I hired Green Clean to clean my HVAC duct work. They left more dirt in my home than they took out…read morewith their vacuum system. Everything was covered in dust. They are a disaster. They cleaned the dryer vent too and the close by trees, lawn and plants are all covered in lint. They told me my HVAC unit had mold in it, when they probably presented me with a photo of someone else's unit.

Do not contact this company for AC tune-ups! This company was a disaster to work with. We contacted…read morethem to send out someone for an AC tune-up and they sent someone for air duct cleaning? The guy that showed up for the air duct cleaning service was just as confused as to why this was even scheduled in the first place. That should have been the first red flag but unfortunately, we reached out again to try to schedule the correct service (AC tune-up). The scheduler confirmed they would change what was on the scheduling request but once the confirmation email was sent, the air duct cleaning was STILL ON THERE!! We had to contact them for a third time to clarify that we ONLY need AC tune-up service. Finally, an HVAC tech came to the house and spent a few hours conducting an "AC tune-up" service. At the end of the service, he noted that we needed refrigerant and put new refrigerant in. In passing, he noted that the capacitor "might" need to be fixed but said that we are all set with only having refrigerant and left. Fast forward a week later and the entire AC unit breaks down. The temperature inside is hotter than it is outside, and the AC is not working. We contacted another company, as we couldn't trust "Green Clean NC" since they obviously didn't conduct an AC tune-up correctly, otherwise this would have been caught ahead of time instead of it breaking during the hottest week in April (90+ degree days). We had the new company's tech come out same day (which included a hefty emergency price) and he found very quickly that we needed a new compressor and a new capacitor. My question is, how did the Green Clean NC AC tech not find this issue? So, we contacted Green Clean NC and tried to speak with a manager. Instead, they made us talk to the tech that did the work in the first place and the conversation didn't go anywhere. The tech did not do his job correctly and we are requesting a full refund as now we are suffering with NO AC in 90-degree weather. Very disappointed.

They lure customers through fake posts on neighborhood listservs or Facebook groups, claiming to…read moreoffer a "group rate" for dryer vent cleaning. Once in your home, they upsell unnecessary services like HVAC cleaning warranties. The technician finished everything in about an hour, which seemed suspicious. When I checked the work later, it was clear nothing was done to professional standards. There was no business name on the vehicle. The only way I identified the company was through my Venmo payment, which went to EY Best Solution, later traced to Egad Cleaning. They travel from state to state and strongly prefer cash or checks, discouraging Venmo. Thankfully, I used Venmo, disputed the charge, and won. Afterward, they even called me claiming it was "unprofessional" to dispute the charges--unbelievable. Avoid this company at all costs.

Bait and switch scammers. I saw a post on Facebook about vent cleaning. My husband had been…read moresuffering from allergy problems so I wanted it. They told me it would be $199 but when it was all said and done I signed a payment plan for $145 a month for 12 months plus a down payment of $252 just to get them out of my house late on a school night. My landlady later told me they overcharged and asked if they would give me a discount if l paid it all off right away. She also said all vents have black mold. Turns out they were reported on BBB with the same story as mine. I also reported them to Sunbit (their credit account), the police station, stopped payment through my credit union, my Attorney General, and the consumer (I can't remember the name but it's official). They called me last night begging me to take bank my report from sunbit, arguing that they did a service, that they have thousands of customers including companies, and offered to refund me the whole amount. I told them to let me off the phone but the guy kept talking and asking what they did wrong. I said they were reported on BBB. I told them the fb account that contacted me blocked me when I asked to pay it all off at once, and I told them they used bait and switch. Then I finally said they could talk to my lawyer and hung up on them. I reported this call to the police and Sunbit as well. This offer was also illegal.
