I was a transfer from another ob due to a change in insurance. I am 16 weeks and had the unfortunate experience of seeing her NP Anna Laura. My first complaint is the fact that she performed a Pap smear on me without even telling me what she was doing. Being an RN myself I can not believe she would perform such an invasive procedure without even telling me what she's doing. I even went as far as to let her nurse know beforehand that I did not want a Pap smear. There was a lack of communication and a lack of care. After telling her I didn't want it she justified her actions by stating "I'm just used to my routine". Her apology was not genuine and after asking her to let me know in the future before doing any procedure she responded by stating okay well let me tell you all the blood work we are doing, she proceeded to then name EVERY SINGLE blood test they were running- I had 12 tubes of blood removed and the fact that she named every single test was her way of being sarcastic. After telling her I am a nurse myself and that I know what all the testing was for she seemed to change her tone. I am not going back and was not satisfied at all with the lack of personal care. Also, important to note that Dr. Holste is only available at the sugar land campus every other Wednesday for 4 hours. read more
