It's a butcher but they have amazing and affordable comfort foods like bludwurst (blood sausage) eisbien (pork knuckle), gulasch, bratwurst etc. i chose the eisbien and while it doesn't look so appetizing, it truly is! The potatoes and sauerkraut make it a huge meal, and at 9 euro you really can't find anything of this size and quality around. The mustard was honestly the best I've ever had and it's just an all around special place. I came at 3:30 pm with barely a line and one table left to sit outside (plenty inside) and by 4:30 it was empty. The food comes out in moments. I was still eating an hour later bc this plate is gigantic. Friendly service too. I don't speak German and the girl at the counter didn't speak English, but we made it work. And the portion size is unreal. Easily could feed two people. They have a lot of traditional German options on the menu but I opted for the bratwurst with potatoes and sauerkraut. I ordered on Uber eats for pickup mainly because I was worried about the menu being overwhelming in person. Pickup was seamless and the food was packaged nicely. I tried to plate it in a somewhat elegant way and failed wildly. Despite it being the ugliest plate of food I've ever eaten, it was up there with the best in terms of taste. My only regret from my trip to Berlin is that I didn't go back to Domke on my last day. Really great diamond in the rough.

Feast on your eyes on the many counters this fine establishment has to offer. They've got a designated section for everything, of course. Poultry and seafood by the pound, sold to you fresh and ready for you to take home, or cooked there if you choose to dine in. If that's not your thing, there's plenty to choose from at the cafeteria-style end with ready made specials of the day (think schnitzel, potatoes, or pan fried fish) and the dozens of side dish counters where you also order by the pound. We made a full circle about 4 times before wrapping our heads around what we wanted to try (there's THAT much to choose from). In the end, we got a bit of everything from each counter. We ordered a few ounces of potatoes and different salads with herring, a few slices of smoked fish, and two servings of salmon and mawhich was served with boiled potatoes and some heavenly sauces.
