We started the process intending to…read moretake things slow, but quickly found our ideal home within days of securing our realtor and needed preapproval fast. As veterans, we initially pursued a preapproval through USAA, but unfortunately didn't receive the level of follow-up we expected. Our realtor recommended a few lenders, and Brendon immediately stood out. Not only was he quick to act, but he was personable and genuinely invested in helping us from the very beginning. As first-time homebuyers, we had a lot of questions, and no question ever felt too small. He took the time to walk us through everything in detail, whether it was a quick 10-minute call or a longer conversation. He was incredibly responsive (often replying within hours) and set clear expectations throughout the process. As veterans, it meant a lot to work with someone who truly understood the VA loan process and could guide us confidently. One thing that really stood out was how he supported us when we submitted our offer. He personally connected with the seller's side to vouch for our financing and strengthen our offer. We truly believe that level of advocacy helped solidify our offer being accepted. The transition between Brendon and Josh on the Neighborhood Loans team was seamless, and both of them checked in regularly to make sure we felt informed and supported. Their level of service made what could have been a stressful experience feel smooth and manageable from start to finish, and we were able to close on time without any surprises. Bonus points for the handwritten notes, thoughtful closing gift, and the personal touches throughouht. They truly made the experience memorable. We would recommend Brendon and his team to anyone, especially first-time homebuyers, without hesitation.

I always felt confident that the process was on track and that I was well informed about what to expect next. For anyone looking for a loan officer in the Chicago area, I would highly recommend Jeanne. Her expertise, responsiveness, and dedication to her clients are second to none. -Paul L.

This being our first purchase we had no idea what to expect, having met with Mike before we even made an offer we were educated as to what to expect in the process and what Mike and his team offered us. We felt far more confident from that initial meeting and knew we had the right team behind us. Throughout the process Mike kept us up to date regarding interest rate movements and helped us secure a very good rate. Let me start out by saying Thank you, Gavin, for all your dedicated help and countless emails I…read moresent you over these two years.  My husband and I started working with Gavin roughly two years ago, wow did we not really know how bad of shape our credit and financial situation was until meeting with Gavin. Gavin assisted us with developing a plan to achieve our goal of being a homeowner and also understanding how to pay off the house in a 15-20 year time frame vs. the traditional 30-year loan. I would have never considered it, but when he ran the numbers on a few houses to show us the price difference, it's completely the way we will be going. Sadly, we have relocated due to our job to a state where Gavin can not be our lender at this time, but I would never be in the position to purchase our dream home without his dedicated guidance.  Take the time to listen and take notes when talking with Gavin, you will come out ahead of the game just like we did, you have to remain focused! Gavin also set us up with a credit repair company that was amazing, they rocked it with getting mistakes corrected or even the deletions that were old that were still impacting our credit score. We are now in a position to purchase a house without having any PMI!  Gavin, Jereme and I appreciate the service you provided to us from the bottom of our heart! Keep up the good work and your passion for helping others is your true character.

She made corrections if needed. It took a lot to get to her but, once I did her customer service was exemplary. I can't rave about her enough. We had a beautiful relationship over the phone. This is so important in the banking field to build up a relationship. This also ment so much to me. Now, Freedom Mortgage sold me to a mortgage company called Selena Mortgage. I was with Freedom Mortgage for almost 9 years. Nobody understands this including the supervisor that helped me monthly. Apparently Freedom Mortgage does not do their homework to make sure their customers are moved to a reputable company. Selena Mortgage is a disputable company that has less than one star rating. The reviews that I have read is all true and horrifying. I received one letter from Selene Mortgage that was contradictory. I immediately set it to Freedom Mortgage. Anyone who would read this would see a big red flag. Freedom Mortgage did absolutely nothing. It went to my supervisor who sent it to her supervisor. They just do not care and swept this under the rug as if it did not exist. This is my home that we are talking about. You do not play games concerning a mortgage. They brushed this off as if it was nothing. How does a mortgage co. do this to any of their customers? This is now the last week of February. How do I pay my mortgage? I i have never received a coupon book or an acct. number. There is no customer service and nobody to talk to with this new mortgage co. I am sure they are in touch with people there. I am sure they have phone numbers that would help and they do not. I will tell you as soon as Selene Mortgage gets information about you, they start with the robo calls which are illegal. I have blocked them. Nice welcoming, right. What does one do when your old mortgage company does this to their customers? It is beyond emotional and heartbreaking. I have never seen such an I don't care attitude from the higher ups in this company. They leave you hanging. How they sleep at night is beyond me knowing how they hurt so many and literally destroy their lives. It is unconscionable especially in this economy. Are they that out of touch with reality and the real world? It is beyond imaginable how Freedom Mortgage does this. How does one get back to them and away from Selene Mortgage?
