Shower is clean, has good water pressure and gives soap.
    Hannah B.

It is a very easy and pleasant stay. The people in the front are nice and helpful towards customers. The room was very clean and had everything that I needed like a clean fridge and a iron plus a desk which was very helpful because of social distance working. Bed and pull out bed is comfortable. Bathroom is roomy and clean and the room just gives a welcoming feeling which is appreciated. I would recommend Home2 for anyone looking for a comfortable stay.

    Permanent stains on the carpet

As Hilton Diamond members, we stay at a lot of Hilton properties and Home2Suites is one of our "go to" brands but this hotel was a great disappointment. The one thing that worked well and efficiently was the online reservation system. We were able to secure a room on the top floor. However, when we arrived, the room was dirty and the furniture damaged. I am attaching pictures below of the stains on the carpet and the ripped sofa. I did not expect that from a Hilton property, especially since the hotel is relatively new. The hotel was crowded in spite of covid, so we didn't think we had a lot of options to switch rooms. There was also a number of dogs we saw when we carried our stuff in, lots of big dogs in the lobby. I admit, it was relatively quiet. We were able to get rest. Parking was free and convenient. The hotel is easy to find and close to the freeway (10). We picked the location because of its proximity to "plantation alley" and cajun country. It's within a 30 minutes drive of Oak Alley, Laura plantation and Houmas house. Rooms were affordable (I guess you get what you pay for?) Interaction with the staff was fine, unremarkable but not a problem. I took away another star for the breakfast. I understand that we are living through a pandemic but most other hotels we stayed in during our drive through 7 states still managed to provide a satisfying breakfast, either by serving food to order or setting up the food in such a way that guests can maintain social distancing while serving themselves. If this isn't feasible in a budget hotel, at least a variety of options should be included in the take away bags. I feel like breakfast is part of what we pay for at a Home2suites and a bag with water and a granola bar is not breakfast! Other Hilton hotels provide yoghurts, juices and even breakfast sandwiches to heat up in your room in their bags. With all the other options in the area, I cannot recommend this location.

Big, comfy king size bed with super soft sheets and pillows. LOVED it.

Excellent hotel all around. This location is brand new so everything is still very clean and organized. There is an obvious attention to detail here. This is an exceptionally great Home2 Suites by Hilton location.

This is my first stay in a Home2 Suites by Hilton. I am very pleased to have found this place and had the opportunity to stay here. They gave me an exceptional rate. The rooms are super large, furnished with a kitchen area, living room area, bedroom area and of course the bathroom. The place is super clean. It's also well furnished, from a full size fridge, a large microwave oven, dishes and a dishwasher. The beds are super comfortable, the sofa has a pull out bed as well, and you have a 42" tv to watch. Free WiFi that's not slow. The front desk clerk Reide was super nice, friendly and very polite and courteous. I'd be glad to recommend this place to everyone. They serve breakfast until 10 am. It has a nice gym, a patio with a fireplace to sit and relax by.

My first impression was how clean everything looked. Not only did it feel clean but it also smelt clean. The staff was very friendly, attentive and quick to check us in. Hot items were hot and cold items stayed in an accessible fridge. If I'm ever in this area I would definitely stay here again.

When asked if the reservation could be transferred to a different location, I was told no as the locations are independently owned. They had checked a neighboring hotel but they were sold out. That left me with the choice of either enduring cold showers or try to scramble and find another hotel on a Friday night at a higher rate. Financially, the choice was made for me. As I was leaving the next morning, my cooler spill and there was ice and water that I cleaned up with the extra towels. There was housekeeping staff member in the hallway and I told her what had happened. She said that was ok as the floor would be mopped and that anyway it was not her assigned room. When I returned to my room later that evening, my card key didn't work. So I go down to the front desk and am given new cards. I return to the room to find that it had not been cleaned. The wet towels from cleaning up the spill were still piled up on the floor, the beds were not made and trash was still in the room. I return to the desk and informed the gentleman that my room had not been cleaned and that I needed towels. He proceeded to key something in and then said there was no housekeeping staff on site. It took 10 minutes to get towels! To add to that, the window shade didn't work so I woke up each morning to bright sunshine. They offered a 20% discount on the room rate which was an insult to injury. Should they have even stayed open with no hot water and with a breakfast bar with hot cooked items? Sanitation?

I appreciated some of the points that the mgr brought up, and I concede that my review was a second hand account. The staff did make an effort to get the family to stop the children from stomping and jumping, and I appreciate that the staff was busy with arrivals, being a few days from Memorial Day weekend. The communication fail in this instance was when your staff told my husband there was "nothing they could do and the people paid their money the same as him". At that point, he felt no help was coming. He had a choice to make leave now and try to get a good nights sleep at another place, or stay and endure the noise another night ...he chose to leave. I think if the management had said something to the effect of "we have spoken to them and they said they would stop, so for now my hands are tied until after 10 PM. but if you hear more noise after 10 PM which is our designated quiet time, I will be glad to ask them to check out". I know that sounds oversimplified, but sometimes it's the simple validation of somebody's frustration that makes all the difference. Lesson learned on both sides

It has a gorgeous desk study area with a partition between it and the bedroom area. The bed is comfy, not too firm and the room is immaculate. From check-in to getting settled, I can tell they take great pride in this hotel's appearance. Breakfast is free and so is the 24/7 complimentary coffee but the craft beers, wines and cocktails are not lol. Overall, I'd definitely recommend coming here. There are plenty of dining options nearby with a KFC right next door. Also, there is a Tanger shopping mall across the highway.

My room was not clean when I arrive. My party and I did not complain. We went to the store and bought bleach and lysol to clean the restroom ourselves. We threw our towels on the floor the next day as we thought the room would be replenished and cleaned the next day by the cleaning service. To our surprise when we returned to our room at midnight Saturday, the room was how we left it Saturday morning at 8:00 am. Moreover, there was no parking. We had to park away from the hotel and carry our things to the room. Furthermore, they could not pull my membership up to give me credit for my stay. Horrible experience. Rather than clean and restock your room like most suites, the staff place your towels on the outside of your door on the floor-yes the floor (see pic).

We moved from…read morethe SpringHill suites right next door because one of the staff members was really rude and breakfast was always late. The staff over here was very welcoming and really made us feel at home. When we first got into the room, they called to make sure everything was okay. When we went three days without a room clean (late sleepers), they left us fresh towels on our door. When our card stopped working twice, they offered to bring it up to us. When the people on the third floor were obnoxiously loud, they moved us to the fourth four with no hesitation. If this was a review for the staff (including the housekeepers), they'd get 5 stars. The room that we stayed in had two queen beds that were a little squeaky. Definitely not as comfortable or luxurious as the SpringHill suites but the pillows were very comfortable. There was a flat-screen TV with plenty of channels including Starz and HBO, a comfortable reading chair, and a full kitchen stocked with a pot, a skillet, microwave, dishwasher (and soap), a trash can, coffee pot, paper towels, utensils and an apartment sized refrigerator. Everything worked well and we had no overall problems with any appliances. Our problems began when we went to heat up some food in the microwave. It had not been cleaned all the way and there was food splatter on the back which was pretty gross. The two forks that we puled out to eat with still had food on them from the previous guests. The shower and outside of the dishwasher both need a really good scrub down as there was grime on both that made me feel a little yucky. The water pressure in the shower wasn't that great and we had to wait about 3-5 minutes for hot water at about 5 AM in the morning. The curtains did NOT keep the sunlight out and it really stunk because we were on vacation and we had to use our pillows to help. If you're wanting a nice quiet place to sleep, ask for a room on the fourth floor AWAY from the elevators. You'll thank me later. The breakfast was decent. Typical hotel breakfast with powdery eggs, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, some weird kind of egg and cheese combo on a biscuit, fresh fruit and two different kinds of juices. It was very cool of them to offer to-go breakfasts (cereal, milk, granola bar and an apple) for the people who are up and gone before breakfast. The absolute WORST part of this hotel was the WI-FI. It was horrendous. On both the second and and fourth floors, we struggled to keep even two bars. It is definitely not enough to stream a movie on Netflix or Hulu and was barely enough to let me post this review. It continuously disconnected because of the signal strength. I was really disappointed. I even went and tried to sit outside on the patio and....nothing. I also learned quickly that the Ethernet cable did not work. Overall, this was a decent hotel with free breakfast, comfortable beds (for the most part), good AC, awesome amenities, but with really poor WI-FI. I don't know if I'd stay here long term again as I really need my Netflix and Hulu, but the service was spot-on.
