I have known for several years that I had significant hearing but I was in denial about needing a…read morehearing aid. Dr. Michael Malotte had conducted hearing tests which showed a 45% loss of hearing in my left ear. In October, 2019 Dr Zachary Vandergriend donated hearing aid to The Branch Elementary School auction. Apparently I was the only person in attendance who needed a hearing aid. I won the auction. I was then contacted by Dr Jennifer Perry about the hearing aid that I had won. At the appointment she explained about the options that I had . An order was placed. At my next appointment I received my hearing aids. Dr. Perry patiently explained and calibrated the hearings for me to get comfortable with change that I would notice while using the hearings aids. It is AMAZING. I so regret not having been fitted for a hearing years earlier. I have had 2 follow up appointments where Dr Perry has adjusted the sensitivity of the devices. Is my hearing perfect? No, but the improvement is substantial. The hearing aids are comfortable.I barely notice their presence while I am wearing them. Several times I have tried to get in bed or showered when I realized I was wearing them. I am so pleased with my hearing aids. If your spouse, partner or friends tell you that yo u might have a hearing loss, go get tested. The test is painless, and informative. I have been tested twice without hearing aids and actually enjoyed the testing process. I understand now that hearing loss can effect your mental health. I am 75 years of age and could not carry on a conversation in a crowded restaurant. Now I can participate in the conversations. I am so happy and thankful for my hearing aids, Thank you Drs. Malotte, Vandergriend and Perry

I have battled drug/opiate addiction for over 40 years and was one of Ken's first patients back in…read more2012 when I crawled into his office after taking 25-30 Oxycodones (30 mg) a day. He prescribed Suboxone at that time and I had to be admitted to an in-house medical detox to withdrawal. After relapsing again I contacted Ken and he told me to come to his office ASAP. I had added benzo's to the opiates this time and was in even worse shape. Dr. Starr now offers NAD brain restoration therapy which I fondly refer to as the "drip" and is the most incredible, thorough and painless withdraw I have ever experienced. In just 10 days I was drug free and feeling better and more mentally/emotionally stable and clear than I have been in too many years. This is a truly amazing process so please check out his website for more details. I want to add that Dr. Starr is the most compassionate and non-judgmental doctor that I have ever gone to for my addiction problem. I truly love the man and his support staff and consider him not just my doctor but also a friend so please please please call Dr. Starr if you or someone you know is suffering from alcoholism or drug addiction. He is the worlds best!!!

I saw this doctor for ketamine about a year ago & had a phone consultation with him as well, but…read morewhen I came back after a hiatus he played some kind of weird extortion game which I'll explain. I made an appointment for ketamine & for other issues I wanted to talk about because I have to go much further normally to big cities and spend a few nights away from home, on hotels and such. I thought Id save myself a train/bus ride, hotels, eating out. So I arrive at his clinic in Arroyo grande which is an hour and a half drive, & I do the intake form, they take me back, I pee in a cup, & then I return to the waiting room & after 10 minutes the secretary comes out and says "oh Im so sorry but the doctor wants another $300" (in addition to the $200 Ive already paid) This is after I had talked to her about my LONG drive as small talk. Perhaps he thought he could extort me for more money or maybe he does the old bait & switch on other people who are suffering from depression/suicidal ideation/dysphoria/OCD/ADHD and a host of other problems I dont care to list publicly, but the list goes on Anyway Im already checked in, Ive paid $200 and now he demands an extra $300. The ostensible excuse was "oh, youre a new patient because its been a while" but thats clearly BS. When he came out of the office, he glared at me, and I dont really feel like this guy has much desire for helping people. It was a cold, blank stare. I think hes a very typical money-grubber with a vacuous gaze who is willing to send people who are struggling with very serious mental issues back out onto the street if they dont fork out the money. He thought I would cave because I drove so far, but he was wrong. I chose to suffer rather than play that game. This guy is the very opposite of the type who actually mean it when they take the hippocratic oath. I noticed this regarding the cold/ostentatious ambiance on my first couple sessions with him, but to avoid having to go to los angeles- and ironically in the hope of saving time & money- I was willing to overlook it. At some point, governments/communities are going to have to get serious and start screening people for the profession which attract psychopathic personalities or the callous racketeering & perpetual insidious corruption will remain exactly as it is & as its always been.
