DO NOT CHOOSE THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY YOU WILL BE SORRY !!! This company takes the cake, from the bottom all the way up to the top, I recently purchased a Lenar Home and I was told by Lenar that New America financial at the time who is now Homespire was a preferred lender. I started working with Neil Kantor, who was never in the office, in fact he was out so much that I was then passed on to work with Kevin Eisenacher. Throughout the entire process they consistently had the wrong move dates and then they blamed it on the builder even though the builder furnished emails showing the correct information was disseminated to them. In December I received a loan estimate and from there I was asking when would we be able to lock our rates because the home was suppose to be completed in late January, all I received from Homespire was it's too early and you will have to wait until closer to closing so you don't pay a lot of money, so I though ok fair enough.Time started to pass and I began to feel more and more uneasy about things, finally my agent and I both started to email them about rate locks, they provided no information or useful guidance on when we could lock or how much it would be to lock at specific points in time, as a new home buyer you need that information in order to make a more informed decision regarding the biggest purchase of your life. Well sure enough They screwed up and had my close date as my birthday and it was three months off from when I was suppose to close. After going back an fourth it was determined on 1/5/18 that my closing date was suppose to be 2/29/ in stead of 1/29/18, at that point when we noticed the error it was January and I should of had a locked in rate, but once again the horrible company was a sleep at the wheel. So after a delay in construction my close date was pushed a month out, no problem I should have been locked right wrong. So it's now 3/5/18 rates have been steadily on the rise since December of 2017 and I get a call from low and behold Neil Kantor saying are you ready to lock your rates, the rates were a meager 4.85, I was like you have got to be crazy. I was livid my agent and I were emailed them for months and all of a sudden Neil drops back in out of the sky from la la land and ask me to lock a dam rate. I said where was the advice and council you were suppose to provide all these months while rates were sky rocketing and you were a sleep at the wheel drinking beers??? Finding out 3 weeks before closing you don't have a lock rate is stressful.They took Zero responsibility in the matter all these idiots kept saying was I never said verbatim to lock my rate. I said It's not my job to tell you how to do your job but obviously if I call and email every other week and my agent emails weekly about locking a rate a light should go off in your head that we're interested in locking our rates for my home. The matter was escalated to the VP who was completely TRASH... He wanted us to furnish email to show where we were asking about locking a rate we send him 40 emails between my agent and myself and all he said was it was not specific enough, I said in the email when can we lock, how much more specific so you need the emails to be??? After going back and fourth and it being a total waist of time I decided to fire Homespire and go with a more competent lender. I utilized my credit union and from that point it was like magic. I called submitted an application and immediately after the application before I was fully approved I was able to lock my rate so that when I was approved if the rates increased I would be locked in at the tentative rate that had when submitting the application. I was approved in a day and a half and submitted all my documents to the new credit union and they expedited all my information to ensure an on time closing by the end of the month, they were fantastic they were able to get me a super rate back in the 3's and not almost 5% like Homespire was offering and with out all the dam fees this trash company tried to hit me with, 150 dollars to pull a credit report, BS... At the end of the day leaving Homespire was the best decision, its amazing what can happen when you have competent people working your loan. What HomeSpire could not do in 4 months my credit union did in 3 weeks. DO NOT USE this company, they will like and cheat they're way all the way to then end if you let them at your expense, the extra rediculas feel that you will notice in your loan detail and estimate page is outrageous, several processing fees for 599 and 499 , it my seen small at first but the add up and multiply that by 12 then by 30, you just added an extra 70k to your loan in fees over 30years. Take my word for it stay clear HOMESPIRE is the WORST LENDER EVER. If I stayed I would not be in my new home at the very best rate possible. read more

We move to our new home in Frederick Maryland early this year. Before then we lived in a small townhouse which was inadequate for our diverse needs. We always wanted to get a bigger house, but we were worried of heavy down payment and the subsequent monthly mortgage payments. Todd Sheinin was an absolute rock-star when it came to help with the mortgage to purchase my first home about a year ago. I was a first time homebuyer. After I found the house that I wanted to purchase, I went to Zillow to find a mortgage company that offered great rates. New America Financial offered some of the best rates. Their Personal Loan Consultant, Valentina Wilber was very professional. I am a veteran and she knew how to process my VA home loan. I dealt with her exclusively and she showed up when I closed my loan, which was in about 30 days. After interest rates dropped, Valentina contacted me to see if I wanted to jump on the opportunity to refinance at 3.35% for 30-years fixed.
