I changed insurance providers and it required me to choose a PCP. This was new to me, but sometimes you have to do things you'd rather not and insurance coverage is still good so this change was a necessary evil. I looked through the list and found this place that was a mere 5 minute drive from where I live - plus, Dr. Do had pretty good reviews! We have a winner! I made an appointment for 10:30 am on Friday for my annual physical check up and arrived about 20 minutes ahead of the appointed time. I thought I would be finished and home by 11:30 so I had the entire day planned with that in mind, since I had a flight out of Houston that evening. The parking lot was pretty full and though the entire strip was located on a small road, the spots in front of the clinic side of the strip were full so I parked further down. Once in, over half of the seats in the waiting area were full. I know that the place had several doctors, so I didn't think too much of it. You go straight to the receptionist(s) at the counter. They don't really look at you until you say something. I'm hoping it's because they were busy and were not rude in general. However, once you have their attention, they're fairly nice in an all-business manner. It's their job to make sure you fill out all the forms. I filled out the forms and then returned them. It was close to my appointment time now. More people came in and I ended up sitting next to a nice Hispanic guy and we spoke for a while. I wasn't called in until 40 minutes after my appointment. Turns out my physical also included a female wellness check up. Fun stuff, but why not? Plus, it was all covered by my insurance. Might as well see what my body has been up to. The nurse that brought me in was really nice. When I told her that my appointment was actually at 10:30 when she said they weren't too far behind (when she came to get me, another patient on the waiting floor asked her how much longer she had to wait), she said that it wasn't too bad since it didn't hit the 1 hour mark. I found that wait time ridiculous. Even if there were delays, there are no excuses for that kind of delay (more than 15 minutes) unless you double booked. Apparently, they get really busy and the day before, they had a total of 30 patients just in the morning and they're off for an hour and a half for lunch. She asked me the usual questions and I felt pretty comfortable, despite the amount of time I spent waiting. I was then brought to a different room (turns out their other rooms were full so in order to not delay too much, they brought me in anyway) before my vital signs were taken. I blame my slightly higher than normal BP reading on that walk, haha. Then I was brought to an examination room for the actual consultation and procedures with Dr. Do. Dr. Do was really nice, asking things pertaining to my health but also about myself in general. I'm sure she was busy but I didn't feel rushed much. She also has an English accent. Finally, I was lead to a final room for the blood drawing and then given directions for the urine sample. The entire process was thoroughly explained and I was told the lab results would be ready in 3 days and could be accessed online. I would also be contacted by phone. I then "checked out" and that was that. I was starving by the time I got home by around 12:10 since I had a hunch that I would need my blood drawn, and they recommend you not eat. Overall, once inside, the experience was good. Outside, the wait is unreasonable and the receptionists could be a little more helpful. I feel like they're used to more regulars so some of the things aren't explained too much. Plus, I'm not sure if they know much about what the procedures include because I had called before the appointment to see if I needed to fast before the appointment. The person I spoke to wasn't sure but said that I should, "just in case." I thought about how wonderful it would be if I fasted for no reason. Good thing a couple of my friends had their check ups recently and they told me not to eat beforehand. One important thing since it seems like you're bound to wait: if you're on a time crunch, schedule your appointment as the first one of the morning or the afternoon so you're the first one in. Otherwise, bring entertainment or sit next to someone talkative. I don't mind my new PCP and location, but the wait time can definitely be shortened and the receptionists can be a little more knowledgeable. Or at least acknowledge you when you peer into their cube instead of stare at you before you tell them what you're there for. read more

The lack of communication and closure throughout this process reflects a level of disregard that I find deeply unprofessional and as an HR professional I cannot and will not stand for the disrespect and/or taking candidate's time for granted as they try to, in good faith and effort, obtain employment. Candidates invest significant time, research, and effort engaging with potential employers and when that is met with silence and/or with "ghosting", it speaks volumes about an organization's values, internal culture, and lack of empathy. While I had genuine interest in the opportunity, I no longer wish to be affiliated with a company that treats prospective employees in this manner. I will be sharing my experience with my professional network to ensure others are aware of how Advanced Diagnostics Healthcare Systems conducts itself in its hiring practices. I cannot properly express the level of disappointment this experience has left, however, I do hope you and your team take corrective actions in the future to ensure "ghosting" does not continue to happen because in the long term and whether or not you believe it, the only thing you're truly damaging is your own business. Unfortunately, there is no zero-star rating for fraud and fake surgeries. I got a 100% unnecessary spinal surgery. A doctor botched it, and then they got in a cover-up with my lawyer to hide it. This place works with shady personal injury attorneys, and they own the MRI clinic and give fake MRIs. Please go somewhere else. Do not let this happen to you. This company is a complete SCAM. They own several hospitals in Houston and Dallas. River Oaks Hospital (Houston), Advanced Diagnostics Hospital East (Houston), and Advanced Diagnostic Hospital and Clinics (Dallas). I'm not sure about the care within the facility. I was a vendor for the hospitals and provided short term staffing (nurses and techs). The hospital/corporation slow paid, and No pay. To date they currently owe us over $72,000. They will not answer phone calls, emails, or text. Do you own digging... look at all the lawsuits for fraud they have against them. AVOID THIS COMPANY. No integrity and they hide behind multiple layers of corporations. read more

This is my first year taking part in a HMO. In years past I was under a hospital employer's health plan, so it was pretty solid. After leaving, I basically got the bare minimum just in case, and really didn't look into the coverages. Luckily, I did not have to use it for the past 2 years. As of 2015, however, my gout has been acting up more and more. I at least once again and informed about what coverages I have and what my co-pays and deductibles are. I was assigned Victoria Do as my MD. She is literally less than 5 minutes from my house. I arrived at 10:15 for my 10:30 appointment. The place was packed. But I guess this is what happens when you are in a HMO type plan. It wasn't chaotic, and I can wait. Once inside the nurse got my vitals and measurements. Shortly afterwards the doctor arrived and had my diagnosis. She prescribed me some meds and had the nurse come back in to take some blood. I should be getting a call back in a few days as far as the results and coming back next month for my physical. This location is a fairly large clinic with multiple doctors on site. They have their own X-ray and a pharmacy just down the same strip center. I was just glad that Victoria listened to my pain instead of just going with whatever she felt like some MDs have done in the past. read more

I was overcharged over $1000 dollars and have made numerous attempts over the last few weeks to resolve this issue. No one every responded other than to send me a copy of my bill with no explanation. I finally got a response that a $746 refund was due. That wasn't the full amount but it was at least something. This is the message I received - "Please provide the last 4 digits of the 2 card numbers you used for these transactions. I can refund to the card the money was taken from (quickest way) or send in for a check which could take a few months to receive." The majority of the overpayment was made with a HSA account that is now inactive. Since the refund can't go back to a closed account, the only option is to wait a few months for a check. This is not acceptable. I'm exploring legal options to get my money back in a timely matter. read more

I wish I could give this less than one star. I chose this practice because it was the closest one to my new apartment (which was my first mistake, since I live in a pretty poor area). The first time I came in I waited over an hour past my appointment time (despite being early) just to see my doctor. She was nice. I had already gone to the trouble of finding this place and checking to see that they were in my insurance network, so I didn't think too much about changing practices. I had been in a couple other times because I was sick or had some kind of issue since then and each time I had to wait approximately an hour past my appointment time to see the doctor, which is ridiculous. Again, changing practices seemed like more trouble than it was worth since I usually only go to the doctor a couple times a year, so I just dealt with it. Approximately two weeks after my last appointment there I realized the two medications I have taken every day for the past 5 or 6 years were about to run out. For one of them, I thought I had another bottle, but realized that I did not when the medication ran out. My doctor had already asked me what medications I was on and had the information on the prescriptions as well as the "fill-by" dates, so naturally, I used the "convenient patient portal" to request refills and also send a message to her to make sure she understood that I literally had zero pills left of one of them. I never received a response from my doctor. Instead I received a message from someone else (I assume an administrator) stating that they could not get me any refills until I came in due to "protocol." I explained that it was dangerous for me to quit taking this medication cold-turkey and that I needed at least a small emergency refill to get me through the next few days until I could get an appointment (something I should not have had to explain to any medical professional). She finally said that she would pass this message on to my doctor (who I thought I was sending the message to in the first place). Again, I never received a message from my doctor. EVEN LATER (like, weeks later) I received a message from another person at the practice (still not my doctor) stating that they COULD give me a 30-day refill, but that I would then need to come in to arrange more refills. This would have been a reasonable initial response, but by that time they had already forced me to abruptly go off of medication I had been on for years. To make a long story short, I decided to find a new doctor at a different practice where they make patient health a priority instead of booking so many appointments that they are constantly behind schedule and can't even attend to established patients' needs. DO NOT GO HERE FOR AN IMMIGRATION PHYSICAL: My parents are applying for a green card. This process is hard enough. They were at the final stages and needed a medical exam from a civil surgeon, which are only a few doctors. We found this office online with Dr. Do Timeline Wednesday week 1- they had heir appointment. They have no insurance so we are paying out of pocket and on the phone we got quoted $310. I asked if there were gonna be any other coats. They said no. I couldn't make it to the appointment with my parents so they went alone. Big mistake. They were told they needed blood tests and vaccines. And charged them an extra 300-400 each. They didn't really understand what was going on so they paid it (they only speak conversational English, and a little broken). So here we are: 1400 deep. Then they are called Thursday and told they need to come in Friday. My dad doesn't really have a lot of time off but he made it work as they needed to read their TB tests. Fast forward to Friday. Surprise. They need more vaccines. 400 dollars more each. Now here is the one positive thing that happened. One of the nurses pulled my mom aside and told her she could get the vaccines at a reduced or free price at different places. I think she felt bad for us. And yes. The health dept in Houston has free or reduced vaccines. She was helpful. Ok so week 2. We go get the vaccines. It was a 3 day event. So Thursday morning we drop off all the records and ask if they are missing anything else. They say the doctor has to look at them but will let us know by the end of the day. No phone call was received Friday morning I called again. They said the doctor was in clinic all day but will get it done after. Again. No phone call. Monday I called again around 12. They answered and put me on hold before I could say anything. Got on hold for 10 min. Call dropped. Called again. Was put on hold again. Finally talked to someone who said it was ready and would be available to pick up this afternoon. Ok cool finally. Its 3pm. They only have one ready. I have to wait 20 min for the second one. Look I don't necessarily blame the staff. But whoever is running this place where poor immigrants are taken advantage off and the doctor can't be bothered to spend 10 minutes and sign a form that for some people is life or death after paying you $1400 cash is insulting on a personal level. read more

I was referred here and so I gave it a shot. I NEVER WILL GO BACK, I REFUSE. There is no sign outside anymore so you can't find the place unless you are looking hard. The roads were horrible and so many blocked roads. I would give this less than I star if I could they waited 2 months before scheduling and I had to wait another month because the doctor on worked on Friday's but they schedule me on a Monday(smh). I was told to be there 30 minutes early to fill out paper work. My appointment time was 9:30, I got there at 8:15 a little early. I'm a hour from this place and thought traffic would be bad. I started filling out paper work and no one told me to bring anything in specific. I got put in a room by 9:00 and I knew I would have to wait a little because I was there early. I sat in a room for 1 and half hours !!!! I was about to leave and the doctor strolled in like she wasn't late. It was 10:30 by then so she prescribed me meds ok fine whatever but I had to wait 2 weeks for the meds to even be processed because they forgot to send it off. I had a reaction to them and they weren't open til Monday morning. I called that morning and they said don't take it anymore and a nurse or doctor will call you back. 1 week go by so I called and oh a doctor will call you ... NEVER DID! 2 months later I go in for a MRI and THEY HAD THE AUDACITY TO DENY ME THE RIGHT TO KNOW MY OWN MRI RESULTS! So 4 months later no meds and no results ! What a nightmare!!! I love Dr. Victoria Do. She is super sweet and caring. I don't understand why people get so upset when doctor appts start late. Yes you have an appointment but that is only to let the office know you are coming. Yes sometimes you have to wait longer than expected but that is normal if you are expecting some sort of decent care. Doctors run over because they are busy counseling, listening to patients, looking over labs, doing treatments, return patients calls, and a billion other things. I have Dr. Do as my PCP. She is excellent at what she does. But yes, you have to wait long to get her. I takes at least a week for me to get an appointment with my PCP. Also, they adjust the Dr.Do 's appointments with Dr. Vajpayee who is good too. Finally I find this place okay to my needs but can be more helpful if they can reduce the longer waits in the examination rooms and also for the schedule of the appointments. read more

First off just turn around before going here despite the good reviews about Dr. Do (reason why I chose this office). I had just moved and needed a new PCP, I came across dr do because she had amazing reviews though I wish I never came. I wait about 25 minutes before going in to be seen then another 25 mins after I was in the room. She came in and did her usual and asked if I knew I had low blood pressure, I didn't. After all the routine stuff she sent me to get my blood work done and wait for it, THE LADY HIT A NERVE IN MY ARM. I spent a whole weekend with an electric shock and numbness going throughout my whole arm, called her and she told me to come in Monday to see what the damages are. Coming back in Monday, I waited AN HR AND HALF before being seen by dr do. Do you know how ridiculous this was? Don't ask me to come in at a specific time and not be able to see me for an hr and half wasting my time. This visit was 3 hours of my time. read more
