The outside of the shop is a carnival of household items which include, bins, brushes, flower pot men, hedgehog shoe cleaners, plants, heaters, forks, green houses, tools the list goes on The inside is stacked high with products and you are sure to leave with more that you came in for Underwoods has been there for many, many years and I hope it stays there for many years still as it a welcome change to Homebase and B&Q. When you walk in, there are hundreds of rolls of carpets to be viewed, as well as books full of sample squares of carpets that come in various colours, and there is also linolium and tiling. There are aisles with giant rolls of carpets to feel and view, and each carpet has the price very clearly marked out per square metre. At the back of the store, there are always hundreds of cut offs or discontinued rolls of carpets going to bargain prices. Staff are incredibly helpful, I had no idea how to measure a carpet, so I went up there with the measurements of my rooms and they sorted it all out for me. They also rolled the carpets up carefully and put them in the back of the car for me too. Excellent service and I will definately go again if I need new carpets!
