Good range of DIY products. Similar range to B and Q but sometimes a bit more expensive. You can also find things here that you were looking for at B and Q. Staff friendly and a handy location for Sainsburys etc read more

The staff are really knowledgable and helpful and will do there best to help in any way they can. They have helped me out on nemerous occasions when I have come in here looking for obscure sized batteries or DIY equipment. As well as DIY equipment they also sell such things as batteries, lights, kitchen equipment, household goods and they also cut keys. Their prices are really reasonable, often cheaper than the big DIY shops.

What does surprise me is how they manage to translate some of the customer requests into any form of sense?! If you've ever stood in the envariable, short but fast moving, queue to pay you'll have heard it :O) There's no hard sell here and they'll always be my preference as opposed going to some large faceless DIY store...and even if they are not cheaper (which they are in most cases!) when you take into account the fuel for getting to Weston or Bridgwater your better off going here instead....parking being the only problem if you want to buy anything large/heavy/awkward. Good luck to Darren/Phil/Kelly & Denise and hope they keep doing what they're doing! Mark PS: Why do pensioners HAVE to go shopping at weekends since they really should leave these days for those of us who work all week and who's time is precious & (mostly) we know what we want to buy..rest assured you won't see me shopping at weekends when I hit 66 :o)

(Yes, it is better than Paderno AND Barb's Kitchen.) You can get good quality S hooks here for your pots and pans; something that is hard to find in North American kitchen stores -- that is because we rarely get European quality items. Great selection of kitchen scale (albeit expensive) and molds for chocolate and cookie cutters. Pastry chefs would not be disappointed. I wish my luggage could fit the 8" round cake liners. Superb customer service. After endless food photography and scenery shots, I ran out of memory on my SD card, they carry that as well. If only we weren't travelling on backpacks... 160 Canadian dollars later, yikes. My husband should have hidden my credit card in a jar of lard, but the new additions are going to be well loved. What a lovely shop!
A hardware store to satisfy any cook or handyman…read more This place seems to have just about everything you can think of, in fact, I can't think of anything else it could have. Even that slightly sawdust scent that goes with hardware stores. Now, this store does not carry the reputation of two that I have reviewed before. But if I lived in Wimborne, I'd be a happy camper. Collandars, graters, knives, tupperware, caddies, drainers, cookwareand then hammers, nails, screws, and thingummies. They also do garden furniture, indeed, there was a very rustic looking one on display outside. I really could have spent ages snooping around, but hey ho, time is the master of our lives. No fifth star because there seems nowher to park, so how are you going to lug your goods to the car?

What lets the store down is that, as others have found out, you can check stock online, but when you get to the store you find that there is no stock because they haven't updated their system. This can be very annoying! I recently saw there were 4 concrete fence repair spurs in stock so I went to buy them. When I got there, there were none! Also, when I asked, they wouldn't order them into stock so I could buy them, but only suggested I pay for delivery or drive to Bridgwater to get them myself. Went elsewhere for better service!

Upstairs they have bathroom and bedroom fittings that are very contemporary and modern. Also they have general vases and lampshades that are cheap.
