So I bought my daughter a 2016 Civic here and traded in her previous car. Totally a great experience. Bought a civic for myself from another dealership due to getting a discount through my job. Had a breakdown and had it towed to Jasper Honda. Service didn't even inspect the car... just told me it was "out of gas"... even though my car said 44 miles to empty. I was told that was "just an estimate" (aka stupid female) and they put 5 gallons of gas in it & sent me on my way. Same thing happened 4-5 days later. Thankfully I was near home & didn't have it towed to the dealership. Fast forward 2 years and Honda issued a recall for my car due to a faulty engine fuel "propeller". Had recall fixed. I traded in my daughter's civic AND my civic to buy a new Honda Pilot. Tyler was my salesman and he was AWESOME! No bs, no haggling, he made it the best, easiest, and most satisfying purchase ever. So, even if you have a not so great experience with service, don't hesitate to use Tyler for a purchase. Not all of the employees are less than stellar. We drive here from Tuscaloosa county to see a used pickup. The truck was ok. The truck was ok, but it had some issues that prevented us from buying it. My 3 star review has to do with our sales person coming to talk to us without a mask. We are at the age where the Coronavirus could be fatal. So for a dealership this large to not care enough about its customers to provide masks to their employees is unacceptable Get with it. You can get bandannas for a dollar! read more

Got a recall notice on a 2022 Honda. Called to schedule & was told, "we can make an appointment but it really won't matter". We take walk ins (of course) so even IF I need to make sure I won't be there for 4 hours since I DO have a job, an appointment doesn't matter. Really?? Then why bother? So who should wait? Walk ins? Scheduled appointments? No appointment scheduled that day. Called back to TRY to find out if there is a 'better' time to walk in, drop by, hang out (sarcasm) and the call was NEVER answered in the service department. So don't bother calling the direct OR the 866 number. I did look at other reviews on this dealership. Probably wasn't a good choice to begin with so I'm going to Tameron. After having a horrible issue with another Honda service dept (Brannon) I started going to Jasper. Thought I had found some people who were honest folks that knew what they were doing. My cars issue was intermittent. Didn't produce a error code. Apparently they were stumped at the cause and couldn't diagnose an issue. They wanted to throw parts at it that I had already replaced trying to save some money. $120/hr labor costs is a bit much. I told them they could swap the parts but to hold on to mine cause when the issue happened again I wouldn't be buying their overpriced parts. I went to go drive the car to show them what it was doing and got told to hit the road, they weren't working on my car. All this after having my car in their possession for 13 days with no communication. I repeatedly had to call for updates which then were CYA responses for not working on it. read more

I had a similar experience to others, with a vehicle being sold out from under me when we had already worked out a deal and arranged for a time for me to come out and get the car. I would have gladly given a deposit over the phone to hold the car until I could get off work. Jared was absolutely amazing, so this review is in no part a reflection on him. It's just unfortunate that he lost a sale due to the unprofessionalism of his superiors and leadership. After this took place my husband called the dealership and asked to speak with the manager/owner. The person that then picked up the phone repeatedly said his name but never would identify his title, and eventually hung up on my husband after it hold them we were just trying to buy a car and make them money. Later the GM/Owner, still not actually sure who Kevin is, called back to speak with my husband, who was then in a virtual meeting for work. Kevin basically called me a liar and said "I'm sure he is in a meeting" and then hung up on me. Later that evening I received an email from Kevin back tracking and trying to apologize saying that he thought my husband was a telemarketer and that is why he hung up on him. He provided several excuses/explanations, but never actually acknowledged hanging up on me. I was actually a repeat customer to Jasper Honda, but never again. I instead drove over an hour out of my way to go to Tameron Honda in Hooverr, AL. They more than made up for the experience with their treatment and nurturing experience. read more

Honda of Jasper did a great job or service and support for me as I delt with a break down while traveling through the area on my way to Atlanta. They worked several days try to diagnose the issue with my CRV. They provided me a loaner car to complete the trip then delivered my car to me. Great people and good technical expertise. read more

My rating is for the service department. If someone makes an appointment for 9 a.m. and you are told the time for the recall to be fixed is 1 hour, you really shouldn't still be waiting 2.5 hours later. read more

Do it! Take the drive. One of my best car buying experiences in my 10 car life history! I was given a fair value on my trade in and an excellent price on my new car. There was absolutely no needless waiting, no 'let me see what my manager will do', no insults, no pressure, no unwanted add ons, no extra charges mysteriously appearing at the last minute. Like any Honda dealership, they sell a quality product. Unlike many locations, however, Jasper employs quality people who respected me, my intelligence, and my time. Big fan here! WOW what a crappy way to treat a new customer. Had been working with their sales person Ray on a used 07 GMC 3500 dually and this AM spoke to Mark Perry their GM. He wrote up a buyers order for it. The understanding was I would come by tomorrow AM to pay for truck and take it. I just got an email from Mark saying someone came in today and bought the truck. WHAT !?!?!? Have they not heard of the idea that they could have contacted me when the other person came in and asked me to give a deposit right then and there to hold it until I got there tomorrow AM? Neither Ray nor Mark said at anytime I should give them a deposit over the phone via credit card and I would have done it. What a terrible way to treat people - I was told by Mark that they treat people nicer in Jasper. Certainly not my experience! I was contacted by the owner who apologized but never did anything to make it right and so the apology is useless. read more

Home of the new air conditioning. Two years ago I took my 2016 Honda Civic in to get the air conditioner charged/serviced and I got a call back from their service department telling me I need a whole new complete air conditioner. So nearly $2000 dollars later I walked away feeling a little sore on the backside. Drove the car intermittently for two years and I have 82k in the car so at the time I was needing tires and brakes also the air conditioner was back blowing warm air so I take it in and let them know that I need tires and check the brakes and charge the air conditioner. I got a call back a day later and I'm told that the air conditioner needs replaced totally again. I hit the roof cause if this is as good of a product that Honda puts out then I'm not a big fan. Something can't just sit in the yard and need repair a short time later. So three air conditioners in 82k miles and on top of getting new tires and new brakes my wife picked up the car and the wrench warning light and the low air pressure warning light was on. These people are crooked and lazy on top of anything else you would like to add. Steer clear. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Beware! They will take advantage of you. I was traveling through Jasper to South Carolina with my family and our car battery light came on. We came here and oh man did they take advantage of us. Told us we needed to buy a new battery before they could test and see if it was the alternator. They said it probably wasn't the alternator so we went ahead and bought the new battery. Surprise... It was the alternator. We were told it would be $560 to replace the alternator. We left and went down the road to Martin's Garage and got an alternator for $330! Thank you Martin's! read more

Buying my new car from Ray Schollian at Honda of Jasper has been the easiest and best car buying experience I have ever encountered in my over 40 years of buying cars. I was introduced to Honda of Jasper through my bank's car buying assist program. Honda of Jasper, and other dealers, sent information on their inventory closely matching my criteria for make and model. Some also called trying to sell me other cars. After a few weeks of research, I narrowed my criteria to the exact color and accessories and sent the information to a number of dealers with my intent to buy a car as soon as possible. Ray Schollian responded (email) almost immediately that he had found aen exact match for my criteria in another state and he could obtain the car for a price that was considerable lower amount than I would have ever expected. I traded a few emails and two phone calls with him and almost before I knew it, Honda of Jasper delivered the new car from Jasper, AL to my home Huntsville, AL. I have never met Ray Schollian and talked to him via phone only twice before we came to a deal for the car. I would recommend you talk to him too if you are looking for a Honda. read more

They were very kind but I believe it was all fake now. I bought a used car from them and they assured me everything was fine and the mechanic had looked at it recently. Fast forward to the test drive-- The open door light was on and I was told they would find the problem and fix it before I left, however they did not find the problem and fix because the next day it was back on saying my door was open. I took a closer look at the door and realized not only was the door panel coming off, the door wouldn't lock at all! (How ironic considering I was telling the car salesman that I didn't by a different car a few days earlier because of that reason exactly and he kept making jokes assuring me I wouldn't have that problem). I also believe the mechanic had not looked at the car at all, because the second day after purchase my engine light came on. I had it looked at and they told me multiple things weren't as they should be. I had to pay to have my door hooked up correctly and will have to pay more to fix the other issues as they refuse to call me back after two phone calls and being told they would have their mechanic handle it. Also when negotiating price I was told they would not go for as much as I had proposed simply because they had "more than that put into the vehicle" and I am left here wondering what exactly they were talking about with all these problems that still need to be fixed. Will not recommend anyone to buy from here or ever return to purchase in the future. Poor salesmanship at its finest. read more

I called about a vehicle and rode over to test drive it. When my daughter and I arrived, there was another family browsing and checking out the vehicle in which we were interested. They were not, however, accompanied by a salesperson. The salesperson with whom I was dealing was very young and working temporarily at the dealership. He asked for the keys to the vehicle and was stalled at every turn. After much whispering and such, a senior salesman walked right past us with the keys to allow the other couple to test drive the vehicle. The sales manager then proceeded to try to talk us into another vehicle in which we were not interested. I was livid! I feel like the senior salesperson was "chosen" over our salesperson because they believed he had a better chance at selling the vehicle and thought that the other family was more likely to buy since I was not accompanied by a man. I will NEVER buy a car from these clowns! I have since talked to several people who have had bad experiences with this bunch. Beware. read more
