This is where to go to get ripped off. I had a $7000 implant. It FAILED. I had multiple infections…read morebecause of inferior materials used and abundance of cement used. The abutment and crown were stock. Dr. Cabrera wrote up the plan and explicitly wrote custom materials. He stood in the back of the room while a different dentist did the implant. Was I a guinea pig,? I'm a woman of age alone on social security. He made me take a yearly plan to (keep expenses down) claiming it would have been over $8000. I gave them multiple times to rectify the issues but blamed it on other teeth trying to get more money out of me and made derogatory remarks about how my regular dentist would not get me in soon enough. He wanted to charge 2500 for a root canal and crown on the tooth in front of the implant and previously blamed a tooth behind the implant. My dentist sent me to another specialist and both agreed the implant failed. Greece FD never took responsibility for their mistakes. I had the crown and abutment removed and it's deemed unusable. The infections stopped and I have no tooth in place. 7000 down the toilet. I needed a very painful lazar treatment to treat the gum infection when it was removed. He claims to be Christian which was why I chose them. Shame on you Dr. Cabrera and the blaming your associate for the error. He orchestrated the whole thing. Besides who gives away big ticket items and cruises in contests. What other dental practice does that?? Who's paying for those things? His patients.

I rarely write public reviews, but my recent experience at Aspen Dental in Greece, NY was…read moredisturbing, unprofessional, and, in several ways, negligent. From the moment I arrived, the dental assistant displayed clear impatience and rudeness. While taking my X-rays, she repeatedly blamed me for her difficulty, saying my tongue was "in the way," and became visibly annoyed. She then refused to finish the last two X-rays altogether, saying she simply wouldn't take them and implying she would make up an excuse if anyone asked. During my extraction, the same assistant continued acting dismissive and unprofessional. When I expressed pain as the dentist pulled my cheek extremely hard, she smirked and made comments suggesting I shouldn't be hurting saying he hasn't even put the needle in yet. Her tone and behavior were completely inappropriate for someone working inches from a patient's face during a procedure. The extraction itself felt rushed and rough. My tooth broke during the process, and the assistant made comments such as "I've never seen it done like that before," which did nothing to instill confidence. After the tooth was removed, I was left sitting upright with broken pieces of my tooth still in my mouth. No one rinsed my mouth before or after the procedure. I had to discreetly remove pieces of tooth myself while standing there. When the procedure was finished, neither the dentist nor the assistant offered any post-op instructions. They did not explain aftercare, did not check if I was okay, and made no effort to ensure I understood how to manage the extraction site. I was simply told, "Well, you can leave," despite being clearly dazed from the amount of Novocaine used. I have had multiple extractions in my life, and I have never once been sent home without instructions or without even rinsing the area. Some staff members in the office were kind, but the individuals directly involved in my care were unprofessional, careless, and inattentive to basic standards of dental practice. The lack of communication, lack of aftercare, failure to complete X-rays, rough handling, and failure to rinse or remove debris after an extraction are all unacceptable. This was the worst dental experience I have ever had, and I am posting this so other patients can make informed decisions. In addition, I have been very ill since the procedure. This is now day two, and I am still extremely unwell. I had to call off work because of how poorly I felt after what should have been a simple tooth extraction. I strongly believe that the rough handling, lack of rinsing, and lack of basic aftercare contributed to how sick I have been since leaving the office. No patient should ever feel this way after a routine dental procedure.

Went to apt was told it was a consultation, no money needed. I didn't complete the 55 million page…read morenew patient forms I figured I would fill them in at the office and the morning of my appointment they called me and told me I needed to fill them out before I came. I asked them then how much the appointment was and they told me it was a free consultation only to get there and be charged for a comprehensive visit would not even a basic visit was done. The doctor was in and out of the room within minutes and left charting to his assistant. I told the front desk that it was a consultation and of course the woman didn't know what I was talking about even though she talked to me that morning. I paid in since I had the doctor's email I emailed the doctor let him know what was going on he said he'd give me the money back. He never did a month goes by I email again he ignores the email. Finally I get in touch with the bank after I show them proof. The bank pays me back. Once the bank gets in touch with the dentist that is when they get back to me. I shouldn't have to call the bank to get my money or be ignored or waste my time to come in for a money grab. You're not even able to make your own appointments they tell you when you can and can't come. Not accommodating, nobody knows what they're talking about, they will ignore you if they owe you money. It was an experience I could do without. When looking for a dentist you want to make sure you have faith and trust and if they can accommodate a consultation or bill you for the correct services from the start, You have to question Do you trust them with the rest!
