ALSO I said that I would be OKAY with waiting until it is two years old and she told me that she doesn't trust me. -- Excuse me? haha - FIRST of all we are in there trying to RESCUE a dog because it's better for the dog versus support some BREEDER and just BUY a Doberman PUPPY. Which I Then would STILL wait 2 years to run with it because I'm caring, kind, and not incompetent. - It doesn't make any sense to be rude to or make it difficult for a family to a Adopt a rescue -- especially when we could easily just go out and buy one and not be told that We aren't allowed to get one under two years old. - Don't act like you are doing ME a FAVOR and I'm stressing you out by showing up to view and rescue one of The dogs. We are trying to help you guys and help and care for a dog. You guys preach how you need people who can give that breed enough exercise and exhaust it and not just keep it in a small house -- YET you tell someone who is athletic that they can't have a young dog because you don't trust them. - Everyone there was amazing EXCEPT the foreign lady with freckles who lacks common sense & people skills. ----------------------------------------------- UPDATE It has been one week exactly from the previous review (above) I'd like to share that this Rescue Organization is great and I never thought otherwise. The ONLY unprofessional and ill-mannered person was and Continues to be the lady i mentioned previously. She repeatedly Smirks while talking condescendingly over her shoulder as she Walks away from you. (She Was even called rude and told to go away by a different volunteer.) She continues to approach me later while me and a different volunteer are talking. There she waves a treat in front of the dog im viewing to adopt & throws a treat to it(which of course the dog then eats the treat). And tells me how I'm "unfit" to adopt that dog because it abruptly got up to eat the treat and "clearly has issues they don't believe I can handle"......... That's all I will say about that because even with her poor attempt to discourage me, my experience here was still great. - Today was the second time we went to view dogs at this Rescue and everyone (most) was amazing. The volunteers are both Helpful and knowledgeable. - If you are looking to adopt here it is important to know that some or even most of these dogs have been through a lot and it will take more effort and attention to care for these dogs as opposed to another dog or breed. (Which I was prepared for). The volunteers and owners of this organization make it a high priority to pair their dogs with, and only with, an appropriate/capable owner and home. - Julie is amazing and they actually have several different species of rescues there including a ZEBRA, horses, a pig etc. Clearly they are passionate about their animals and I admire that. - The Highlight of this is that we were able to leave with a beautiful addition to our family, Rigel! He loves playing, running, cuddling even too. I am thankful for Bruce, Julie and the organization for helping me.

My daughter and I went to the Fort Worth animal shelter and fell in love with a beautiful Doberman. We were informed her adoption fee was $0 (keep this in mind) and that she was heartworm positive. Despite this obstacle, my family decided that she would be a great fit and that we could work through any health issues she may have. On our way inside from the play yard to complete adoption paperwork, she had been "tagged for rescue". Despite having her with us and wanting to complete adoption paperwork, rescues trump individual adopters. Unfortunately, there was nothing the shelter could do so I left my contact information in hopes the rescue would reach out and my daughter left in tears. I kept a watch on all of the rescue pages until I found her. To my dismay, not only had I not heard from the rescue and had to submit an inquiry myself, but she was now listed for $450. That is a vast difference from the original fee of $0, especially when the shelter covers any medication she needs prior to adoption. Currently there are three other Dobermans sitting at the shelter (not good fits for my family for other reasons) so it kind of looks like this rescue cherry picks who they deem "savable" and profitable. This is very disheartening because I genuinely believe most rescues have good intentions, but this is clearly not the issue here. I think the whole situation is crappy and has definitely put a bad taste in mine and everyone else's mouth I have informed. I have since rescued another Doberman and she is the best girl. I truly believe everything happens for a reason and although my situation worked out, I feel as if this information needs to be shared.

It has been 10 days since I picked up my puppy and I have not received an email (as Victoria told me I would before I left), about what my puppy was supposedly trained on! She didn't have my email address HOWEVER, I emailed it to her the very next day bright and early and never got a response! I feel as though he wasn't trained on ANYTHING because when I picked him up, he was jumping on Victoria (what I wanted him to learn NOT to do) as well as chewing on his leash (wanted him to learn NOT to do that either!) I'm not a professional dog trainer but I know consistency is key when learning something new so it is a complete DIS-service to NOT know what to continue to train my puppy on! Also, during pick up and drop off she had just gotten home from doing one on one trainings else where so how is my puppy getting trained when she's not there?? I feel like I got gypped into the training part of the service. The pluses to this review/business is that Victoria's home is very well equipped for a dog or puppy with a double gated outside play area, plenty of toys, and just all around great environment to also get well aquatinted with other pups. She also responds very quick to text and is flexible with payments. She also makes sure your puppy's have current vaccinations to protect your puppy and others. She also offered to clip Chances nails before I left and gave him a trim around his eyes which I didn't ask for but, I appreciated it. It does take a passionate dog lover to open up your home and train a strangers dog so she gets a star for that for sure! Still up for debate if I would go back for boarding?

Victoria has officially saved my sanity--and probably my floors, rugs, furniture, and whatever…read moredignity I had left. Before she entered our lives, our sweet pup (Oakley) was essentially a tiny, furry sprinkler of pee and a landmine factory of poop. Every day was a new guessing game of "What's that smell?" and "Oh no... I just stepped in it, didn't I?" Enter Victoria, the dog whisperer / saint / wizard / actual angel disguised as a trainer. We sent our puppy to her for board and train, and I swear she sent back a completely different dog--one that pees OUTSIDE. I repeat: OUTSIDE. I don't know what kind of Hogwarts-level sorcery she pulled, but it worked. And that's just the beginning! My dog now knows how to sit like a proper lady, "leave it" like it's hot, and stay "quiet"like a ninja. The jumping to greet everyone like they owe her money? Way down. The nipping with those razor-sharp baby teeth? She taught her that humans are friends, not chew toys. That's all just bonus material at this point--my bar was literally "Please just don't treat the living room like a toilet." Victoria is amazing at what she does, truly. If you're on the fence about dog training, just do it. You might not get your life back, but you'll get your house back--and that's honestly better. THANK YOU, Victoria!
