"The highway". Hash browns, biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs in one delicious bowl.

Sometimes I just want to walk into a down home diner where all the local people are and get a delicious breakfast and have someone pour me some coffee. I love this diner for that reason. Simple, friendly and quality breakfast without breaking the bank!

The Highway was fantastic...definitely try. Skillet, with biscuit, gravy (great gravy), hash browns and cheddar cheese.

Want to know who's an absolute delight - Judy from the namesake restaurant! Like most people, we've…read moreseen her videos online and when we were 45 minutes away, we decided we needed to check the place out! She indeed does have the best pancakes and also makes incredible other dishes! This gem is located about 45 minutes south of the quad cities, down a sunny paved road, deep in corn country! It's in a neighborhood and aside from the pancakes on the roof, it's pretty nothing flashy. It's a true down home type diner with seating for 60 ish inside and plenty of outdoor seating. The food here is both American and a couple Chinese dishes - yes, we had dumplings with our breakfast! Totally worth it! We also had chicken fried steak, steak and eggs, and omelette, biscuits and gravy, and her famous pancakes! The pancakes were pretty Epic! Fluffy, sweet, not overly heavy and made just perfect with double butter - because let's face it, you're not here for your health. They had us in and out in like 45 minutes - the place is a machine! We had a chance to talk with Judy, and she was as nice as we had hoped! We got to chat with her for a while about her favorite foods to make, and got a fangirl/boy picture with her outside the restaurant. They've got great food, small town charm and big time fun vibes here. Do like Judy say and "Come for Breakfast!"

I finally checked the box. After having Judy tell me for months on social media that she had the…read morebest pancakes, I had to go see for myself. While on a road trip throughout multiple states, I found myself not far so made it a point to stop in. I sat at the counter and received excellent service. I had the berry medley pancakes and the sausage patties. Everything was delicious! Coincidentally, while I was in Galesville Judy was in DC (not far from where I live). Her being there would have made the experience more exciting but I knew it was not a guarantee.

Not what you would expect in a little place nestled in Canton. My husband and I were left stunned at the quality and taste of the food. It was just extraordinary. Truly some of the best food we have eaten in a very long time. We tried the Heavenly French Toast and it really is heavenly, not just a cute title. Cheesecake STUFFED HOMEMADE BREAD! Need I say more? but they don't just stop there! it is topped with a mound of thinly sliced braised apples cooked with delicious crispy bacon. Then swimming in maple syrup. Truly a feast for the angels! My hubby chose Jessica's Bowl.. Wow this thing is massive and packed with everything you could ever want for breakfast! Fluffy buttery biscuits devoured by flavor packed sausage gravy, fried potatoes, eggs anyway you wanted, he did overeasy. ( made to perfection) loads of melty cheese, then to throw, this thing into the stratosphere, they topped it with fried chicken!!! What?! Yes delectable fried chicken. We never had to wait for drink refills cause they incredibly friendly and diligent wait staff too care of us! and it was packed when we got there! At the front they also had homemade breads and goodies. Including some yummy cookies. We choose a cowboy cookie and a strawberry lemonade. They were just as delicious. They soft flavor packed lemonade cookies was melt I you mouth. The cowboy was jam packed with mix ins! Cash only business but they have a convenient ATM. A breakfast counter, outdoor seating and a dining room is available as well. I give this business the highest praise! Will definitely be back!
