They have been calling me most every day for 2 weeks saying they are picking up my machine due to inactive insurance. When I call they say "Oh, we see you have insurance". I have been an Apria client for…read more6 years, primarily because my insurance company recommended them as a source for CPAP supplies. In October 2019, I ordered supplies and sent them a check for about $36; 30 days later, I called and asked why I had not received my supplies. They told me they had mis-applied my check to someone else's account but it was straightened out and they would ship me the supplies. They did - but first charged me on a credit card they had on file. Numerous phone calls and many hours in conversations later, a CSR acknowledged their error, told me they would send me a refund. I did receive a refund -- and a bill for $36. Back on the phone, this time they said they did not receive my check (although they had the date, amount and check number). Arranged a copy of the check, sent via email to Apria. Then last night at 8:43 PM, received another dunning phone call from Apria. I refused to talk to them. Prepared to send a certified letter to Apria CEO Dan Stark but called first and found they have my account at zero balance. Today's date is February 5, 2020. I strongly advise against doing business with Apria Healthcare. Over the years, I have consistently dealt with CSRs whose accents were so thick and made them unintelligible that I literally had to ask for someone whom I could understand. The bottom line is that they do not do what they say they are going to do. They would tell me whatever I wanted to hear to get me off the line and then undoubtedly return to more important tasks, such as reading comic books or filing their nails.
