I was told the build would take about five months so i was okay with that and waited accordingly.Phoned six months later on Jan 19th and asked how my frame was coming along, and was told that it would soon be ready.Recieved a phone call on Feb 18th to confim that the bike frame was being despatched on Monday 21st and would be with me on Weds 23rd Feb.Waited in all day Weds, no frame arrived. Phoned this morning and told that the frame was still in the shop waiting for a seat collar, and that they would send the frame as soon as one came in.I asked why no one phoned up to let me know tthat the frame had not been despatched and i was told they were not open on Wednesdays. Please call me pedantic if you wish too, but when you have spent 1700 quid on a frame you would expext slightly better customer service form such a reputable firm.So as of today Wednesday February 24th, seven months after the original order, i still have no frame, but i guess good thing come to all those who wait. To sum everything up about my Mercian Expeience so far, poor customer service,but i am guessing that the frame will be quality when it arrives.

Cyclo Monster came on top without a doubt having a fantastic range of standard & electric bikes covering a wide range. Their website is a huge help as it allowed me to see what they had, if it was in stock and full specifications of each model. I used the web chat to ask a few questions and arranged to visit to allow me to see what was offered and to take one for a demonstration ride. I visited the store as arranged and was immediately impressed by the extensive range of cycles and accessories. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful but not pushy which put me at ease. We reviewed the available range already in stock and I was drawn to a specific model so a demo ride was arranged with a minimum of fuss. One of the staff accompanied me on the ride to explain how the controls worked and the workings of the electrically assisted pedals. I decided to purchase it but it would be remaining in their workshop to get everything adjusted perfectly and the battery fully charged. I was extremely impressed with Cyclo Monster and recommend it to anyone looking for a new bike whether it be conventional or electric.

I had an inner tube blow out on the way to an interview. I dropped it off at Samways on the way through, came back 2 hours later and picked it up. I was riding home. Unfortunately at list price I can't afford to buy ANYTHING in the shop! They do price match if they can and order things in so it is a case of do your research beforehand and go in with a list and see what you can get. Top service work though.

The advertising and flyers and letterheads claim the cheapest prices guaranteed but when I pointed out the bike I wanted was £240 in Nottingham instead of the full RRP of £300 he was charging he told me he wouldn't move on the price and they were 'rock solid'. Some guarantee!
