The owners are Harley and her mother. The response includes an OUTRIGHT LIE about any refusal to pay extra. In fact it was never ever even a discussion except to ask about it at checkout the first time i had a sudden increase in price, and the least of my concern. Lets get something VERY CLEAR. The extra charge started to appear 3 appointments in and was for "extra color on a single color application. Not for any sort of special effects. I get root color. I got highlights once on my 2nd visit. Never once any special effects. Its $10 big deal doesnt break the bank , was the last of my concerms but its the PRINCIPLE. when color is left piled in the bowl obviously she is mixing too much and overcharging me. Its completely normal to think thats advantageous towards the customer. What started as me coming on here to give an honest review of someone who completely messed up my hair has now turned into complete FALSEHOODS by the salon. I am floored and may consider action against them. Why not just be professional and admit the screw up? I went on other review sites after the dishonest response to take a look and this is their normal response to a bad review. In fact someone else got an even more outrageous response than I did. It may have been better for Harley and her mother to reach out when they knew I was not happy and offer a solution to my ruined hair. And Harley KNEW! We had many discussions about the color not matching well mostly being much too dark, and Harley literally blamed me each time saying I asked for what I got. Shes intimidating, loud and almost belligerent once she gets started. So its hard to talk to her. There, I said it. She did not take any feedback well in person and definitely not with a less than stellar review. I never liked her as a person ( gossiping about all her other clients) but I kept going... I have no idea why. Thats on me. But this last visit on Dec 18 broke the camels back and her "manager" response to my review is beyond ludicrous and reprehensible. Outright lies from someone who claimed.to not even know who I was with her first (and now deleted) reponse to my review. I have had to go to another salon for color correcting which will involved a total of three color appointments to fix the muliple color mistakes. My new salon owner wanted to know who did this to me (and that my haircut was also a disaster which I had also been trying to correct with Harley) and I told her I want to keep that to myself but now I have changed my mind. I am completely disgusted at the outright lies in the response but not surprised. I myself made the decision to seek out a new stylist on facebook but did not intend to cancel the upcoming January appointment with Harley. She saw my post and sent me a nasty text from a "burner number" and dropped me. No discussion EVER took place about the extra charges. Unbelievable the complete lies. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Harley just could not get my red hair color right after 6 months of me going there. I have really no idea why I kept going back except I was really hoping we could get it figured out. I had my formula from my previous hair stylist so she could research the conversion to her brands. My roots literally glowed after this last time right before christmas and it was extremely embarrassing. I dodged all holiday pictures. My roots dont even come close to matching the rest of my hair! She would ask ME what to do when we discussed it which was at every single visit. I am not the trained professional. She made me feel bad for discussing my hair color. She complained to me. But the thing that bothered me the most was that she badmouthed other clients non-stop while doing my hair. I mean the whole time. I'm absolutely certain shes badmouthing me right now since I no longer go there but to be honest based on her conversations with me, she was probably doing it while I was still her client. Every time I went in she was on time so I can give her that. Her pricing is fair until she started charging me for extra color after a couple of visits. Ive never been charged for extra color and my hair is not long so I'm not sure why and I noticed there was a lot of color left in the bowl each time, so I dont understand the extra charge of $10. I never questioned it bc of the way I knew the conversation would go. I was a client here for many months despite what the business manager says. Im sure I'm recognizable to them in the picture. I am writing this review to warn others that she is not the person to go to for red hair. By the way? On my last visit I purchased a hair anti-frizz product for $30 that is horrible but came highly recommended.

Or do you want a business that disposes of you when you present a miss for correction? You decide: My natural color is a level 5 medium brown & I've been getting highlights for years. I came to Mane with the first attached photo as my desired result & was told it could be achieved after a few sessions because there was some brassiness & damage to my hair from prior providers. The 1st session was $220. My hair's condition was already improving from my own dilgence, and continued to improve. The base color result, however, was still brassy. I contacted the colorist Jacqueline to pop by so she could see & she assessed more ash would be put in the next session's base color/lowlights. The 2nd session was $220 on 2/10/26 & my hair's condition continued to improve, but it seemed like the base color was slightly too light & I had brassiness again. I contacted Jacqueline again with photos, as I felt we were corroborating in this work in progress. I came in & Jacqueline had a later pending appointment, but this time told me that my initial photo was unachievable, that any color base would always be warm like this (no better), and that I'd have to let my natural root color grow back. Because my base results were brassy, she offered to try & put a darker ash but said she was pressed for time & I'd have to leave with wet hair. I didn't care about that, but I didn't want a rushed treatment under duress, so I suggested trying a safe purple shampoo on the base to tone out the brassiness to avoid permanence in the event of a miss & then I'd get back to her . When I texted her the next day to ask for the color she put so I could choose a blue or purple based shampoo, I was taken aback when she canceled our April appointment and told me to go elsewhere because my 'visions' were different than hers & she couldn't make me happy. This disrespectful action says : 'Thanks for the money, there is something wrong with you for not liking what I did, now go away.' no matter what flowery words are used. I countered this disrespectful message with an attempt to rectify. I texted her back to give an opportunity to get on track, but her response was a continued blow off with language that she wanted me to be happy. Canceling your client after a 2nd service where the hair color tone is brassy after the client had enough faith & respect to return, isn't the way to make your client happy. Look at the desired photo, the result a week after the 2nd paid session, my actions & the final actions of the provider. She calls the result 'Warm'. I call it 'Brassy copper'. The final question. When going to get a service, whose 'vision' counts? The payor or the recipient of the money for the service?
