This apartment complex is honestly as perfect as it gets in terms of price and location. The space…read moreis a bit quaint, but it was a reasonable space for just myself, and my always commented on how much they loved how cute it was. Central heating/air never failed for me. Also, I was walking distance to work (I'm a nurse at UMC), Market Street, and a park with a track. The only downside is the frat/sorority circle behind the apartments, but the noise on the weekends was never loud enough to keep me awake. Maintenance was available at all times, as well. My car wouldn't start one day and management did not hesitate to call maintenance and have it fixed immediately before I was heading into work. Another plus is that management must keep the area sprayed because I rarely run into bugs, and even the plants and trees are very well maintained. Overall, these apartments are superb! The staff is very friendly and welcoming, I couldn't have asked for a better experience for my time here in Lubbock.

Location wise, these apartments are ideal as it is right across from campus. My son had a unit at the back end of the complex. When we signed the lease, the pics online looked great and the prices seemed reasonable. He and some friends wanted the 5 bedroom, 5 bath unit. Cons: When I saw it for the first time after signing the lease, I wasn't too enthused about it. It looked very worn. You can tell they just keep applying fresh coats of paint every year to keep it looking fresh, but do a less than stellar job at it. If you think the prices are reasonable, think again. They added random things like a gate and patio furniture and all of a sudden there were additional fees every month. Utilities are not cheap here. If you're expecting your deposit back, think again. I did a walk through when I moved my kiddo out and it looked pretty good. They got all the tenants in there and no one got their deposit back. They stated it wasn't clean enough and carpet had to be replaced. Doubt they did that. Pros: Wifi is included. They do have a washer and dryer in the unit. They have a fitness center and nice pool. Shuttle services are provided to TTU. Furniture is included in some units. On top of having a kitchen, there are plenty of food options nearby as well as a Walmart within walking distance. The overall experience for me as a parent cosigning for a student was not as good as I would have liked. If I had to do it all over again or steer future residents in the right direction, look elsewhere!

Honestly, I love my apartment. My only complaint about it would be that there's barely any hot…read morewater. My main complaint I came on here to share was about the service at the front office. The people working here will be nice to you for the first couple of months, but after that, if you go in to try and ask for help, or even just pick up and package they will give you the biggest attitude. We go there for assistance, not to feel stupid for not knowing the answer or for needing help.

"The person that wrote the review with 1 star is a fucking idiot. If they hate it so much, MOVE! It's not that difficult." --Hey buddy-- i dont live there anymore. I am in Dallas, where people have good choices as to where to live. I also like how you resort to name calling. Thats very mature... how old are you (because you look older in your picture)? Now, lets play the refuting game! 1. Late with the rent. (The fees can pile up quick) -- i was never late once with the rent. however, the thirty dollar water bills I would put off for a while sometimes because I though they were wrong..... never was charged a fee though. 2. Typical Frat Boy living in a complex that does not condone partying every night. -- the maximum number of friends over at a time never exceeded 3. And that was for a thanksgiving dinner party. However, there were neighbors that did have loud parties and would be screaming at each other in the parking lot on many occasions. 3. Mommy and Daddy cut their sorry asses off and they have to be a responsible normal person and get a job. -- I was in the Marine Corps and I find this laughable. 4. Their credit is so bad that they can't even get a prepaid cell phone. --- Good one.... NOT! I was under the impression the landlord does a credit check and will turn down unsavory characters.... hmmmm. Why would he request a credit report if he accepted everyone? You mention "so much character" these houses have no character except the stairs and fireplace-- which admittedly were pretty cool. Except the carpet on the stairs from the 70's, and the fireplace with no glass doors-- just the chains. Oh, and the flue did not shut, which led to wind noise being heard through the chimney. The maintenance man could not even help me open or close the flue. It was sad. Besides those two points of uniqueness... everything else is bland. Its a brown box on the outside and falling apart on the inside. The dishwasher fell out of its housing, the stove was very inefficient, and the hot water does not last very long at all! The two story units DO have ample room for all the crap you can load in a truck and haul over. -- Ill give you that-- they are big units for the price. If by character you mean lived in and falling apart--- ill give you that too. They were not the best of places to live. I would look into something else if I were back in Lubbock. I would definitely not live there again
