I went in the first week of May to get an idea of when we would be hearing from someone regarding the appointment, I was told we were on the schedule for the following week. This afternoon; 5-28-19, I called to check the status of our request, first I was placed on hold for over 10 minutes. When someone finally got on the line, I gave her the information for the account and contact phone number. I informed her my number should be on the information as point of contact and was RUDELY told "if you want to be contacted you to have give me the number;" which I had already given. I attempted to explain I was just letting her know I should be listed as the point of contact and there was no reason to speak to me the way she had. Rather than apologize or simply say "thank you" she decided the better course of action would be to hang up on a customer. I stopped by to speak to the owner or manager and was greeted by yet another extremely rude employee (Chelsea). I was informed she and another (Susan) were the only 2 there and that she did not answer the phones. When told the situation her response was, "that's just the way it is!" This sort of behavior should not be tolerated in any customer service industry, period! Update to this review... One hour after posting this review, Susan from Pools West called and told us we have 2 options... Take our review down and they would be out next week or find someone else to do the service. Needless to say we would rather spend our money with a reputible company who VALUES their customers.

I also like how they are all one-story, so no upstairs neighbor. While yes, as the above poster says it is like living in a cracker box, I definitely think that you just need to be creative and inventive with your space (or of course buy a bigger floorplan). It is just the right size for one person. I found this place as it was only one of six apartments in Lubbock that allowed a large dog. It is about 10 minutes to Texas Tech driving with no traffic. The office staff is super super friendly. They text you when a package is dropped off and one time they even helped me out by receiving a mattress delivery. The went to my apartment and opened it and supervised the worker set it up! Talk about going above and beyond. My neighbors were not an issue, front doors are very close to one another, just wave and be cordial. Each apartment does get a "yard." This has come in handy when my dog needs to go at 4 am. Otherwise I don't make use of it because the weather is quite extreme in LBK. I do wish that the fitness center was larger or had more than just one treadmill, every other time I go in there someone is already using it! And yes, more closet/storage space would be nice but I don't need it. And you get what you pay for! Such a good price for the amenities, service, and the brand new fixtures.

Apartments are fairly priced, although space is limited. I had to spray the borders of the door with roach/spider killer to fend off the critters every night. The complex sprays quarterly, but it's not enough to deter bugs from entering in the first place. Apartment would have been 4+ stars otherwise.

I can't believe that Im the first to review such an awesome complex! I lived here for 2 years while…read morei was finishing up school at tech. I rented a two bedroom--one room for an office and one for sleeping. This is one of the best complexes I've lived in and ill touch on some main points: 1) location: if you're a student at Tech or TCU, the location is great. It took me about 8 minutes to get to school every day. It was just a straight shot down 19th. It's 4 minutes away from Costco and Marshalls and there are tons of fast food restaurants all around. 2) rent: rent is fair and they offer a discount for graduate students. 3) service: I LOVED the office staff. They always went above and beyond to make my life easier. Every time i got a package delivered to the office they would send a text. They would also offer to stick the package inside my apartment, making it super convenient for my busy schedule and times when i couldn't make it there during office hours.Maintenance was quick, polite, and they knew what they were doing. They would randomly have events with free food at the office. 4) dog policy: they do not have any breed or size restrictions. 5) at move out they didn't try to charge for ridiculous things, like some other apartments do. Another apartment once charged me for dust on top of the ceiling fan. 6) apartment: the buildings a little older but still nice. I really do miss them. Even though I moved to a brand new luxury apartment, they cant even hold a candle to La Salle staff and service.

I've lived here long enough (2 sad years) to confidently say the biggest issue with this property…read moreis management. Maintenance requests take weeks to be addressed, and communication is shockingly unprofessional. I recently followed up on a maintenance order that had been submitted two weeks earlier, only to have management hang up on me mid-sentence while I was explaining the issue. No callback, no explanation -- just abruptly disconnected. I had to go to the front office in person to get any response at all. As I arrive already upset, the maintenance is en route to my unit. Had I not gone in person I wouldn't have even known management knew about my maintenance request. The amenities are another MAJOR disappointment. For the price being charged, they are poorly maintained and often unusable. What's advertised does not reflect the actual living experience. First year living here through my lease 2024-2025 , I believe the workout facility was fully functional 4 months of the 12. Either it was an electrical short, an average "remodel" of the gym, or any of the equipment not functional. If you are someone who prioritizes fitness, prepare to be let down. Residents should not have to chase down basic services or tolerate being dismissed when asking for help. How does it make any sense for me as a resident to call the the company of the community washer and dryer, that is rented/owned by the The dominion for repairs. In service, as a hospitality worker myself... Clear communication and respect are the bare minimum, and this management team consistently falls short. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere unless you're comfortable dealing with delays, broken amenities, and unprofessional treatment. There is a reason most of my neighbors didn't renew here, and a lot of units are consistently vacant.

AC got fixed last month and broke again in 2 weeks, said there was nothing maintenance could do about it. I was the first resident to inhabit UNIT 1207 when everything was pristine and there weren't a lot of students in Building 1. One thing that I really liked about this apartment was the readily availability to the Tazo Hot tea machine that they had in the lobby. I grew incredibly in love with the hibiscus flavor that I craved while I sat in class. However, I made the mistake of moving to an area and not being very familiar with the newly gentrified place. I say this to mention the troubles I had to put up with for a year. I shared my first college apartment with my sister (parents' choice) and the back end of the apartment was nestled in an impoverished area across the street from some low-income Section 8 units. There was this bench that sat on the apartment property right below my unit's window and every single night, the homeless people in proximity would sit there, drink alcohol, curse at each other, eat, and fight a lot to the point that the cops were called on them frequently. I complained numerous times since it was a nuisance. This obviously was their home before this apartment complex was built. Each time I complained to apartment management at the time, nothing was done. This got to the point that if they didn't remove the bench, that I would move out because the noise was loud and I was losing sleep knowing that I was a full-time student. I guess the first-floor unit below me complained too and they eventually moved the bench to where the Walmart is. Once that situation cleared up, I had to deal with "whose ever idea was to put carpet in enclosed spaces such as hallways" especially allowing college students to own pets wasn't using their brains. It didn't matter how many notices the apartment staff put out to clean up after your pet and even going the length of cleaning up the carpet. The carpet still had a stank odor that was unpleasant when walking to and from destinations. I will say that there were some more firsts that I had to deal with at this property. This is the first apartment I lived in where I was forced to learn how to parallel park and my mum taught me. Since building 1 wasn't nearly anywhere close to the parking garage was building 2; you are included in street parking. I would always park on Glenna Goodacre or the side with the low-income apartments as it was convenient to where my unit was. The bus is a hit or miss; especially after midnight it was a huge hit and imagine studying all day long in the library only to have to walk 2-4 miles back to your apartment. (depending on if you can get a Lime scooter, or just opt to walk). I would have to suffer those times and even in the mornings, the bus would be so packed with other students that you would have to stand for the whole duration of the trip back to campus. It was at this apartment, that I met my first tea buddy named Martin. Martin and loved drinking hot tea. We would trade teas and rate them together. We rode the same bus where we first met. He was a cool guy. For a whole six months, it felt as if apartment management was non-existent and for the most part, they were. Then, out of nowhere, that's when Park East company out of Chicago, IL took over management. The owner of Park East is this African guy who seems to not know how to crack a smile stick in the mud kind of guy; however, the rest of his crew were down-to-earth and cool people. The overweight white lady in the office used to give my sister and my roommate a hard time, but she never messed with me. The black guy with glasses was always so cool. He almost wanted to be a college student again and would play pool with my friends and me sometimes. The unit was pretty standard and cookie-cutter generic looking like most newly constructed homes. The couches that they put in every unit are ridiculously uncomfortable. You can't plop on it and I wouldn't recommend sleeping on it or you'll wake up with pains. I will say that I did have a lot of fun at Park East. In Easter 2018, my friends and I hosted a pool party (since we all weren't going home for the holiday). We had gotten permission to reserve the pool for ourselves and started grilling. The party started quiet, but of course, everyone saw how much fun we were having that they just had to join and that's when the party got lit. I had a lot of fun that whole day. I did things that I never experienced in my life. As time went on, I went through my fair share of roommates (the ones that don't clean, the racist ones, the annoying ones who steal your food, and the ones who bring their boyfriends over for "one-night", but he's moved in under the radar). What was the ultimate downfall of this apartment complex and what made me move out was the rent changes and the increase in electricity charges that weren't adding up to the usage. I felt like it was shady business dealings.

I was hoping that with new ownership Park East would improve their living conditions, but I could…read morenot have been more wrong. Valet trash dropped one of my cardboard boxes on the way to the compactor, and the new management took a picture and charged me a hefty fine for "improper trash disposal". The week they claimed I threw the box outside, I was on crutches and it would've been physically impossible for me to carry a broken down cardboard box outside and place it where they claimed it was. I also live in the same building as the mailroom, so there's no reason for me to go outside with any of my packages. I find it disheartening that despite following all the rules and being a perfect tenant, any resident could get fined for something Park East's employee did and have no way to defend themselves. When I tried explaining this to them, they refused to even entertain the idea and hold their employees responsible. Even a warning would have been better than how they handled the situation. This reckless behavior messes with people's finances and their livelihoods. If you're searching for a safe, cheaper place to live I suggest you look somewhere else, unless you want to get fined for something you never did.

The apartment manager informed me that she personally inspected the sub floors in that apartment and they are all in good condition. It's not the subfloors, it's the people living there!!!!!! We were asked to move because of the negative reviews that I've left on their Facebook page, which they have removed. They've removed all of their reviews so that others won't see how horrible they are there. We are extremely grateful to be away from those horrible people!!!!! The apartment complex comes with stackable washers and dryers. The washing machine in our apartment ruined our clothes and they didn't replace it until maybe October. Our clothes have stains all over them, including the scrubs that I wear to work. I just bought 4 new pairs of scrubs for work and it cost me $250. The maintenance man said that the washer should've been replaced before we moved in. Of course they wouldn't reimburse us for ruining our clothes!!!!! The dumpsters are almost always full. I've even seen a dump truck drive through the apartment complex and NOT empty the dumpsters. So I would often set my trash on the ground next to the dumpster because I couldn't get them in the dumpster. The loud and obnoxious people who lived above us tattled on me doing that, so now then they threatened to charge me $75 every time that I do that again. Those 5-10 seconds of maintenance putting them in the top of the dumpster REALLY interferes tremendously with them using a leaf blower to blow the dirt around. Because the wind doesn't do it enough around here. The apartment manager apparently has some personal issues that she loves taking out on her tenants. She refused to talk to my lawyer and when I forwarded her emails to my lawyer, he said that she was acting emotionally instead of professionally. That's why I think she has personal problems that she took out on us and no telling how many other tenants. We have personal problems too. PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, but we go to counseling and we take meds. And we do NOT take it out on innocent bystanders!!!!!! I've lived in apartment complexes here in Lubbock for about 27 years and it's getting worse and worse!!! And don't bother contacting the corporate office, they don't care either. I think the staff is on illegal drugs.
