It took me so time for me not to be worried about my parents well-being in their new surroundings. It soon was apparent that they were well taken care of, most of the time they were busy playing Bingo or listening to live music or just interacting with the staff and other residents. I love Brandywine Senior living the facility has put to rest any fear I had relative to my parent care. I can only say if you have a elderly relative who could use a Assisted Living facility, please check out Brandywine Senior living at Fenwick Island. She's treated wonderfully by everyone, especially her caregiver, Kison. Also, Chris, Bethany, and Jamie are employees in her unit and they are upbeat and cheerful. All of the employees seem to know all of the residents' names, and that's pretty impressive. I'm so happy to have found this great facility, and it's only two miles from where she lived before she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. There are so many activities scheduled, she is never bored. I did visit and research other places before deciding on Brandywine, and I'm very happy I made the choice I did. She is also happy there, and I love seeing her happy when I visit. Family activities are scheduled regularly, and the dining room facility is basically a restaurant with a menu...families are welcome to join residents for a meal, and we have done that often. Do yourself a favor and visit Brandywine if you have the need for assisted living.

I remember when we first moved him in I thought the place was like a very nice hotel. They have beautiful common areas like an outdoor fountain and fireplace, a bar, several lounges and dinning areas, a movie theater, and game areas. They do happy hour for the residents where they can have beer or wine and hangout together chatting or singing. We've joined my grandfather for dinner a few times and it was always good, albeit with a lot of the expected soft textures. Snacks and refreshments are always available. They even have cookouts for some holidays and invite the families of residents. They encourage family involvement, my uncle is a certified volunteer and visits all the time and helps with programs. We often take my grandpa out and there's never been any hassle. They continue to provide excellent care for their residents.

However, the upper management is unresponsive and deceptive. My mother passed away 6 months ago and they have yet to issue a refund. But I'm told that "we're doing the best that we can ". They sure take your money quickly and penalize you if you're late on top of the constant rate increases. Having a loved one in assisted living is difficult but it's horrendous that Heartfields is so poorly managed. Stay clear of this facility if you can.
