If anyone is in need of a driving school for your teenager,this is the one to get.I learned about them through a good friend and so I called them for my oldest son two years ago.He had a great instructor named Bob.I recently called them again for my middle son and his instructor was Steve.Steve was calm and patient and my son felt very comfortable and at ease with him.They go over everything they need to know.all the safety requirements and guidelines and also go over the descriptions of the car.I had the 3 lesson package for both my boys.It is also very reasonable in price. We have had the best experience with HomeSafe from the beginning! My daughter registered & completed the online driver's ed through HomeSafe and got her permit on the first try. Brad was her driving instructor and he was super friendly, professional, and patient. I couldn't ask for a better person to teach her. After each lesson he always gave us a great constructive summary of how the lesson went, and things to work on. I really appreciated how calm and positive he is. My daughter felt totally comfortable with him, and I did as well, which is priceless. She learned a lot and he provided a great variety of driving situations: freeways, PCH, small residential streets, regular & parallel parking, uphill/downhill, etc. All of which I would not have been able to do myself! She has one last lesson right before her test and she feels really good about how prepared she is. Scheduling was great too, Ali was wonderful! She was able to make things work when we were having trouble with my daughter's busy schedule. After a bit of research I selected HomeSafe Driving School for my son's behind the wheel. The communication in scheduling was great. At one point I made an error and they fixed it right away after I emailed them. Brad was my son's instructor, and was always prompt and on-time. He took my son all over Orange County, and I feel he had a good amount of practice on busy streets, freeways and at night. My 16 yr old had been practicing on a permit for some months, but was still nervous. In 3 lessons Brad calmed her down and really showed her how to think with driving! He was caring but firm. HomeSafe is an exceptional driving school and I would highly recommend them. The lessons are one on one and they allow the parent to accompany the lesson (so you can learn some techniques too !) My daughter was anxious at first but Brad helped her relax. Scheduling lessons is very easy to schedule on-line as well. Brad was a great teacher and helped my daughter pass her test on the first try! They also let us use their car for the driving test and Brad even came early to let her practice. I'm writing an amendment to my original review. Home safe did contact me in a very professional reply, trying to resolve the communication issue i had. Apparently there was an issue with their web to email service, when prevented them from seeing my messages to them. And as far as me not being able to reach them via the phone number on yelp, when I checked my phone log, it was my error, a misdial, and I'll own that mistake. Due to their exceptional follow up to resolve the issue, i will reconsider using them next year for my next child. Brad is the best! I have nothing but positive things to say about him as an instructor and the staff in general. My son drives quite a distance to high school and is frequently on the freeway. Brad had him drive on multiple freeways and also on the Long Beach traffic circle right away. According to my son, he was always very patient and calm no matter what! I found him to be very personable and he spent the time with me after each lesson to go over what my son had learned and what he needed to work on. My son passed his test on the first try, and I think Brad was a big reason why! I have recommended him to many friends without hesitation and everyone has been very pleased. This was a rare experience where I can honestly say I was 100% satisfied in every way! EDIT 1/2018 to add that we used Home Safe (and Brad) again last year for my younger son. I got the referral to HomeSafe from my APA moms at Huntington Beach High school. We have Steve and Brad as our instructors. We couldn't be happier. They both are excellent instructors. They are very nice and has a good sense of humor, not intimidating at all for our teens. Are lessons were right after school and they come to our house in HB. Steve is a retired policeman, as I understand, and gave lots of safety tips!!!! They have an excellent online scheduling program that lets you pay and gives you reminders. It's very easy and helpful. Also, Ali can help with any questions when calling. She works hard at her job and worked on Sunday to get me in on a cancellation. They answer their emails too!! read more

This school is absolutely amazing. I am 25 and have had my permit 4 times- I always considered driving a nervous, stressful event every time I got behind the wheel. I used to sweat like there was no tomorrow when I sat in that driver's seat. However, Brad and Home Safe Driving School has changed all of that around and more!!! Brad has helped me build a confidence in driving I never knew I could have. With every driving lesson, I became significantly less nervous while driving and actually looked forward to driving with Brad. I felt like a better driver each time. I have had 4 other driving instructors and Brad is the best one hands down. Brad is positive, encouraging, and funny which helps ease your nervousness. When you make a mistake, he does not make you feel bad about it (like some of my other instructors have), but instead gives constructive feedback. He also goes above and beyond other driving instructors during his lessons which you have to experience yourself. He has turned me, a person who hated driving bc I was always so nervous when I got behind the wheel, into a person who likes to drive. His valuable lessons will stick with me through out all my driving years to come.
