Inside the Halfords store there are two levels to it and the staff are helpful when I have asked them for something. They sell things for your car as well as car roof boxes that they will fit for you and bikes as well as car seats for children and in the summer they do camping sets. I asked if they could find out if another store had that item and they said "no". I asked another member of staff to help me find an item and he rolled his eyes when I asked him if he could take me to it. I drove to Stratford-on-Avon where a member of staff was very helpful. He looked it up on the system & apparently Solihull did in fact have numerous hooks and so did Evesham. So I drove to Evesham this evening & bought them as time was of the essence. Solihull needs to train its staff in customer service and IT!

They did come close to it both times so would recommend this to others. The garden centre section usually has some great priced plants, pots and trees in so that to is always worth a quick look. The staff really do go the extra mile to, I am not the most clued up on things I need for around the house - how to get gloss paint off the brick walls!! Locating stuff in this store is abit hit and miss and each time I go in here I have trouble locating a member of staff to help if I need it, once located usually the problem is sorted and item is found but they dont seem to have many staff on at one time ,either that or they are all hiding in the back.

Jeffries is a huge hardware business that stocks all the standard nuts and bolts plus a huge selection of outdoor planting, perfect for this time of year, and has a large gardening section at the rear of the store. Recently I was after some fence protector and after a visit to a huge DIY shop felt frazzled by the choice in products, colours and price. One trip to Jeffries and I got exactly what I needed, no fuss, a great price and I parked my car at the rear of the store to load up. I also recently discovered they do key cutting. They stock a wide selection of pet products. The beauty of this place is that they've always got what you need and know exactly what you are asking for. On the very slim chance they don't stock what you are after they know where you should go to get it. Amazing staff and service.

If they don't have what you want then the staff can tell you where to get it. The shop is mainly for people who want to buy anything to do with DIY for their home. I came in here in search of a few things for home and, I don't mean to offend anybody by stereotyping, as a woman in a hardware store I didn't know where to look first. The staff were friendly and polite enough however to put me in the right direction. If you need any hardware for your home and garden then it's worth giving this store a visit.
