I credit him with diagnosing my 14-year-old cat's pancreatitis and IBD (after a couple years of problems) and keeping him healthy, happy, and his naughty but lovable self as long as possible. Now they've helped my rescue puggle through ACL surgery/TPLO surgery. Dr. Nate Rose came to HPH to do the surgery. Dr. Hawksford removed a lump at the same time. I felt so much better that it was done there. They were hugely helpful before and after and my pup is doing great! Definitely highly recommend Dr. Hawksford and his staff!

Today's training for me and the pup with Mark was first rate. Clearly our dog now loves his behavioral training which is primary with obedience second. We've used Red Star for five years for boarding our two other dogs, a small mixed breed and a GSP. The GSP was always straining to get into Red Star so we knew from the beginning they were treated right. There's a reason dog lovers have brought their dogs here for training and boarding - some over 15 years. Quality, consistency, fairness to dogs and owners. While visiting Kansas City from San Francisco I decided that my sister wasn't taking adequate care…read moreof her cat. He had fleas and seemed to be in poor health. I was only here a few days and had to get him to the vet and then have him cleaned up (unfortunately there was flea dust all over his coat). I checked craigslist for pet grooming services and luckily I stumbled upon Cutting Edge. I was so excited to see a service that would come to me! I can't tell you how convenient this is. I called Cassie and explained the situation. She was eager to help and squeezed me in at the last minute. Cassie arrived at 9am and was sweet as ever. I was impressed by her demeanor and professionalism and couldn't wait to see the result. My kitty warmed to her immediately. She took him out to her mobile grooming unit and an hour later he was impeccably clean and SO SOFT! There was absolutely no flea dust on him and his hard to clean eye area was spotless. She also gave him the cutest little bandanna around his neck. I felt like I had a show kitty! I ordered the normal grooming service and opted in for the extra shedding care package. I couldn't believe how much you got for what you paid. It was more than worth it. I can't say enough about this service. Cassie, I wish you were out in San Francisco, you are just incredible!

My dog was LONG overdue for a grooming! He had such a bad experience the last time he was groomed…read morethat my husband and I were a little hesitant to put him through that again. We didn't need to worry with Cassie. She arrived right on time and I prepared her ahead of time about my dog's issues. Two hours later, our dog Larry appeared well groomed and very happy. She took a lot of time dematting him in areas we didn't even realize he had mats. She also filed his nails instead of just clipping them. It was also apparent that she really gained Larry's trust and affection. The only reason I gave her four stars is because the price was significantly higher than I was expecting. I told her we just wanted to trim him, not style him, as shown in the mini-groom package but when she gave me the receipt I was charged the highest amount for a full groom, plus dematting. I was totally okay paying extra for the dematting but was a bit surprised. She said the minigroom only covered a bath not any sort of cutting. This confused me on the website as I thought since I did not want him styled we would be paying the minigroom price. Thankfully she did such an excellent job that it was worth the money we paid, but it might not be something we can do as frequently because of the high cost.
