We really love this Homeland- it is clean and always has good fresh produce and meats. The general groceries (cans, boxes, etc.) are a little more expensive than Walmart, Target, or Crest but having a place that's clean and local is really all we need. The building is older and could use a tiny bit of updating but we are happy with our local grocer! Also love that they have an app! This is the best pharmacy I have ever used. They have always done their best to help me. They have always listened to my questions and given me helpful answers. They care about their customer's satisfaction. I don't believe they ever made a mistake the entire time they have helped me. The wait time, if any, is short. This pharmacy is the standard all others should strive to match. read more

This is the best grocery store in Yukon, to date. I know there is a Walmart neighborhood markert, but this homeland has WAY more variety and equal if not lower prices. There is an olive bar, deli, bakery (they do custom cakes, too), pharmacy, and area with fresh cut fruit. If you are going somewhere for selection and price, this is the best. read more

This is the fancy Homeland in Yukon. The other one on Reno is where they must send their goods once they are about to expire. Out Wal-Mart, Homeland, and Sprouts, this is the only place I can get Arizona Green Tea. Out of all of the grocery stores in Yukon, this store has the best selection. The only problems are that the prices are much higher and they don't have enough cashiers. read more

This is the BEST Homeland in the city. Plenty of whole food and dietary restricted choices. They have gluten free, vegan, and keto options and the employees are helpful. The store is always clean and tidy. Thanks always look forward to see what new concoctions the deli, bakery, and produce depts have made. I entered wanting to find a single item: multivitamins. I figured they'd be right next to the other encapsulated items near the health and beauty section. Instead they're smack dab under the pharmacy counter, so if there are people in line you don't see them or have to shimmy in front of everyone waiting in that narrow passageway. It's just a very awkward setup, and the traffic flow of the store isn't really all that great. The interior is however very nice and the food looks fresh. The high prices are another matter entirely for those of us who don't shop on busy sale days, have a store card, or cut coupons. As for customer service, I can't really say anything very positive about it. Cashiers are slow checking out or have a "I'm too good for this job" kind of attitude. The registers are also understaffed, and whenever I've been there has only been one or two open. Also, if you have a problem in self checkout and need someone to clear an error (e.g. item weight not registering, or unexpected item in bagging area, need to void an item), it takes FOREVERRRRRR for someone to come over to help you. I literally stood there looking around for ANYBODY and I guess that was their cue to completely disappear and ignore their customers. When the girl (I pegged her as being in or just out of high school) finally came over she was rather brusque and rude, as though me wanting to pay for my groceries was taking up her valuable time dealing with the zero other customers in self checkout. And another issue I've always had is that I'm truly never comfortable in a store that herds its customers around. I hate hate hate the concept of controlled entrances, where they funnel you in and out specific pathways and then give you the stink eye when you turn right instead of their preferred left directly into the cheese section. Sure, I get the whole "loss prevention" and "traffic flow" and "subliminal messaging" jive, but if you aren't being obtrusive and merely want to head straight to the dog food section without going ALL the way around the store you shouldn't be made to feel like a damn criminal. read more

This review is for the bakery, not the store in its entirety. I ordered a small cake (round 2 layer, vanilla, with whipped icing with the cubs logo and "happy 30th birthday, Mitch") on Friday 9/15 around 12pm. The lady taking my order looked pissed off to be taking an order, or the fact that she even had to be there that day. (Trust me, I understand we all have bad days, but when I greet you with a smile, I expect at least common decency, for Christ sakes you're getting paid) The unhappy woman decided to take my order, confirmed spelling for everything and asked for my phone number. She asked when I needed the cake by, I told her by the next day, if possible. She informed me that would be fine, but it wouldn't be until 3pm. I said that was fine, and left to run the rest of my daily errands. Fast forward to 3pm today, 9/16 when I was told the cake would be ready. We walk in, and we're informed that they were running a few minutes behind, it would only be about 10-15 minutes. I smiled and said that's fine. (I'm almost 9 months pregnant, so we walked to the front of the store so I could use the restroom) we walked back to the bakery, (I then noticed that they had JUST THEN started to decorate my cake) and the bakery manager, BRENDA, informed me that she could give us a ticket so that we could go pay at the registers at the front and the cake should be ready by the time we get all the way back to the bakery. (which that's a whole other issue in and of itself... if I'm buying a cake, why can I not do it in that department? Why do I have to go all the way through the store?!!?) so we walked to the front, paid, returned to the bakery, and the cake was STILL NOT FINISHED. Mind you, it's now about 3:25. I can understand being behind. Being short staffed, but WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU ASK FOR MY PHONE NUMBER IF YOU WERENT GOING TO USE IT?! Call the customer and let them know that you're behind. No instead I had to wait for 30 minutes. I received my cake. (FINALLY) BRENDA, then said in a condescending, assholeish tone (she could tell I was pissed for having to wait) "thank you for being patient with us. I took the cake, turned to walk away, and just couldn't walk away without saying anything so I told her that I know they didn't start decorating my cake until about 10 minutes after we arrived. She looked at me and just like stared blankly basically like she couldn't believe I was onto their shit and called her out. Again, with the condescending tone and shit eating grin on her face, she "apologized" saying they were short staffed and had 60 cake orders. I again, informed her that THEY HAD MY PHONE NUMBER. I would have been so much more understanding had I received a phone call explaining that they only had one decorator, would I mind if they pushed my order back by half an hour. I turned to walk away, and said I would be calling to speak to her manager, she looked at me with a high and mighty tone between gritted teeth asking if I would like for her to call for him, I said yes I would love it. The manager, of course agreed with me, I'm sure BRENDA wasn't too happy about it. He was one of those "yes" men though, you know the type. He told me that on my next cake order they would offer me some kind of discount. They're hilarious if they think I'm dealing with that shit again. read more

I typically go here for groceries if I want to avoid the Walmart crowd. They have a great produce and meat selection. They also have a great MIO section. The staff is always friendly and the check out lines are never very busy. read more

Great super market, they have really stepped up their game in the last few years. The cheese and seafood selections are amazing. But while they have made the selection better, the staff don't seem to be very knowledgeable about the products. I have asked how to prepare Coke seafood or cuts of meat just to be told: "I have no idea." I think training should have gone with the other upgrades. read more

This is where I usually grocery shop. I think they have better produce and more variety than Walmart. The downside is that Walmart is cheaper, but I hate going to Walmart.the staff are always friendly and courteous. When I am there, at least one person will always ask me if they can help me find something. read more

I just moved to Yukon and immediately found the Grocery options disappointing. I live like 2 minutes from the Homeland on Reno but while it's well stocked and clean, it's got nothing special. It's also more expensive. The good thing about it being so expensive is that it's often empty! Nice place to avoid crowds.. So, today I visited the one at 10th and Czech hall and I gotta say I was impressed. They had my fresh Talapia!! Not those scrappy frozen talapias. Fresh baked bread, great selection of cheeses, premade wings, fried chicken ect.. the fresh seafood, beef, pork and chicken stand is pretty impressive. As is the produce section.. colorful and clean. If you want lower prices, try Wal-Mart or even crest. But this Homeland is so much better than the old boring ones. read more

We ordered cupcakes and cakes four our daughter's first birthday from this Homeland. The cakes we're good and the cupcakes with free frosting we're good but the half of the order with pink frosting tasted like bug spray or other chemicals. When my wife some with the bakery the day after they gave her attitude about having to look back through the previous day's receipts and said there was nothing they were able to do. I understand sometimes custom baked things may not turn out right but to give us attitude about it after the fact it just bad service. read more
