I was determined to clean all the Stolpersteine (Memorial blocks for NS victims) in the Knesebeckstraße. I went in to the shop and was immediately greeted warmly. In my very basic German, I described what I was trying to do. The woman who helped me was incredibly nice, patient and very encouraging of my efforts! I walked out with sponges, polishing cloths and metal polish. I had to return for more supplies two days later, and again had a wonderful experience. If you are in Berlin, need a hardware store, and want an old fashioned experience including personal service, C Adolph is THE place. Outstanding!

And they have every possible garden tools covered. The garden section took more than half of the store, it's really enjoyable to have a walk there. For plant lover like me, this is a great place to be. You can also find some stuff, like pet food, aquarium, small animals, wall paint colours, bathroom, kitchen and so on. Info center just around the corner if you need help. The staff are friendly and helpful. It offers great parking place as well.
