*Optical department review *…read more Overall my experiences at the optical department have been great. Recently i ordered glasses and turns out they were too heavy. They kept slipping down my nose and gave me headache from the weight on my ears. I had them adjusted 3 times . I was even given the suggestion to by eyeglass cushions to keep them from sliding and be more comfortable on my ears. They worked until the silicone dug into my ears. I went to return them and was told the manager wasn't there and I had to come when she was there . I went back a week later, tonight 7/22/26 and the manager wasn't there. I checked in before seeing the manager was there. When it was my turn, the same young lady that turned me away previously called my name, I told her, I was back and per her I needed to see the manager. The manager had a customer, She said she'd let the manager know I was waiting. My name was called again by Eddie. I told him I was waiting to see the manager , I was seated and he told me to come up and he could assist me. He was knowledgeable, Personable and kind. While he processed my refund we talked about the FIFA World Cup. He told me he's off tomorrow but my insurance would be contacted to process the return with them tomorrow 07/23/26, since it was after 5p. He did call the manager over for an approval, she greeted me and was very nice. I appreciate the customer service he provided me. My time wasn't wasted as it was previously. Thank you Eddie!!

Whoa. I thankfully drank the 16 oz of olive oil in 15 minutes. Day 1 was HARD. I definitely felt sick as my body was working the oil through and doing its thing. Day 2-5 were challenging but I stuck to the raw fruits and veggie diet + spring water. Day 6-7 were my easiest days! I'm on my last day as I type this review. I'm proud of myself for making it through. It was definitely a challenge for me but this was a good reset for my system. My skin is glowing, bloat gone, digestive system is MOVING, I feel lighter. I remained active (yoga, walk, weight lighting) during this cleanse so by 3pm I felt ready for a nap daily due to the low calorie intake but nonetheless I didn't feel dizzy. Hot yoga felt amazing on this cleanse! If you're looking for a cleanse, check this out.

Renee, the owner, was very helpful and gave me a warm welcome when I arrived. She told me she didn't carry African net sponges as they contain plastic and are not good to use for your body, so she suggested the agave wash cloth instead. I took my time to look around the shop too and there were so many goods that I got a bit overwhelmed so I'll have to come back to peruse those more sometime :) Renee was very friendly, kind, helpful, and awesome. Her energy is warm but strong like a fire. She took the time to talk to me about her shop that she's had for over 30 years now, asked me for my name, and hoped that she'd see me again -- which she definitely will be! Lots of books, tote bags, bracelets, incense, hair products, and much more. She told me she tries to host events for the community too, apparently I just missed a sound bath that they hosted this past weekend. I'd definitely recommend stopping by and I will most certainly be back again!!

One of the best go to location for wholesale fabric, spools of ribbon, party /special occasion…read moresupplies store. I have been coming to FB since the 90s. Everything here is reasonably priced & affordable. Pretty much all of my special occasions always had something from Fabric Barn. I have purchased 100s of spools of ribbons, personalized ribbons, baby shower favors supplies, party supplies, bags, round mirrors for centerpieces, wedding accessories including my veil and (believe it or not) my wedding dress. Service is hit & miss. Depending on the clientele & how busy it is, you may get helped quickly or you have to wait until the ladies finish chatting with coworkers or clienteles. Parking is tight on weekends but the flow of customers coming and going out of FB has never made me drive around the block more than once or twice. Because FB has always had what I needed. I have never been to go downtown to the Garment District. I have been living in SoCal for 33 years! Check them out!

Missing Joan Fabrics? This is your place!…read more My partner wanted to pick up some fabric and thread. Almost all of the stores have faded away in favor of Amazon/ online. To me this was a memory of being out with my mom in the old days before Bezos. All sorts of little party favors and decorations. We walked out with thread, cloth and Mardi Gras decorations. Great service and I don't think the prices were too bad. All that was missing was mothball smells. Long Beach parking on the street, maybe a quick park by the bank across the street. ****There's a few spaces off the alley in back.

Since then I started going to another retailer due to their excellent customer service. The other day, I went to Home Depot and I was shocked when I was approached by Filbert, he asked if I needed any assistance. In 5 years, no one has ever asked me that question. In the past when I did ask for assistance, I didn't get any on numerous occasions. I knew what I wanted and where it was located so I thanked him for asking. As I was walking to the check out, I saw him and approached him and told him how I felt about this store and the customer service. We really had a good conversation about it. I did acknowledge to him the excellent customer service that he provided and thanked him for it. Nothing changed at the checkout area, 3 female associates were chatting and laughing. They were having their own conversation. Not one of them paid attention to the customers, not even a "Thank you for shopping at Home Depot."

When I complained to the manager, she told me that other customers do not mind. That was dismissive and completely missed the point. I was explaining that I do mind, and I should be able to shop without being bothered by outside salespeople. Home Depot needs to stop allowing third-party vendors to hassle customers inside the store, and managers should take complaints seriously instead of minimizing them. I'm sure a lot more people don't like it than they are aware of, I almost didn't say anything and I'm sure most people won't. I found it funny she was speaking for all the customers that did like it thinking that I would care. Basically she told me that I was complaining wrong because I didn't listen to her.

Amazing staff and choices of groceries to choose from…read more I come here when I am out of something at home. Sometimes they don't have what I look for, but that's rare. Just be sure to check the "best by" dates on items. I scored meat that was a range between $4-$6 off since it was supposed to "expire" the day of. This was a steal because all I had was $14 and my total for 2 picnic packs of chicken, 1 pack of chicken breasts, and a fee other items came out to $14.02. This was definitely a rare occasion. I hope they don't get rid of this location since it's so convenient to the neighborhoods surrounding it.

Discriminates people with disabilities…read more Absolutely astonishing and upsetting how this establishment treated me and my service animal. This is not a disability friendly or accessible environment. I have a trained service animal who alerts me to impending seizures and assists me during seizure related emergencies, tasks recognized under the ADA. An employee aggressively demanded to know if my dog was a service animal. When I said yes, they demanded to know what my "disability" was. Under the ADA, staff cannot ask about the nature of a person's disability, demand documentation, or require proof of training. They are generally limited to asking whether the dog is required because of a disability and what task it has been trained to perform. When I asked for a manager, the employee brought over a male stocker who got in my face and behaved so aggressively that both I and my service animal were frightened. Another employee eventually gave me the owner's contact information. Kia Patterson, the owner, acknowledged that her staff had limited training regarding service animals, but when I asked to speak with her directly about what happened, she stopped responding to my emails. People with disabilities should not have to defend their right to enter a business or be intimidated simply for having a service animal. Proper training could have prevented this entire situation. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone who relies on a service animal. Absolutely unacceptable.
