It's almost unbelievable you would ever see some of these items in Youngstown, but there they are, and at a price you can actually afford. What makes Mel's Habitat different from other local consignment shops is that it caters to individuals. You won't find many things for the person who wants to look like everyone else; but you WILL find that one of a kind piece that you refuse to buy, can't stop obsessing over, and return as soon as she opens the doors so you can bring that beauty home. They were friendly and helpful. The clothes were arranged by size and color, and are spread out, not tightly hung together. The items I looked at were gently used. I found a pair of like-new black dress sandals for $12 that I'll wear next spring. I considered a like-new pair of cowboy boots for $20, but I have a pair that I need to wear more. I tried on a pretty dress by Banana Republic for $12 that will look better on someone else. They had accessories, too. This is a lovely store in a strip mall with a parking lot.
