A truly fantastic garden centre. It's got a fabulous range of plants but also lots of very interesting crafts, tools and other things to buy that don't fall within that same standard range you get from a lot of garden centres. The Christmas displays and products are a highlight too and they make a real effort to display them in a really enjoyable way. And if you've got a houseplant addiction, this is probably the best place in the area to visit as the choice and quality is superb. The commitment to sustainability and giving customers the information they need is also amongst the best I've ever seen in the garden centre. But it's the staff that truly make it a great place to shop - very knowledgeable, excellent help if you have any issues at all with anything you buy and just generally enjoyable to meet. Special shout out to Adam for his expert knowledge in helping an ailing plant I had. Yes it's not the cheapest but it's worth the little bit extra as everything is such high quality that it's bound to last. They also guarantee their plants which a lot of places now don't. read more

Fabulous place with helpful and pleasant staff in the garden centre, shop and cafe. We enjoy all three areas. The cafe especially has a friendly feel. There is a nice range of birthday cards etc, and it's open until 6pm with loads of parking. The Christmas displays are wonderful and we make a point of going there each year just for them. It really does make Christmas magical. read more

I come here quite often with my mum as she buys lots of bulbs and plants for her garden. I have purchased some compost here and the staff were more than happy to pick up the heavy bag for me and take it to my car. I also bought some lawn seed and was advised very well on which would be the best type and how much I would need etc. There is ample free parking outside and a lovely coffee shop which sells a wide variety of cakes and sandwiches and hot food, very reasonably priced. There is a small farmshop on the side of the coffee shop selling local organic produce-a little expensive but you know that is local and organic at the end of the day so you pay for what you get. At christmas time it is like a winter wonderland in this garden centre as the whole building is completley transformed into a christmas fantasy. All I can say is you would have to see it to believe it!!! read more

Apple tree coffee shop. the other day i called in for a late lunch and was really encouraged by the good personal service. it is always good when one is able to tweak the menu. i then noted their excellent offer of a slice of cake with any hot drink at just the cost of the cake. thus my snack became a small meal including a pot of tea. the whole centre is worth visiting. the farm shop has very nutritous foods. their seasonal displays are excellent for a family outing.something for everyone. global nomad read more
