Their ingredients and recipes are GREAT! Now if they could send me all of the ingredients, or,…read moremost recently, the right ingredients, I'd give them 5 stars. But I have complained about this issue numerous times (yes, I've been missing ingredients numerous times), yet I always get the same reply: they will alert the proper team. Frankly I think this problem needs to be escalated*. I order Green Chef every week and I'm on the verge of quitting because of this missing/wrong ingredient problem. This week was pretty much the straw that broke the camel's back: they sent an entirely wrong set of ingredients for a meal we did not order, but LABELED as the meal we did order. WHAT? If you count on them for meals, it is TERRIBLY annoying to have missing or completely wrong ingredient, especially when they are ingredients that we can't just run out and get locally. I know good help is hard to find, but they need to train better or try harder to find better help. When I subscribed to Sun Basket and then Blue Apron, it was very, very rare that I was ever missing an ingredient. *They do issue a refund when ingredients are missing, but that's not the point.

I paid an extra $2 per serving to sub Green Chef's ground beef for turkey. But the new version is…read moredry and flavorless. I call fowl! Green Chef's "organic" ground beef is greasy and doesn't meat my expectations. But Whole Foods, Aldi and Kroger also sell ground beef labeled organic that isn't. Check out Cornucopia's Organic Beef Report for details. I never eat farmed salmon after reading "The New Fish". But paying Green Chef an extra $10 per serving for wild salmon left me reeling! Switching to chicken that's inferior, parched and takes longer to cook is repre'hen'sible. The turkey is the final straw. Between chemicals, overripe or underripe veggies, missing ingredients and inedible meat, I'm done. It's clucking ridiculous to overpay for poor quality. Good riddance Green Chef!
