I'm giving two stars, because possibly, they are fine landscapers, but their business practices/ethics leave a lot to be desired. After an initial consultation, I was told it would be 3 weeks before the crew could help with my job. No problem, I said: they seemed very knowledgable. At week 3, upon no word from the team, I called Susie at Home Helpers and was told, "We'll be there next Monday." Awesome. I had a houseful of guests arriving that Tuesday, and the yard was in sorry shape: I had purposefully *not* worked on it, as I anticipated leaving it to the experts. But, on Sunday afternoon -- less than 18 hours before they were supposed to show on Monday morning -- Susie called to cancel. Not only would they not be able to help with my yard in an ongoing way, as discussed, but they also would not be showing up the next day. I begged, can you at least fulfill your agreement to show up tomorrow? No, Susie regretted, she and her team could not. Susie was apologetic, certainly, but had she really wanted to make it right, she and her team should have, at minimum, given me a half-day of help as agreed. As it was, I lost 4 weeks of late-Spring, prime-time gardening, only to be bailed on before having guests. Ugh.
