Normally we would probably interview at least a couple different agencies before deciding on one, But he left us with such a confident feeling that this is exactly what we want. The owner himself is very involved in every aspect of the company and has a relationship with the various workers so you are not just sent strangers to care for you. We began right away. I have had many experiences with different agencies, but this one has blown me away. The caregivers are never late, I have never had Her not show us up, cancel on me last minute, etc. They are really willing and able to do whatever it is that they can to help you. I never hear things like, the agency really doesn't allow us to do that, when it comes to things like cutting toenails, shaving legs or armpits, help me with my medication, etc. I use a Hoyer lift to transfer from my bed to my power chair, and doing thisyour with only one person can really be challenging but it hasn't been a problem. The owner of continues to stay in contact with us which makes us comfortable with everything. Another thing to point out, the owner knows the caregivers, So you don't have to worry about being sent out just some stranger off the street.

To many managers and not enough caregivers. It is a Franchise, they do not care about the service or care , all they see is the dollar sign. When the VA called to have them provide the care I needed, they said they do not have the staff needed to take another client. Shortly thereafter the VA got a call stating they will have the care giver and accepted the responsibility. During the month I was with them, there were no set schedule regarding days, times, or even employees. They kept giving me excuses that they are working on it, but it never turned out. I received nothing but constant lies, from the original person that came in for the initial interview to management and even the schedulers. BE VERY CAREFULL OF THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL PROMISE YOU EVERYTHING BUT DELIVER NOTHING. THEY ARE NOTHING BUT A WELL-RUN MARKETING COMPANY.

They take excellent care of my mom, first and foremost. They also reassure me and I feel like I've made several new friends. I can tell they truly care about my mom, and have gone above and beyond to keep her house clean (for which she has super high standards), which is very important to her. They've taken great care of her dog and cat, and spoil and love them when they are there. It is so important to be able to have caring people you can trust when you're not there. I've heard them talking to her when I'm there and they are so caring and reassuring her all the time. Today, I came over and baked, and they even cleaned up after me! I don't know the names of all the care givers that have been there, but Kayla, Chloe, Dorene, and Sarah have all just been amazing. I wish I didn't have to say goodbye when they are no longer needed. Carrie and Ashley in the office, are always available and take care of any questions or concerns immediately. I knew as soon as I and my first meeting with Ashley, we were in good hands. We had another service in a few years ago after my mom broke her wrist, and they were quite a disappointment. I am so happy to have this group caring for my mother as she deals with a serious illness. It is a scary time and leaving my mom in the care of others is a bit nerve wracking, but I feel incredibly lucky to have found these caregivers because I don't have any worries at all when I leave the house. However, the leadership, communication and professionalism from management was NOT great. Bre and TJ run the portage office and both do not communicate together or to their staff appropriately. So this left MANY times that things were not how they should have been. When Jen came to our house for the initial visit she assured us that the company was large enough that even if our person called in we would have someone else there...that didn't happen. We were notified 5 minutes before they were set to arrive that no one was coming. Another time someone showed up over an hour early at 6:00 in the morning. The daily list of to do's was not done 80% of the time. Most of the time house rules were ignored. When we were extremely frustrated I reached back out to Jen which she always said her door was open and left 5 messages and finally she called TJ to tell him "to take care of the issue" She refused to contact me because all she did was sign people up. Well that is different than she claims when coming into your home asking for your business and money. The communication between everyone was really terrible. Not impressed with their professionalism either. I would not recommend them. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the caregiver we had was at least friendly and attentive to my family member, but if this was based on the business and management team they would get a ZERO! Overall we are extremely unhappy and will not be using them moving forward. Its a shame that it is so hard to find good care for family that needs it.

As their name suggests, they are a group of physicians who make house calls and it is wonderful, especially when you are really sick. I have a terrible immune system, so the very last thing I want to do every month when I need to see my family doctor is go to my family doctor's office and expose myself to every single germ in their office, especially during flu season. My family doctor comes to my house where I don't need to think about extra germs. Recently I was really sick and needed extra care, including chest x-rays and everything I needed came to me. VPA made it happen. I had a chest x-ray while sitting on my sofa in my living room. With my old family physician, I would have needed to bundle up, have my husband take time off work, go to the hospital and expose myself to more germs while taking time away from resting. VPA is not the doctor for everyone, obviously, but for those special patients who do need that extra care, there is nothing like seeing that little white car pull up in your driveway.
