At first, I was ecstatic, I liked so much of what I was looking and running my hands over. The pieces: stunning. The styles? Well let's just say that I contemplated blowing my perfect credit score over them. I was there for 5-10 minutes. Two people sat at the desk in the back. Neither glanced my way, not even a head nod. I guess I don't look like the sectional buying type, or perhaps it was because I was with a friend and we were chatting... I would have continued to hang around to ask a question or two, but once I realized that the cigarette smoke was circulating because of the two of them, a wave of disgust engulfed me. Outside of the fact that there's a bylaw that prohibits smoking inside businesses in Vancouver, the idea that my furniture would reek when I got it home disgusted me enough to shudder and leave.

I liked that the staff gave me a lot of practical advice and did not pressure me to buy anything. They were willing to answer all my questions and genuinely wanted to assist in finding the right fit for my personal style. They also have a wide selection of lifestyle and home products. As an aspiring home cook, I couldn't resist buying a set of the stone dinnerwear from Portugal. Not only are they gorgeous, but they're also oven-safe, dishwasher-safe, and doesn't get hot when I pull it out of the microwave. They were very appreciative of my business and helped carry my items to my car. I was able to order the custom products exactly as I envisioned, with a choice of wood, finish and size to fit my rooms. The items were meticulously wrapped for transportation and arrived on time. The quality of the furniture is evident. Blair even followed up to make sure everything was good. Well made items on the higher end in price and finishing, these pieces will last. Unfortunately while downstairs an over the dining room table light that was basically a lit circle with a long skinny lit rod going through it was about to slip off and luckily my gf was there to help try to put it back but had a hell of a time balancing the darn thing! A very rude salesman came running over and raised his voice at her saying "why would you touch that?!" My poor gf tried in disbelief to explain what was happening but the man was so rude he didn't even apologize! We left in disbelief that an employee would react so unprofessionally! I believe that employees are just as important as the brand or company they represent and this was in no way reflective of the beautiful furnishings inside the store. This is why I'm giving them one star. An apology would have been nice.
