I use S & J, in spite of the fact that they are all the way across the country from me because: They are completely competitive in price with anyone -including the largest companies They pay attention to details -they recognize problems when they occur and fix them. I've had one large company print jackets WITH THE TEMPLATE LAYER STILL ON! 1000 CDs showed up with the word "TEMPLATE" on top of the art on the front! Are they even looking at these jobs? I can't imagine this type of error ever coming out of S&J. They actually look at the work and will question anything that looks odd to them. Personal attention -I deal with the owner, Jeff Fravela, who actually works on my jobs. He calls me when there's a problem and will work with me to make the job right. (Some of these big companies will make you reload all your files when all that has to be done is nudging an element over a pixel or a layer turned off) Jeff takes care of the simple stuff that I can't believe some of these other companies will throw back in my lap. There was only one lady working and she was just finishing up a bother session. We got in only a couple minutes late which wasn't bad at all. They have many choices for backgrounds for families and for singles for kids. We had many poses to do and my nephew just got a tad anxious. The photographer was just awesome. She made the process as easy as she could and had some great ideas for fun photos! The photographer took about 20 minutes taking photos and made sure we got everything we wanted. Dan takes great passport pictures that doesn't make you look like you belong in jail. I had to get…read moremy passport renewed this year so I went the usual route for getting these passport pictures taken. UPS, Walmart, CVS. Those places must have cameras they got out of the donation boxes. Your pictures turn out hideous with all of these shadows in the wrong places that makes you look like you are 100 years old. I kept thinking, wow, this is the passport photo I have to present to the immigration officer in another Country for the next 10 years! They would surely look at me funny every time. I refused to have that hideous picture pasted in my passport for the next10 years so I did a Google search for photographers who took passport photos. This is how I found Dan Harris. I also discovered that there are not too many photographers who take passport pictures so I felt very fortunate that I found Dan, just in the nick of time. The quality of the pictures that Dan took compared to the UPS ones were like night and day. I looked so elegant and regal in the picture Dan took, even with the new rules of not showing teeth when you smile. ha! Dan told me I didn't need to look angry like how the lame brain people at the UPS store interpreted the new rules about not smiling and not showing your teeth. Dan encouraged me to do a half smile with my lips closed. The pictures turned out phenomenal. And to think I paid $10 for that hideous set of pictures at the UPS Store. It is well worth the cost to have your passport pictures taken by a professional photographer like Dan since this is a picture that you will have to show the whole world when you travel, and that is the picture they will also show on the big screen if, God forbid, something bad were to ever happen to you while visiting one of these foreign countries. haha!! It is also a picture that you will be looking at for the next 10 years!
