my car. I was estimated 2 hours wait and was told the next complimentary shuttle wasn't for 1 1/2 hours, so I chose to wait in the lobby. The lobby was very busy with people waiting for their cars to be serviced. The lobby felt crowded and old, even though the furniture looks newer. They have a coffee station which was broken when I first arrived. They fixed it at some point during the day but the "espresso" almost clear water. The bathrooms were dimly lit and not very clean. After 5 hours waiting, I was told my car needed almost $2,300 of repairs. I was shocked. I declined getting anything done. I took my car to Findlay Honda Henderson and ended up needing only a few repairs which totaled half of that quoted at Honda West. They also give their customers a complimentary Uber home. Needless to say, I would not return to Honda West. read more

RIPOFF ALERT! MUST-READ! Just took my Pilot in for an oil change. It was quoted online at $84.95 when I booked the appointment. I pull in for my appointment, and the first thing the tech says is the price is $140, and that price quoted online is not through Honda West, but instead through a 3rd party booking system, and there is a disclaimer that the price quotes might not be the same at the dealership. Then they send me a recommendation based on their "free 47-point inspection" that I need over $3k of work done including a timing belt change, transmission fluid service, brake fluid service, coolant service, and battery replacement." Well, I had the guy go through my service history. My Pilot has 106k miles. I had the timing belt done at 57k miles bc a tensioner was leaking. Those belts don't need changing for 90-100k miles or every 7 to 10 years. He wants me to do a $2000 service early because this dealership recommends it be done every 60k miles. This should be getting done the first time right now, not a second time. He says well we change the serpentine belt, tensioner, and water pump too. I said the serpentine belt and tensioner got done with the timing belt back at 57k. He responds, true, but not the water pump, if that goes, then you'll be looking at labor. If you get it all done now, you won't have to come back twice and pay twice the labor. LMFAO. Water pumps get replaced when they start failing, you don't replace a timing belt, drive belt, etc. just so you can get ahead of a water pump issue. And a water pump is like 500-600, not $2k. Nah bro. Next. I had my brake fluid done 1.5 years ago. Honda's own recommendation is that it's done every 3 years. He's like, well it's 3 years or 30k miles. No, it's not. Brake fluid is never a mileage thing. It's a time thing. I'm not even to the halfway point of needing that. He tries to tell me it looks dirty. No it doesn't. They don't even check the fluid like that. Nah bro. Next. I had my coolant done 2 years ago at 68k miles by them. Honda doesn't recommend coolant replacement for 5 years or 60k miles, and tbh that Honda coolant is great and lasts forever. He says, well you're close. I said, no I'm 3 years or 22k miles from that. WTF LMFAO. Nah bro. Next. I had my transmission full service done at 80k miles 15 months ago. He says it should be done every 20k miles. No it shouldn't. That is straight up this dealership's way of inflating their profits. Honda's own recommendation is over 50k miles to 100k miles depending on make and model, nowhere near 20k miles. And the last tech there said early or often transmission fluid changes have a chance to actually cause issues in the transmission. Wow, just wow. And let's not even get started about the battery. It's not even close to needing to be changed boys. So I went in expecting $84.95, and they straight up changed the price to $140. Then they tried to bs me into getting $3k worth of work done based on bogus recommendations without any accounting of the work that I've had done there recently. I purchased my car from Honda West a little over a year ago. I brought my car in for a defect repair, and it was returned with a large dent on the drivers side that was not there before. I noticed it immediately after the car was brought home. The service department at Honda West has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've had. Communication has been a major issue from the start. I made repeated calls throughout this process, multiple times, and not a single one was returned, including calls to the manager. The only way I ever got a response was by physically going into the dealership, every time. This was the case for both the original defect issue and the new damage to my vehicle. I reported the dent right away and again received no response. I had to go in person just to speak with someone. I was told it would be investigated, and surprise, I never received any follow-up. We had an appointment on June 19th for multiple recalls on my Prologue. I was met by Robert who informed me that the global updates were failing after 8 hours and that most were taking up to 3 days. When I inquired about a loaner, I was advised that none were available and that I would have to request one at the time I made the appointment. I wasn't going to leave the car with this information because I could not have a loaner at the end of the day when the first update fails. I was advised by Robert to call in and make an appointment - and to ask for loaner. I left and immediately called to schedule another appointment. My call was answered by Dave who was argumentative with the information I presented from Robert. This is our first EV, and first Honda - coming from Lexus and Genesis, this encounter was not great...but I'm used to being treated a certain way from the luxury brands. No big deal, I can get over Dave. Then I'm transferred to Robert, who says he is just learning that loaners are not being given for 8 hour software updates (even though you guys know it fails) and he will speak to the manager and get back to me. He did not. I left a message for him and then left a message with Anna. Still no call. Several days go by and I finally get a hold of Robert again - because I tracked him down. He let's me know that a loaner isn't possible. I expressed my concern with this policy. 1 - you guys know the updates are failing. 2 - A loaner can only be requested AFTER the update fails. But you have to request a loaner at the time of appointment - but one can't be requested for this service. Robert, seemly frustrated with my call out of an obviously ridiculous loop this puts your customers in, put me on hold - and then came back and said the manager said ok and I've added your paperwork to the "loaner pile" and I would be contacted when one came available. We're now coming up on 4 weeks since my original appointment. I emailed the service Manager Zachary and copied the GM Goardon almost a week ago and neither has responded. "Trust the best from Honda West" hard to take this tag line serious when the GM doesn't take service failures seriously. read more

I do NOT recommend Honda West for car service. I went in for a routine oil change on a Friday. The next day, my dashboard lit up with warnings that my brake system was failing. I brought the car back on Monday, and they said they couldn't find anything wrong. By Tuesday, the lights came back on. I returned on Wednesday, and they finally gave me a diagnosis -- saying I needed a new brake master cylinder and a brake bleed for nearly $3,000. I got a second opinion, and thank goodness I did. The mechanic found that Honda West had unplugged or turned off my brake sensors. There was nothing wrong with the master cylinder. If I hadn't trusted my gut, I would've been scammed out of thousands. Be careful! I don't recommend this place at all. read more
